TTC after ectopic pregnancy

Mumlili9 · 25/02/2020 03:22

Hello I'm hoping to chat with other ladies ttc after ectopic pregnancy with tubal removal. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. I don't know anyone who has been through this so I've no one to talk to about this. I would love this tread to become a kind of support group where we can support each other on the scary journey of ttc.

Fingers crossed for you @Sammyclaire22 x

Hi, I haven't read the whole thread, just the OP but wanted to say I had an ectopic that ruptured back in 2004. I also had my left tube removed. It was an awful time and I was very low. The following year I had my first DS, then a miscarriage, followed by second DS. So it is possible. Hope that everything works out positively for you.

Hi I’ve lost my left tube with an ectopic pregnancy. I later became pregnant and gp sent me for an early scan to check it was all ok which was reassuring. I’d waited the recommended time after before ttc again, and was on clomid again due to fertility issues.

Happy to answer any questions, it can be a very upsetting and worrying time and nice to know if others who have been there. I doing it a great help when I found out a work colleague had been in a similar situation and we could talk about things.

Mumlili9 · 17/04/2020 19:03

Hello ladies how are you all. I'm currently cd4 so a little bit off from fw but I'm hopeful I'll ovulate on time which works out perfect for when DH is home for 4 days. I did ovulate when I thought I did as it seems my lp is still 15 days so my cycle was only 2 days shorter so maybe my periods won't have changed. I know that the gynaecology doctor said it was unlikely that I will be able to get pregnant again but I not going to give up yet.

Hope your all safe and well x

So sorry @Mumlili9 I didn't realise the Dr had said that to you. The body is an amazing thing, you never know what could happen. Good luck this month x

Sammyclaire22 · 18/04/2020 12:57

Oh @mumlili9 i didnt know that, did they say why? Not sure if it's any help at all but professor Robert Winston did a fertility webinar a month or two ago all about fertility and answered lots of questions and advice? It was really interesting as some of the women found out they could ask for different treatment or at least what additional tests to maybe have x

Ivybutterfly · 19/04/2020 09:04

I just got my period. It is early. 🙁

Sammyclaire22 · 19/04/2020 11:10

Aww sorry to hear that @ivybutterfly. Big hugs x

Ivybutterfly · 19/04/2020 12:03

Thank you. Xx

Springandsummer123 · 19/04/2020 14:15

Ah sorry @Ivybutterfly - do you think you could have ovulated a bit early too? Hopefully your cycles settle down over the next few months so it's easier to pinpoint it exactly (I'm using clear blue ov tests to help with that).
I'm coming into my peak but getting cramps both sides so no clue which side will release an egg. Anyone else been able to feel which side ovulates? Wish I could see inside!!
Hope everyone is managing to enjoy some sunshine x

Ivybutterfly · 19/04/2020 16:20

I am pretty sure I ovulated days after my periods. I need to get some of the clear blue tests. Good luck everyone. Xx

Sammyclaire22 · 19/04/2020 17:43

I used to think I could tell which side but then I read you can get referred pain so gave up guessing. Plus it made me stress out loads more for dtd when I thought it was a right sided month.

I use bbt now to track my ovulation as I found some of the lh tests seemed inaccurate (ones from amazing gave me highs all the way to my period!) I still use wilko ones but bbt means you can be sure ovulation has happened. I think I have a slowish rise though so I'm always a bit unsure of the exact day.

Had to fight the urge to use a lh test as a pg test just because I am a poas addict and have no more frer lol. No reason to think I am pg but my brain likes to wind me up

Springandsummer123 · 19/04/2020 19:05

@Sammyclaire22 are you in the TWW? Yes mind likes to play tricks doesn't it! Good luck x

Ivybutterfly · 19/04/2020 20:01

I test all of the time. Apart from now when tests are in short supply. I always think I am pregnant.

Ivybutterfly · 19/04/2020 20:01

LolSmile

Mumlili9 · 19/04/2020 20:17

Hello ladies, I'm entering fw in 2 days time and hoping for the that bfp this cycle if my body behaves

@Sammyclaire22 that's interesting about the referral pain.

@Ivybutterfly my ovulation last cycle was rediculously early at just cd9 too. I'm hoping to get back to my normal cd11 or cd12 this cycle.
Hope you ladies are well and safe.

I am glad it is not just me. I have had pain too. I have no idea what is happening with my body. Who would be a woman? Lol.

Sammyclaire22 · 20/04/2020 06:54

I'm between 9 and 11dpo @Springandsummer123 so trying very hard not to obsess.
I'm the same @ivybutterfly- my default each month seems to be assuming I am pregnant and wanting confirmation so I end up testing lots, no idea why as it's unlikely! I wish I could be one of those women who patiently waits for AF and then can be surprised if shes late.

Springandsummer123 · 20/04/2020 07:03

Hahah me too @Sammyclaire22 - or one of those women who is like 'oh wow I'm 8 weeks and didn't realise' - that will NEVER be me sadly! Wow you must be tempted to test - have you had any symptoms? Really hoping it happens for you this month. I've got my DH on a strict DTD schedule this week - he is a happy man ha x

Sammyclaire22 · 20/04/2020 14:32

I have tested Blush- a frer yesterday and a cheap one today and bfn. Metallic taste and sore boobs today but had that the last few months so not reading into it. Probably all in my head! Today is dragging...

Mumlili9 · 21/04/2020 02:29

Hi ladies, fw starts tomorrow for me, praying ovulation is on my good side and a miracle happens.
@Sammyclaire22 sorry about your bfn, its not over till AF arrives
@Springandsummer123 Fx for you this week
@Ivybutterfly how are you getting on

OP posts:
Ivybutterfly · 21/04/2020 08:28

I am praying for you too. I have my period atm. Next month will hopefully be the one. Xx

Sammyclaire22 · 21/04/2020 13:11

Good luck @mumlili9 and to all of you! Really hope we have some positive outcomes together.

Nothing new to report really- 10-12 dpo and had some slight spotting since yesterday but I've had that before. Not sure if i can see a slight shadow on my cheap test so will see what the frer say when they arrive later today. Being a moody cow and craving chocolate so I assume AF is on route!

Mumlili9 · 21/04/2020 16:24

For heavens sake I'm only Cd8 and that's a bloody positive isn't it?
