TTC after miscarriage - May 2020

I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

@Ejb86 towards the end of last year my cycles were 38, 33, 38, 31. So with the 38 day cycles I would be thinking I was late but then get a bfn. But they have settled down now to be more regular so you will get there. Fingers crossed for you it’s soon as it will make it easier to track. X

@VP91x I’m hoping so. From yesterday and this morning I keep getting what I feel is ovulation pain. But when I’m testing getting low lh on digital tests and between low and ‘low medium’ level of cheapies. Hopefully will get my peak in next few days

@2020wish that is a good sign! I have been having EWCM and still having low on my digi too so don't feel too down. Have you checked your CM? X

@VP91x I was never really good at checking cm and tmi but with DTD as much as we can how can I tell the difference 😂😂

@Mommybear05 I'm still feeling a little irritable but think that happens in the run up to my period because of hormones so not that surprising. I think DP will be annoyed if I test early which will probably keep me from doing it, he knows I'll probably get upset so doesn't understand why I'd bother. AF is due in a week and the 4th week is probably going to be more of a challenge than the 3rd week. Haha me and DP talk about 'topping me up' aswell you've got to make it fun in this ttc life haven't you x

@2020wish I've stopped drinking this month, probably completely coincidental but I actually gave up drinking after Xmas (just because I was sick of the sight of it) and unexpectedly conceived 4 weeks later so thought I'd give it a go this time but honestly I think a glass here or there isn't going to make much difference I'm just partial to a bottle 🙈 my first cycle post MC was 3 days longer just think about it in the way that your body shed it's uterine lining and you want ovulation to a be a tad later so that it has time to build another one up so it could support a new pg. hopefully you will get your peak in the next couple days xx

Eeek - after a mc at end if Feb - I finnaly feel like my body is getting back to it’s rhythm!! I actually got an opk high!! This didn’t happen last month, the test line never got to the same colour or darker - it was a lighter to look at (but the darkest it had ever got) so I assumed that was my peak - and the next day it plummeted back down to super light again!

So we dtd early hours this morn (SO not glamourous but our dog needed an early hours eating grass session, then we were awake so decided to lol!) so with it being this dark - am I meant to do it this eve (or is today covered?) and tomo eve as well? I don’t want to give hubby performance issues - he knows I’m in the lh surge as bless him he has been taking an interest, but he’s also an overthinker - so the pressure of knowing this could be baby making sex could definitely hinder him a bit 😕

Also - am I right in thinking that once the LH surge goes down, ovulation has happened? I do bbt anyways so that will confirm, but it was so damn hot yesterday and I got a bit sun pink that I think I’m running hotter than norm anyways 😂

@2020wish I haven’t stopped drinking, but am not a big drinker anyways - I don’t like most alcoholic drinks (but give me cocktails and I’m away!!) and I’m way to lazy to make my own cocktails 😂 but my friend who is 2 weeks ahead of where I would have been, drank in her tww as she didn’t know she was pregnant, she only used a free app and had input her period wrong (they were looking to start a family soon but wanted to wait a few more months as they were living in a building site of a house due to extension work!). We all went out for cocktails and we had loads! I’d say do whatever stresses you out the least :)

@bellabubble great you are seeing evidence of a surge. I believe you ovulate after this. I really don’t know too much but for me this month my cm was like water and then one day it went sticky and I assumed that the signal ovulation had already happened. Maybe you could check over the next couple of days? If you dtd the early hours I’d say you’re covered for tonight and then maybe try again tomorrow? Xx

@SmileyT partial to a bottle haha. Honestly I couldn’t. Two glasses of wine and I’m sick! But one is nice for me. Yes it’s that fourth week of waiting that’s tricky. Ovia is telling me to test before af is due for some reason. I’m not going to. Af due Friday so I’ve got a weeks wait ahead 🙄 xx

@Bellabubble so the peak should be approx 12-36hrs before ovulation so you'll probably ovulate today or tomorrow 🙌🏾 the lh will stay in peoples systems for different amount of times so I think you are supposed to start the 36hr clock from first peak regardless of whether the next test is a peak. Then you have max 24hrs after ovulation so i'd say by midnight on Monday it will definitely be over but could be as early as Sunday evening. DTD when you can but definitely not worth giving DP a complex about performance to get an extra one in. Always best to check with BBT and then you can gain an idea on how long it is from peak to ovulation for you xx

@Mommybear05 my Ovia is telling me to test in 6 days but predicting period in 10 days - is your AF due around 14th then? i wish my body stopped responding positively to alcohol first couple weeks after MC I was 90% wine 😂

@VP91x glad it's not just me that loves a bottle, I stopped when I was pg and it wasn't an issue but once I start I just want to keep going 🙈

I'm purposely buying the small bottles of wine ... if I bought the big ones I'd drink it all 😂

I hope you are all well. Sorry it's been a while but have been trying to manage my anxiety in the evenings so have been keeping away from my phone.

Having a quick read through, it looks like there have been a few BFP's which is great! These stories really do give me hope.

I'm currently on CD15 with flashing smileys for the past 3 days. Getting a bit stressed now as I usually have a 28/29 cycle so was thinking ovulation would have happened by now. Not having much luck on the cheapies either so am worried it might not even be in with a chance this month

@Isittimeforbubblesyet hi :) yes sometimes it’s nice to take a break and staying away from the phone definitely helps with that! Your luteal phase needs to be ten days for implantation I think so you still have time :) fingers crossed for you too.

@SmileyT apprently af is due 15th but it’s telling me to test in three days. I won’t be testing in three days! I’ll test after the 15th if we get that far!

So girls as we know I’m all feeling positive this month. And thEn today I find out neighbours daughter expecting twins (lovely 😊) but then they’re like ‘oh when will you have more? You don’t want to leave it too long!’ People are unaware of my sore spots! I’m still trying not to let it get me down though! It will happen when it happens 😊

Never mind my rant this morning about never thinking I was going to ovulate this month. Got my peak there now on cheapies and digital from like 0 this morning. Never been so happy 😁 when should I start to see a change in the bbt?

@Mommybear05 I'm still in the zone that I can't bare to hear news about other people's pregnancies. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but both my sister in laws are pregnant one from hubby's side and the other on my side. When I found out it was my heart had been totally ripped out. Anyway I am slowly coming to terms with it but today my brother text today to say that they are having a boy which is lovely but it still hurts 😔 so I totally get what you mean about sore spots xx

@HE88 I know actually how u feel, I’m heart scared of any of my family or friends announcing pregnancies before me as I will be heart broken. I’ve a feeling my sister will :( I seen a girl in shops today with a baby bump and my heart sank

@2020wish it's such a horrible feeling I guess we just need to try and keep positive and hope that our time will come. Also realise that it's ok to feel sad/angry about other people's announcements, after all we are only human. Xx

@he88 yes I think I do remember you saying that. That must be tough being so close to home. I’m kind of avoiding pregnant friends. Just can’t deal. The neighbours daughter I don’t know so well so it doesn’t really bother me, until I get asked when we’re having another 🙈 and then it stings! But people mean nothing by it. Xx

@Mommybear05 ah, thats why people should never ask when you're having a baby regardless of whether you have none or 4 children already! You never know the situation.

@HE88 hope you are also feeling okay. So hard to be genuinely happy for other people when you're still dealing with everything. Sending you a big hug xx

@Mommybear05 tbh I'm just trying to forget about it not sure how I'll be when the babies are born though as they are due pretty close to when I would have been due.
I know people don't mean anything by it, it's just a passing comment they make. Xx
