Hi, as you know I am late, i usually have my period CD28 and now on CD34, I've started this thread for others that are late so we can support eachother through this confusing time xx

@ylladyoll not sure if your message was directed to mine - forgot to mention that I took tests at what I thought was just before my period cd 28 but it could be a longer cycle this month (maybe cd 40+) and therefore way too early. As you can tell, I am still a little bit hopeful

I have a question. It's a TMI question but what does everyone notice happens to their CM when they do not fall pregnant? After ovulation, does it dry up? Does it increase just before your AF? And those who did become pregnant, did you notice a change in pattern?

From what I have ready on numerous websites your CM needs to be egg white. I've attached a photo below explaining it.

I've also been on numerous threads a few women have gone as far as 20weeks pregnant without a positive pregnancy test and bloods haven't picked up HCG levels either. Still have period though there pregnancy It's only when a scan has don is when they find out they are pregnant xx

It actually happens to a lot of women but unfortunately we're are all not in control of our bodies. We can do our best but if our body decides nope today I'm going to confuse the crap out of you to when your ovulating it will. You can be the most healthiest person but your body will do what it wants. My friend despite planning her pregnancy didn't find out she was pregnant till 12weeks and she had to pay for private ultrasound scan to be sure nothing was wrong with her ovaries. Doctors kept dismissing her and telling her it's normal. Negative pregnancy tests and no symptoms. Xx

I think that ttc is not at all straightforward it seems I need a break from it and see if my period comes back normally in March, I generally see my boyfriend once a month for a weekend due to being in a long distance relationship, we have a week planned away mid April, I'm swamped with uni deadlines, pretty much said let's miss next month, and enjoy our week away in April,truth is I just want to not worry about pregnacy ovulating or AF coming for a few weeks, i feel very selfish. We are all over eachother so no sex is very unlikely due to fancying the pants off him lol xxx anyone just feel they need a month off it??

So I'm now on the waiting game for blood results. Today is Cd70 😩😩 with no hint of af. Keeping fingers and toes crossed I ov'd super late and they ring me on Monday to tell me I'm preg!! A girl can dream...

Also Ps. Forgot how getting bloods done sometimes stings like a bitch. My pain threshold is so low, god help me if I finally get preg what I'd be like in labour 🤣🤣

My period 3 weeks late has been awful TMI super pons and a pad every hour :( headaches, gas seems to have eased off today but it was the AF from hell. Donations i whether I should not ttc as I'm over 40, miscarriage is 50/50 not sure how I would cope with that if it happened x

BFN at what is 13-15 dpo (irregular periods). I want my mind to accept it and bring on the AF. Can't do with another extremely long period and no hope. I don't know what's wrong with me, two years of TTC and not getting anywhere.

I hated being so late just finished the period from hell x I was so poorly xx

Glad to hear your awful af is over now @Ylladyoll, at least you now know where you stand. Enjoy your time away in April and things and hopefully something happens for you.

Got to ring for my results tomorrow, I'm starting to get stressed about it as I'm feeling generally sickly but scared that it's not for the reasons I want

I needed this thread today! Sorry for everyone’s belated AFs and all the headfuckery going on. Good luck to those of you hoping for positives.

After a lifetime of cycles averaging 25 days, and varying 17-28 days over the last year or two, I’m now on CD33 . We are not TTC and use condoms. I’ve had cramps for four days (not especially unusual for me before AF) and I’ve had shoulder pain for ten days or so. I freaked out a little about that but having done some reading, should tip pain is a late stage ectopic thing, not an early warning sign.

I’m assuming AF is just late (I’m 36) but I have never had a cycle longer than 30 days, ever. I did take a test yesterday evening but it was a definite BFN; in previous pregnancies I tested positive at CD21, so surely this must just be a late AF.

Complicating factor is that DH doesn’t want another DC, but I do. 🤦‍♀️

Presumably a neg at CD32 is pretty conclusive, right?

@Ylladyoll so just to update, bloodwork came back totally normal, pregnancy test negative so basically no further forward!

Really thought I could have been preg. Feeling really down now

@EnsignRoLaren there is always a chance you could be, I would say wait another week and test, if BFN wait til next period is due, retest if neg then see your doctor. Xx

Back to trying again now then, maybe a large glass of red wine 🍷🍷🍷 or 3

@Ylladyoll thank you - still no sign of AF and I have been feeling sick today - though I’ve had this with PMT before. And CM seems different than it usually does.

I have a new level of respect for people with erratic and long cycles. What a headfuck!

Tmi but with the whole cm thing.. Is it appearing or are you going up there looking for it? Because if its there in your underwear I've never had any

Ha! Katbaby, normally my CM is thick and opaque by this point (at the end of my cycle I mean) but it is still fairly wet. Enough to notice when wiping, certainly. I will admit to the occasional rummage as I sometimes get spotting or pink tinged CM before AF arrives. Nada so far.

I was taking multivitamins throughout winter but did switch to an expensive, natural, plant source vitamin early this cycle (30p a tablet!) and am now wondering if that is somehow involved.

Argh.

Ive been taking pregnacare since December, and I've read mixed reviews. Costing me a fortune as well haha.
