TTC after miscarriage - May 2020

I'm CD1 of cycle 2 TTC #1 so thought I'd start a new thread for anybody in the same situation who didn't get their April BFP.

I had a MMC found on a scan at 9.5weeks after seeing HB at 7 weeks 🙁 I had SMM on the 19th March but no luck in my first month and AF got me today. Normal cycles are 28days so I hope to be testing around the 20th May. This month I will be tracking ovulation using CB connected and trying out Preseed for the first time hoping this helps towards my 🌈 but tonight I'll just be having a G&T 💁🏾‍♀️

Hi again ladies, I’ve caught up on the thread. I’m on cd10 but don’t usually ovulate until day 18 so got a bit of a wait ahead. I’ve emailed Tommy’s midwives as I’ve been worried about my cycle. I found they’re reply so helpful so I’ve attached it for you all. Hopefully it will be a comfort to those a of you struggling with cycles being a bit off after MC as mine has been. (I’ve had spotting in between periods, breast really sore at random times etc). I’m hoping my body will do what it needs to do to get ready for a BFP soon x

@Renna it wasnt me that mentioned it but iv seen the same video on youtube iv watched a few of her videos i really like her :) .. defo watched the tww one before like u x x

Hey @Mommybear05 wondered where u had gotten too! What dpo are u now i know u said u had similar last month and af showed but could it poss be implantation?... im CD 15 and due to ovulate next weekend if i have another 38day cycle x x

@Hayleylou89 yeah I did cheapies too then when I saw the darker line in the afternoon I did the CB later that night xx
Yeah I've looked into the calc fluor so think I'll start taking it from Saturday . I saw a post on mumsnet from a lady asking about it jan this year but no one replied I asked her if she used it and how she got on. She said it worked and shes now 9 weeks pg. Who knows if it's that that helped but worth a try. Xx I've never really thought to look on you tube . Her videos seem really helpful and she seems professional xx attached pic of my cheapies xx

I finally got my period post mc! And my HCg levels last week were at 10. Going to do another blood test next Friday to confirm that they have dropped to zero. I think it will be a fast drop to 0 now that I've started my period. Well, I'm hoping haha! I'm getting excited for my first fertile period post MC, I feel ready for a fresh start. Told DH to get some energy drinks, because I'm planning on dtd non stop 😂😂🤣

@Mommybear05 I was wondering how you were getting on, good that you were busy during the TWW and without tracking so much hopefully it was a bit calmer. I'm still tootling along 5 days behind you, so cd20 - 6dpo. Really hoping the spotting is a good sign, will you test or just see if AF arrives after 31 days?

@Sallyjo27 I think that is really sensible advice we can't expect our bodies to just jump back and hormones are affected by our stress and sleep so post MC in lockdown is probably not helping them regulate. We all just need to be patient and it will happen. Really hoping this a lucky month for you, fertile window is just around the corner x

6dpo for me and I'm surprisingly calm, normally I'm googling every symptom trying to convince myself something is happening but so far so good

CD10 now - so it is SMEP day 😂
Yesterday afternoon had a little more EWCM and this morning definitely very 'wet' (sorry) watery, and some EWCM too. Done my CB Advanced but still on blank circle, but I must be heading into fertile window according to my CM, right?

My BBT temp chart is creeping up so hoping this weekend I start getting flashing smilies.

@Dipsy77 glad you are feeling good in your TWW! Are you thinking of testing before AF due?

@Sallyjo27 that is a good response from them. Hopefully, your cycle will be fine this month and you get your BFP! Xx

Ordered the cal flour on amazon for prime Sunday delivery. Excited to try them @Renna. Do you know how much and how often we take them?

I’m due to ovulate either this weekend or early next week.

I've always got a positive by 10dpo I think I implant early so I probably will test if I get any symptoms if not I'll wait xx

@2020wish how are you feeling today?

@VP91x these definitely sound like positive signs you are in your fertile window I went straight from blank circle to static and I've concluded (based on no real evidence) that my oestrogen may have been too high when I started testing for it to catch an oestrogen surge but it still caught the lh surge. Good thing with SMEP is you don't have to worry you've missed it 🙌🏾

6dpo for me and had a little cry last night for no real reason, this morning I got up with DP when he went for work at 5.30am so think I'm going to head back to bed, meditate and enjoy a day not having to walk into work. Maybe finally start the sinner later or finish afterlife ☺️

@2020wish @Renna do they affect your cycle at all? Or is it just to support implantation? I know some of the supplements lengthen LP etc.

@Dipsy77 hopefully you start getting some symptoms soon! 😊

@SmileyT ah yes you did! I'm going to do a couple of extra IC ones today to see if there is any line progression. But yeah, SMEP should catch it all.

I'm sorry you felt sad yesterday. Did you read or see anything that may have caused it? Yeah, do lots of things that you enjoy today and hopefully it lifts your spirits. Xx

@HE88 hi! You’re in your tww too. How are you getting on? When will you test? I’m very unfamiliar with my cycles but last month my first post mc was 31 days so who knows?

@VP91x aw thanks for thinking of me! How are you? Spotting exactly the same as last time just two drops of bright red! Pretty much the same day as last month too.

@Sallyjo27 thanks for sharing that looks really interesting. I’ve also been having random spotting between periods and sore boobs. I just want everything to settle down! Hope you’re ok.

@Hayleylou89 hi! Not sure what day po I am as I’ve not really been tracking. I did think maybe ib last month and I googled lots. It all amounted to nothing so I’m not going to bother this time! Won’t change the outcome! Your time is coming up soon now then! Is your bedroom finished yet?

@SmileyT hi good to hear from you. So you’re in the 2ww? How are you feeling? No I’ve promised myself this time I will definitely wait if af doesn’t show. I’ve got two shiny new frer tests in the cupboard if I need them. I don’t want to waste them on a bfn! I’m just keeping very busy and really trying not to think of all this and it’s doing me well I think! Dtd loads around when I assume I ovulated and every other day too so can’t do more than that haha. What about you will you test or wait?

@Dipsy77 glad you are feeling good in your 2ww. Me too with the being calm! When I was pg before no symptoms until I was six weeks so why bother driving myself mad haha. My fingers are crossed for you x

My main symptom is I get really shiny nails they look like I have put clear nail varnish on, usually my nails are really flaky and weak, nothing so far but I'll have to wait and see, I also get crampy and the cat won't leave me alone when she usually doesn't bother me x

Oh I remember feeling really emotional and teary in my tww when i conceived last time, maybe something’s happening? I got up at 5am this morning also with DH. Going to have some breakfast and back to bed hope you feel better

Anyone heard of using l’arginine for helping with implantation?

@VP91x not really had any symptoms! Just waiting to see what happens! Hubby is off work next week now as well so that will be good to have him home for the last bit of my 2ww. Fertile time for you! Will you and dp have fair opportunity for the deed? X

@Mommybear05 yup, it was such a relief to see AF. I'm kinda of glad I didn't conceive straight after MC (even though I was trying), because now that I think about it, the stress of being unsure of dates and falling/rising Hcg levels would have probably been too much for me. I'm just trying to do all that I can to maximize chances of conceiving, but I also feel more at peace with myself now after getting my first AF.

I'm tracking bbt and will also be doing clearblue opk, cheapie OPKs and will do my usual cm tracking as well. I'm using two apps now, Ovia and Fertility friend (shows better bbt charts than Ovia).

@2020wish hope it goes well with the Drs I'm sure they will understand you needing more time, are work pretty sympathetic. I know we are all different but I actually ended up telling people at work because the avoiding why I was off made it more stressful for me. L'arginine is supposed to be good throughout cycle as it increases blood supply to ovaries and uterus, 1000mg tablets are also in my amazon basket ready to press purchase if AF arrives 😂 hopefully the tears are a good sign but I've promised myself I won't symptom spot as I had nothing until about 5 weeks in last pg and don't want to set myself up for disappointment. @Mommybear05 ahh I'm so glad you are doing well and staying calm. You are so right, stressing and testing early won't change the outcome but it will be the best feeling when you get those FRER out and you know it'll be a nice strong line, so no doubt afterwards. I'm exactly the same, I reckon AF is due around the 17th but I won't test until the 20th if it hasn't arrived.

@VP91x no i actually didn't see anything sad but work was really busy and sometimes I leave the office and it all just gets on top of me, for the first time in a while I think I was actually stressed about something that wasn't ttc so maybe I should take that as a plus. OH was like 'do you think it's because your happy hormones reduce in the 2nd half of your cycle' bless him he really does try and engage with this whole thing 😂 hope you get your static smily soon, I know it happened to me this cycle and it's all fine but it's bloody frustrating testing every morning and seeing that ⭕️

@renna wow those progression lines are so good, my temp went up quite a bit today just under the cover line which is odd so i decided to start my clear blue and got the ⭕️ today so will use cheapies alongside and see how i get on seeing them progress over the weekend x
