I’ll keep testing 🤞🏽

Katie1109 · 27/04/2020 14:54

@Missgoldilocks see attached x as you can see it’s up and down x I really would not trust cervix at all, just checked mine and it feels like top of my thumb x also I have barely any cm x I know everyone is different, I just want to reassure you that what we always said about soft cervix and a lot of cm meaning pregnancy it’s basically bollocks x

Danni2019 · 27/04/2020 15:11

@Reggieroo29 I use those green tip OPKs and I get a high in the morning and I test again in the evening and usually get a peak so I would keep testing just in case you get your peak tonight. X

LV1987 · 27/04/2020 16:48

The plot thickens... Pinky/brown CM when wiping this afternoon, what the frig is going on?! Surely I shouldn't be getting that alongside a flashy smiley. No idea what my lady bits are doing to me right now. Not sure if I want to waste an OPK on my evening pee now 😑

Fredthespider · 27/04/2020 17:20

@LV1987 Do you think there's a chance that you missed your peak this month and started testing too late? Estrogen rises twice per month, once in the lead up to ovulation then again in the build up to AF. So if you started testing after O but before AF you would see a flashing smiley. I did this my first month of testing when I was trying for number 1 as I'd come off the pill and had no idea when I would ovulate. I got the flashing then AF arrived :(

Reggieroo29 · 27/04/2020 17:31

I’ll test later then and see. Thank you

Missgoldilocks · 27/04/2020 19:21

@LV1987 also ovulation can cause slight bleeding? It happened to my sister... But like @Fredthespider said maybe af is coming? Your last period was it light?

@Fredthespider how are things btw x

LV1987 · 27/04/2020 19:25

@Fredthespider not unless I was on track for a 28 day-er (or less) this month... I started testing on CD10 (possibly 12), last month was either 34 or 36 days, depending on spotting. So if I missed it, it would have been pretty early on. I think it's going to be another month of not knowing when I am due on now, which sucks balls! If it's imminent, then at least I will know when to start testing next month I guess. Bloody waste of 30 quid though 😳

LV1987 · 27/04/2020 19:30

@missgoldilocks my last period was ridiculous! It took a while to come in but when it did eff me did I know about it! It was heavy like I've never known before, and I was so so grateful to be working from home, as I do not remember having a period this painful since I was in my teens. It was that bad that about half way through (it lasted 8 frigging days) I was adamant I was going back on the pill 😂 I think I will just have to wait it out and see what happens over this next week, but I feel like absolute arse still 😭

Mumofboys17 · 27/04/2020 20:49

@LV1987 I'm not 100%.. but is there any chance it could be implantation? Has it stayed light and only on wiping? Xx

Morning ladies, hope everyone's ok?
AF arrived in full and heavy flow for me this morning 🙄 yayyy... onto cycle 10 we go!
Who's left to test? X

OP posts:
Katie1109 · 28/04/2020 07:43

@Mumofboys17 sorry the witch got you hun x cycle 10 was my lucky (hopefully) one so fingers and toes crossed for you x is anyone left to test? Girls I’m worried I’ve got no symptoms at all, boobs and nips slightly sore but that’s about it. Is this normal? I’m sorry I ask you, I hope it’s ok? If not, I get it just say so x I know some of you already have children and we have few girls here currently pregnant x

Mumofboys17 · 28/04/2020 07:49

@Katie1109 trying REALLY hard to stay positive 😬😂 I'm losing my optimism slowly each cycle at the moment x
I was trying to remember pregnancy symptoms etc last night. I felt pretty 'normal' for about 6 weeks tbh, just more tired and hungry 😂 I didn't get morning sickness either just felt a bit rough in the mornings but again that was about 6 weeks onwards.
Everyone is totally different, I'm sure everything is fine!! Totally understand why you'd be cautious though. Is there any private scan clinics still open near you? I think you can get scans done from 6 weeks, you wouldn't see much but may put your mind at rest xx

OP posts:
LV1987 · 28/04/2020 07:54

Morning all

@Mumofboys17 sorry about AF. I don't think mine is implantation bleeding as it looks like old blood. It was only when I wiped, and seems to be gone this morning 🤷‍♀️ I've noted on my tracker that it happened, now I guess I have to try not to dwell on it and see what happens over the next few weeks. Not knowing where I am in my cycle is getting to me a bit more each month, I really thought it would be easier than this. Flashy smiling again this morning... It feels like it's mocking me now 😑

@katie1109 I've not been pregnant myself, but remember that every pregnancy is different x x x

Katie1109 · 28/04/2020 07:55

@Mumofboys17 thanks hun x yeah there is a couple of them not far away and I was considering booking a scan for around 7-8 weeks if we make it that far x I haven’t even called GP yet, should I do it already?

Danni2019 · 28/04/2020 08:05

@Katie1109 with my little boy I didn't really get any symptoms until after 6 weeks in which I started to feel a bit sick every so often but that was the only symptom I had. When I got my positive I remember feeling a bit tired but that was about it no other symptoms at all not even sore boobs. My other pregnancy when I had my MC at 8 weeks I had all the symptoms going so every pregnancy is definitely different and please try not to worry which is easier said than done. I think an early scan would be good to put your mind at rest. I know at my surgery you just refer yourself to the midwifes and don't have to go through the doctor but they don't see you until around 8 weeks for a booking in appointment here so if I get my BFP don't think I will be doing anything until I have been for an early scan x

Quiffy · 28/04/2020 08:18

@katie1109 I only had a heightened sense of smell and hard nipples. Things started kicking in around 6/7 weeks for me. So try not to worry too much

Missgoldilocks · 28/04/2020 08:22

@katie1109 twice before when I got pregnant I didn't realise at all till I was 7 weeks I had no symptoms and I've been pregnant and had symptoms earlier once. So please don't worry too much, just try to relax xx

@Mumofboys17 I'm so sorry af came hun 🤗🤗 I know its so hard to stay positive I'm exactly the same 😩 honestly I'm dreading af coming on my period it's going to ruin my mood! I'll have to cry it out and try and get back to normal! I'm 9dpo today, due in 4 or 5 days 😞 it's going to come xx

Mumofboys17 · 28/04/2020 08:24

@Katie1109 yeah my surgery is similar like Danni says, I had to make a booking appointment with the midwife over the phone with my surgery, they also asked which hospital I wanted my care to be at (we have 3 local to us). I think I saw the midwife at 10 weeks, obviously with the pandemic going on just be prepared that may be a phone call and not face to face (I work with the NHS and in child related services) midwives and health visitors are literally seeing no one at the moment! X

@Danni2019 a bit off topic but do you think the whole lack of sickness thing is relevant to having boys? I've never been pregnant with a girl but everyone I know that had girls has had awful sickness. Either that or we're just some of the lucky ones I guess 😂 x

Katie1109 · 28/04/2020 08:40

Ladies thank you so much x @Quiffy I’ve got two Window to the Womb clinics within easy driving distance and they’re both open, that’s what I was looking at x I will go with your advice and wait till 8 weeks then x
@Danni2019 and @Missgoldilocks thank you, that’s reassuring x

@Mumofboys17 it is one of the old wives tales that lack of morning sickness tends to be a boy x but obviously I’ll take it with a pinch of salt x I will ring my GP end of this week if everything is still ok x I’m just so scared it’s not going to stick 😭

Mumofboys17 · 28/04/2020 08:44

@Katie1109 I remember feeling like that with DS. I was absolutely convinced something would go wrong, so much so when we were driving to our private scan appt (I was 12 weeks) I apologised to DH and told him to just be prepared that the baby was probably already gone. How mad is that?! 😂 obviously DS was completely fine, he's currently sat next to me on the sofa having a meltdown because his daddy went to the kitchen to make a coffee 🙄😂 joys, you have all this to look forward to!! Newborns are much easier than toddlers!! 😂😂😂
My point is this is ALL normal. Give yourself a break, rest when you can and be kind to yourself. This part all is almost worse than waiting for the BFP!! xx

Danni2019 · 28/04/2020 08:47

@mumofboys17 very well could be linked to having a boy. I had a very easy pregnancy I was so lucky worked right up to my due date and went into labour 2 days after finishing work. All went to pot with the Labour though as he ended up breech and had to go for an emergency section. He was also a very easy baby and a good sleeper and still is sleeps his 12 hours almost more every night and rarely wakes up x

Mumofboys17 · 28/04/2020 08:55

@Danni2019 ah now see I almost totally agreed with you there, my DS' birth was awful too (only just avoided going for C section as he was too far down at that point) but as a baby he was terrible, screamed all day and night, never slept, eventually worked out he had cmpa and reflux. I was breastfeeding too so I went dairy free for about a year for him! Hardest thing I've ever done in my life 😂😂 but, we lived to tell the tale!
It's funny actually, reminiscing about all of that makes me so grateful for what I have. If I can manage that I can manage a little disappointment I spose. As annoying as it is that I'm not pregnant yet. 🙄 why are we choosing to do this twice?! Someone remind me 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Missgoldilocks · 28/04/2020 09:17

@Mumofboys17 @Danni2019 I had no sickness with my son either but had to have a c section as I wouldn't dilate x

Langpants · 28/04/2020 09:40

Hi ladies. Just checking in to say hello and how are you all doing? Anyone in the 2WW at the moment?

I am only supposed to be ovulating in a few days but I've got ovulation pains today. Going to DTD later in case. Feeling so knackered after the house move that I'm not going to put any pressure on this round. Don't think I'm touching an OPK this time. Xx
