Hi All, I'm on cycle day 11 doing the SMEP! Praying it'll work this month with preseed. Anyone else doing it this month?

3isa That sounds hugely frustrating (and is what I'm expecting from blood test results in a "nothing to see here" kind if way, I'm lucky the GP took me seriously and refered me to gynae as I wasnt expecting it tbh. She made noises about DH having a sperm assessment further down the line "I've got two kids, I'm fine!" Says he "you're going to spunk in a fucking pot if need be!" Says I

Seems a bit if a pisstake that your DH won't get involved though, especially if you can't progress unless he does, does he know you're at the end if your rope with it? I'm not big on baby dust, I'm more of a jizz and gin kind if girl, but jizz, gin, baby dust and fingers crossed for you mate

@3isthemagic They can't just refuse anyway if you've been trying a year? I went with my period spotting and managed to get a generic blood test, pelvic scan and day 2 blood test. If I have TTC issues I'll go back. Getting DH to go might be harder though.

@paintfairy I've been to the doctors twice & saw 2 different GPS & didn't find them very supportive/interested because I already have a child. I might get a kit to check my day 21 progesterone levels & then go back armed with that & my BBT charts. My temps are all over the place but I have odd beer here & there & my 4yr old sometimes wakes in the night so it could just be my temp data is unreliable?

@3isthemagic I'm struggling with sleep and reliability too. So it could be that.
I was lucky the female gp was good. But for the most part, the majority don't want to know about anything! Can you get things to home test? I did wonder about that myself.

@paintfairy yes you can get a finger prick blood test and you send it off to a lab for testing - I figured that was easier then trying to get a blood test apt to coincide with the right day of my cycle - when I had my day 3 bloods done the nurse at my doctors surgery couldn't get a vein so I had to go to the hospital the following day so they weren't done on the right day anyway!

I've seen a vague temp rise this morning, so seeing as it came 48 hours after my solid smiley on Clear blue and also taking into account DH and I simply are all sexed out... I've marked my app as a temp rise and so today is officially 1DPO. Not sure entirely how accurate that is and will only spot a pattern from tomorrow and the day after, but since we are absolutely done having sex (8 days straight thanks to flashing smileys and some early enthusiasm!) I feel I've done all I can and now I wait.... anyone else just about in the TWW I've opened a thread for us holding out to test until 29/1st March as I predict that's 10/11DPO!

I had a temp drop this morning, now the lowest I've seen (35.98), really hoping for a jump in the next few days. Grrr I hate not knowing what's going on. Will have to DTD tonight to keep up with SMEP even though we had a 3 day gap earlier in my cycle. Hoping for a positive opk tonight as last nights was disappointingly light, CD13 today.

Sperm meets egg method Lisa basically, you bang every other day your whole cycle, when you get a positive/peak OPK then you go at it for three days in the bounce, have a rest day and then one last day.

We do try every day from positive opk but aren't very good at the every other day for the rest of the time.

Why the rest day and then again? Is this in case the body tries to ovulate first time and tries again?

@Lisa127 it's just incase you have a bit of a delayed ovulation. So you may get your peak on the test but it may not actually be your peak 🤷🏻‍♀️ you see what I mean?

So much I'm 6dpo, I've been off colour since Sunday (not symptom spotting, my DS had been poorly for weeks and it's just my turn now). How is everyone doing?

9dpo today. Less symptoms than most months so far. 😂 But feels a long wait.

Hate ttw! I have cramps. 8DPO. I always get cramps though so much more likely to mean AF is coming. Sigh!

I should be ovulating today or tomorrow still, I had my darkest peak opk ever last night so that's two peak days, hoping it goes lighter today as I haven't seen a proper temp increase yet! I don't think DH can handle the third day in a row so that may be us done for SMEP 🙈 might have a night off tonight then DTD for the last time tomorrow.

@Lnix it's difficult isn't it, he is always complaining of being tired but won't go up to bed early then when you're trying to fit a lot of sex in as well it's so exhausting.

Well guys I'm 6/7 DPO today and I have to wait for 3rd of March for AF so this is gonna be the longest week 🙄 still got sore Bbs from ovulation! I'm ok. Still no spotting (good for me), sore boobs but not like usual (mine are usually like yours @MummyT13), its more at the front and happened later than usual.
However I'm freezing and I can't get warm. I have had this other days this week too. Woke up at 3.30am hot though. Usually I am hot in my luteal phase? Odd. Nipples therefore hurt even more. 🤣
