TTC after ectopic pregnancy

Hello I'm hoping to chat with other ladies ttc after ectopic pregnancy with tubal removal. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. I don't know anyone who has been through this so I've no one to talk to about this. I would love this tread to become a kind of support group where we can support each other on the scary journey of ttc.

I just had a complete panic attack. It hurts when I lie on either side and it hurts when I pee. Even though I have my periods I convinced myself I was having another ectopic and took my last pregnancy test. I also have a queasy feeing in my tummy. This is all so hard.

@Ivybutterfly hi hun are you OK. It's sounds like a water/kidney infection. Can you call your doctor

Well my FW is now over - so into the TWW I go...feeling more hopeful this month, think we timed DTD much better but all depends on which side I've ovulated from.

I went to the doctor. I have a kidney infection. I had been ignoring it because of the Coronavirus. Really silly. I have antibiotics now. Thank you. Good luck everyone. Xxxx

Yes and to you @Mumlili9 thank goodness you were doing ov tests or you'd never think you were ovulating then!!!

How's everyone getting on? Just entering my fw but trying to be more relaxed this cycle and not track x

Just entering the TWW. My fertile week was last week but never got a 'high' on my opks so not really sure what is going on. Just going to take it day by day and not symptom spot and if it happens great, if not then there's next month to try again. We DTD everyday in my FW, I'm exhausted!! xx

Hi @Sammyclaire22 - I'm about 10DPO - due on period on Wednesday so we'll see what happens. I'm confident of ovulation and our timings for DTD but all depends on what side.

If you are having fertile cm I wouldn't stress too much about the opks @bmwl I found my results changed depending which brand I used. If you have a couple of months where it isn't picked up maybe try bbt? I've done it the previous 8 cycles to get a clearer idea of my pattern plus it confirms ovulation has actually happened so I can trust my body signals more now- I'm having a break from tracking this month!
Don't forget you can still get pregnant from the ectopic side- it's just less likely. Lucieandthebump on Instagram is currently pregnant with her missing tube side so plenty of hope regardless of month!

Thanks for the positivity @Sammyclaire22 - have you got a recommendation for a thermometer? I'd like to start doing my temps to help pin point ovulation.

@Sammyclaire22 I did initially stress about them, because I was never getting a dark line, but I just went on the EWCM and DTD as much as we could. I'm feeling very lethargic and moody this week but as I said not going to symptom spot (too much!)
I'll look into BBT next month if this fails!

@Springandsummer123 I just got one with high ratings from amazon- it needs to be to 2dp so you can detect small changes. It's a bit of a pain as you have to remember to do it as soon as you wake but it was reassuring to confirm if and when I ovulated. You can use it as a guide to see if you are pregnant too as afrer about 16dpo it usually drops back to base level, so of it stays high it's a good sign. Although I've always poas well before then lol.

@probably the best approach @bmwl... I sometimes forget that all the tracking etc won't actually help conception and it's dtd regularly that's the most important thing lol

How is everyone doing? I'm 3dpi but trying not to track this month and really hoping to not test until the 26th when af is due. Not sure I will have the willpower!

Hi @Sammyclaire22 - I'm just coming to the end of AF. Like I said I was really confident about the timing DTD last month so I'm hoping it's going to be the right tube this month! Started temping too and got some preseed and will up the dtd this month so hoping we'll catch it!
That will take some strength not to test! Fingers crossed this is your month - we need a BFP on this thread!

Currently waiting for AF. I had a bit of a confusing fertile week as I got two highs on my OPKS on separate days. DTD around both those days anyway but in case, so to be honest I'm not sure how many DPO I am.
AF due on Thursday so going to hold off until then to do a test. I did one 2 days ago which was negative.
I have been having really sore boobs/nipples are rock hard all the time, some mild cramping and lower back pain. Don't want to get my hopes up too soon but will keep you all posted

Hello ladies sorry I've been awol been sulking a bit. I'm currently CD 5 and hoping for a longer cycle this time. The last two cycle I've ovulated stupid early at cd9 with a 23 day cycle and on the bad 😔. Praying its the right side that ovulation happens thus cycle. Do you ladies know anything about extending the follicular phase?

@BMWL I've had that happen to me before and my doc said it was because my body tried to ovulate but couldn't manage it and then tried a second time. Apparently it's quite common

@Springandsummer123 advice with the preseed do use as much as they say (it gets abit messy if you get what I mean)

@Mumlili9 oh really!? That's interesting! I got a high on the OPK on the 28th and then a positive OPK which was undoubtedly as dark as it could get on the 3rd. Hopefully DTD both times (well actually every day throughout that fertile week) will help.
I feel quite emotional today. My friend just had a baby and I'm delighted for her but couldn't help feel that pang of sadness.
Fingers crossed for this month. By calculations I'm 7/8 DPO so I'll hold off and test at the weekend xx
