TTC after ectopic pregnancy

Hello I'm hoping to chat with other ladies ttc after ectopic pregnancy with tubal removal. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. I don't know anyone who has been through this so I've no one to talk to about this. I would love this tread to become a kind of support group where we can support each other on the scary journey of ttc.

Totally understand how you feel @Kate105, my husband keeps trying to tell me that we don’t know if these people have been on difficult journeys too but it still doesn’t stop me feeling that resentment!

Level is now 210 after 48 hours.. so went from 116 to 210. I know it hasn't exactly doubled but taking it as a good sign!
@MrsB2019x that's exactly what my husband says - you only see the announcements but you don't see the tears and struggles they could have had

They are going to take another level on Sunday and then probably Wednesday and then hopefully be able to book me for an early scan 🤞🏻 x

Did they take your progesterone levels too?

@yesitcould I'm not too sure if they did. I presume they must have but I'm not sure of the result. They seemed to just focus on the hcg level. I'm back Sunday for a repeat so hoping it goes up by then x

Just out of interest why would/should they take progesterone?

@coffeewithmilk that’s good they are keeping an eye on it.

@DoctorBambino I believe you need a good level of progesterone to support a pregnancy. When I had my first blood test the nurse noted the progesterone was low which is when I went googling.

Yes they took mine last time and it was very low so they said it didn't look good. I think it needs to be above a certain number to sustain a pregnancy

I got my BFP this morning! 😍

Now for the anxious wait until the early scan to check for ectopic. When did you call EPU to book it in? I know they won’t scan until 6 weeks but did you call and book your appt in advance?

Congratulations! I did call in advance and they told me to come a week later but you don’t need to. I hope the wait goes quickly. Xxx

Good news!!
Levels gone from 171 to 350 in 48 hours!
They're doing a repeat tomorrow and then hoping to scan on Friday. I'm almost afraid to be happy until I get the scan but it's great about the levels xx

@MrsB2019x I am 13 weeks now. I still need to pinch myself. I was bricking it until my scan. If you cannot get on in the NHS it might be worth getting a private one? My EPU is a walk in. First come first served.

I contacted my gp when I got a clear test as I wanted to be referred to a different trust from the start, but both them and private wouldn't do before 6 weeks. I managed to get them to agree to it at 5w+4 (I ruptured at 6w so would prefer to be scanned before a heartbeat)
That's good news @coffeewithmilk! Have you got a scan date at all yet?

All good my end, had my meeting with our doula yesterday, feeling like it's really on the countdown to d day now even though I'm not due until after Christmas!

I did a Tesco test the other day and had an evap line and FRER was completely blank yesterday. AF isn’t due until Friday but I think I’m out ☹️ no December miracle for me.

Thank you @Sammyclaire22, how exciting for you!! Yeah I know they won’t scan until 6 weeks and I’m okay to wait, just want to get an appointment lined up ready really. I’m going to do a digital this afternoon to confirm then probably call them tomorrow to see what their process is x
