Hi,

I’m 29 and on cycle 2 of TTC. I’m 3dpo and now in my two week wait. I have no friends with children or anyone who is TTC so looking for online buddies to ride this out with!

Anybody in the same boat as me who wants to chat and be a little neurotic together?

Xx

I'm surprised, but did think I may be pregnant as I've been feeling off all week.
I've had similar symptoms to My first Pregnancy, and I just kinda knew from about 5dpo, found out at 11dpo last time.

I had cramps 4/5 dpo, left side.
Been feeling icky, appetite gone, not fancying anything to eat, headaches, dizzy spells, tired.
Then from about 8dpo I've had thick white sometimes yellowy dc.
Had cramps last night, real lower tummy. I rarely get period cramps.

I'm so nervous. It's still early, just Hoping the line progresses OK!

I posted it on another thread, and 2 girls told me they had all those. Symptoms then had a chemical, so Obv now I'm stressing about that!
Think it's really unfair to reflect personal experiences onto Someone else's bfp.

Lolliloo1234 · 25/04/2020 10:34

@Popcat120 I think people do that because they want to manage your expectations to prepare you for the worst so you don’t go through the same pain as them. Their intentions are probably good, however, I find in these threads people can become very consumed by their own journeys (because we all know it’s all consuming at time’s right?!) and forget that actually not every bodies experience is the same and they’re not being helpful!!!

Go and enjoy your wonderful news with your DH and celebrate. The more stress free you are, the better. I’m so so pleased for you lovely 🎉

Btw I do know how to punctuate - bloody autocorrect with the useless apostrophes.

Thanks @lolliloo1234 💗
Yeah I get that, if you're on a difficult journey ttc yourself, I get that it's so hard, it all Consuming and hats of to you all going through it every month struggling to conceive.
I feel so so lucky, with my DS and this time, we've fell first month of trying.

Every pregnancy is fragile, all I can do is hope it progresses well.
I'm not due til Thursday, so I think I will feel better by end of next week when AF hasn't shown up!

mrsmummy111 · 25/04/2020 11:08

@Popcat120 honestly I really wouldn't be concerned with what other people are saying, they sound like very standard pregnancy symptoms to me and there's absolutely no way to tell this early on regardless.
I think they were probably saying it just to make you aware, but everyone's bosh is completely different and it isn't overly helpful when we all know how stressful TTC can be for some people anyway.
The best thing you can do is relax and enjoy it!!

mrsmummy111 · 25/04/2020 11:08

Suki2020 · 25/04/2020 15:14

@Popcat120 congratulations 🎉

Wineandrun · 25/04/2020 20:08

Congratulations!!!

I’m out this month, fairly sure I ovulated later than I thought, I knew it was happening but I was on a night shift and knackered when I got home 😂

Fingers crossed for next month girls!

Popcat120 · 26/04/2020 12:08

Line progression from yesterday to today (bottom one!)
I don't think there's any doubt about it! 😯

Wineandrun · 26/04/2020 14:40

@Popcat120 that’s fantastic, so happy for you 😁😁😁

Sammyclaire22 · 26/04/2020 16:24

Lovely news @popcat120! As the others have said ignore half of the advice on here. All those symptoms could be pms, pregnancy healthy or otherwise- the point is they are all so similar and also can be caused by other things like stress or illness. I think your gut feeling is the one to go by and you have decent 'line progression and hopefully an exciting 9 months and beyond ahead of you!

Cd2 here so probably a other couple of days then need to get on with the bding incase ov comes early again. Happy to help with opk advise, I've used them for a while. Can send a photo of my progression over a cycle if that's a help? X

Snowberry4 · 27/04/2020 04:43

@popcat120 many congratulations!!!! Super thrilled for you!!! It's so nice to see a positive story and keep the rest of us motivated hehe.

I'm out this month and won't be able to join a May bus due to no ovulation meds left and appointment being cancelled by corona. But if everyone's still trying around july/August I'll be joining a bus thread hehe. Good luck ladies x x x

BelleDell · 27/04/2020 07:53

Hi all,

Who else due AF around 8/9 May?

Can I join for this thread? This is my first MN post. 31, TTC cycle one. Nervous about TTC, feels like a new chapter has started and no clue whether it’ll be a happy/stressful/sad one. Excited though.

I’m 31, first cycle TTC. Currently 5DPO (is that the lingo). Trying not to symptom spot at all but of course that’s impossible right!

@Popcat120 congratulations. I hope your pregnancy continues very well, as there should be no reason it shouldn’t - so enjoy it :).

Lolliloo1234 · 27/04/2020 08:28

Hi @BelleDell

Of course you’re welcome to join! Big fingers crossed for you!!

Im cycle #3 but I think I’ve not been DTD enough so DP is in for a great time the next two weeks. I’m only CD6 so about to start the run up to Ov.

I’m trying to conceive baby #1 so I get how you are feeling. I can’t wait to be a Mum!

We’re here to navigate it with you!

CD7 sorry - man I should probably keep a closer eye on it haha!

mrsmummy111 · 27/04/2020 11:39

Morning everyone!

Welcome @BelleDell - you've come to the right place Smile sending lots of good luck to you on your first cycle!

I'm also CD7 today, but my temp this morn randomly dropped (it's my baby boy's FIRST birthday today - lots of tears) so I slept badly, think I was excited / emotional about today so not sure if that's why. But I took an OPK just now but forgot about it so not sure whether that affects it the same way as preg tests? Is there such a thing as evap on OPKs?

Anyway this is what it looks like. Presuming that's normal for CD7 if I'm potentially ovulating CD14?

Thanks you lovely lot

3dpo and looking for TTC friends
Sammyclaire22 · 28/04/2020 20:16

@mrsmummy111 how was your temp today? I'd imagine if it was a one off drop it was probably due to the bad sleep
The pale opk is normal if you arnt due to ov soon- look for it being as dark or darker than the control to know you are on your peak! X

mrsmummy111 · 01/05/2020 14:44

Hi again ladies!
How often should I be doing OPKs? I am on CD 11 and normally ovulate around CD 14/15 (I think???) x

mrsmummy111 · 01/05/2020 14:49

I've just been doing it once a day around lunchtime. Here are them in order from CD 8-11 top to bottom.
Line obv getting darker but should I be testing more regularly?

3dpo and looking for TTC friends
Sammyclaire22 · 01/05/2020 17:09

@mrsmummy111 no i would say you are doing fine- the average day is cd14 I think so looks right on track. Some apps suggest doing it more frequently once you get a high incase you miss the peak.
Fwiw i tend to start dtd alternate days once it starts getting stronger so I've had a few bd in the bag before ovulation day too (roughly smep) then I try to dtd the day of and after a peak x

mrsmummy111 · 01/05/2020 17:22

Thanks @Sammyclaire22 !!

Ok great just didn't want to miss my peak but if it starts getting stronger or maybe tomorrow / CD13 I'll start testing a little more.

Yes we've DTD alternate days since CD8 and will do until I get a peak test then will try to do 3 days in a row to follow SMEP too. (I say try because DH is still working a pretty demanding job and we are definitely not one of those "3 times a week" couples!!

Lolliloo1234 · 01/05/2020 21:02

@mrsmummy111 I hear ya on that one - also on CD11, DP is out already 😂😂
