Anyone doing the sperm meets egg plan this month?

Hi All, I'm on cycle day 11 doing the SMEP! Praying it'll work this month with preseed. Anyone else doing it this month?

@Lnix I think I would feel better if I felt that it could happen! I think I have a luteal phase problem to bleed so early. Dunno. So it's crap wasting your time trying if it's not even possible!

Its funny isn't it- you see other people trying for babies and watch them on TV. All seems like a fun part of life. How wrong we were!

@mummyT13 aw 10DPO is still early for testing so you never know. I used to be a poas addict but honestly just find the bfns too crushing. I'd rather just see the blood coming. Unless it's late in which case I'll test. Sorry about your grandad 😓 @Mysweet oh no did you have bloods or ultrasound? You poor thing. What are they doing for you? I have no idea if I actually ovulate, just going by regular periods and opk surges. Will get checked out in a few months of no joy. Hope you're ok!! @paintfairy I think quite a lot of women spot during cycles, what does your doctor say?

@Lnix I haven't even got sore BBs anymore and usually these would get worse if I was pregnant. Not better 🙄 just feeling a bit miserable about it today. Maybe I just put too much faith in SMEP and preseed this month.

@Lnix go on the pill if you don't like it! I'll go back if we don't manage it soon. Scan showed nothing so they say its 'hormonal'.

@MummyT13 I feel the same. Was praying preseed was a miracle. Lol.

@paintfairy you'd think by reading the reviews that preseed and pregnacare work for everyone else.. just not us it seems! I'm still 8 days away from AF so this just makes it longer for me. I'd love to have 28 day cycles because I spend the last few days just waiting for my AF to start x

@paintfairy No way, that's the response?? That's madness. What a ridiculous answer! Hope you're ok.

@MummyT13 symptom spotting makes the whole thing so much harder. I am pretty sure my AF is on the way as I have all the pms. But then some say they felt just like their period was coming the month they were pregnant. Who knows!

Was really hoping the preseed and smep was a winning combo for us all!!

@MummyT13 clearly there is no magic formula! It just baffles me why some people manage it instantly? As do animals? I'm old. But there are young people that have the same problem. I do wonder how much of it is down to the crap we eat or are exposed to etc.

@Lnix I know. NHS really isn't great. You just end up hoping you'll never need them! I guess if it's not meant to be then I need to accept that. I don't want it to take over my life.

@Lnix @paintfairy I think it's all just getting a bit too much TTC for so long and everything is just disappointing in the end! I've cried twice today over it. It has consumed my life now after 15 months of trying. Not sure what to do now. Think I'm gonna have to pay to privately see someone about fertility

So AF arrived overnight so I'm officially out! Onwards we go.... fingers crossed for you all x x

@3isthemagic can imagine how you're feeling. Opks and all the waiting and putting things on hold seems unsustainable!

So AF didn't arrive yesterday but I am sooo crampy this morning and overnight I am 99% sure it will appear today. I haven't got up yet so may even be here now. I am considering temping because I just can't be sure of period due date based on opk. I always get a strong positive but not sure if I ovulate the day after or 48 hours after. But I think temping would send me crazy.

How we all doing? I'm 11DPO and still BFN. Feeling like I'm gonna get AF tomorrow but not due until next week. X

@MummyT13 I'm guessing at 4dpo today, as my last positive OPK was Thursday last week. Although I have just started to have higher temperatures the past two days, at least I know I've ovulated now. Not symptom spotting yet as work has been crazy busy so a good distraction as well as planning for our holiday in two weeks time. Thinking of testing next Wednesday so hopefully 11dpo.

@MummyT13 still spotting. TMI but it was black today! Nice. Expecting AF at the weekend. But if I remember, I might poas in the morning just for fun, because its been a while. Got some cheap one steps. However- I'd happily bet £100 on the answer. 🤣

@MummyT13 still waiting for AF. It is due on or around today. My cycles are usually give or take a couple days so it is hard to predict exactly when it'll appear. I am so crampy and backachy, I feel exactly as I do before AF arrives. I haven't tested. I am scared of pregnancy tests now as I find the bfns just so crushing! I'd prefer just to get the period and skip out that heart-in-mouth few minutes after taking a pg test. Fully expect to have AF here by morning xx

@littletandme I'm 12dpo today, still got bfn so I'm out for this month. Feeling like AF is due any second with backache and AF cramps! Can't wait for AF to come so I can move on now. X

@paintfairy I think you should try testing as you never know. Might be your month! X

@MummyT13 Nope. BFN. But I knew that. 🙄 Finally got a temp reading though. 🤣 Only took 2 weeks. Bloody pointless now mind.

@MummyT13 still no AF. 🤔 Will test soon. I have had so many AF symptoms so we'll see. Thanks for asking 🙂 x

Hi guys. I got a bfp this morning. 😀 I'm in absolute shock. Felt like AF was coming, just completely the same. I know it can be hard when others in a thread get a bfp - so if any help (may or may not be connected) I did three things differently this month. Acupuncture around CD7, SMEP and the preseed. I had been using preseed for a while but this month I put it so so so high up there, as high as the applicator would go, it nearly disappeared! (Sorry tmi). I hope so much that other bfps will follow in the next few weeks. I have been so grateful of the support of everyone on this thread!! X

Advice... so I’m doing the smep plan... and using opk and soft cup. We DTD the three days before ovulation.. one day of positive ovulation and the 2 days after...then the plan says to skip a day and then DTD once more ... which should of been last night but between long shifts and living house on my day’s off we were both just too exhausted... anyone know how important it is to have DTD last night??

@2020wish, I am not an expert in SMEP but have managed to get a bfp this month with it. We did it everyone day, then day of positive opk and the day after. The penultimate day, rest day and last day - didn't do any of those...lost enthusiasm! I was worried but hopefully you'll be ok too. X
