My doc said although I haven't had a proper period since my withdrawal bleed that could take a while til I started ovulating again, she prescribed (haha) regular sex and hopefully will catch the egg when it finally makes an appearance. Might test again this weekend as it will be cd63 at the Weekend and I have my bloods next Thursday. Cant decide whether to not bother testing though and hang on for bloods... Not sure I can wait that long. Really thought af was coming yesterday had major cramps

PMB123 · 19/02/2020 15:37

Sorry @Ylladyoll. Same here when I got my blood results from the nurse. Entirely dismissed the fact that I had gotten a faint positive, and said- nope, not pregnant, just a weird cycle. Would have been nice to at least get a sympathetic 'sorry you're likely having a very early miscarriage'...something of that sort. Anyway, worrying because now that it's passed, it wasn't a very heavy or long flow....so now I'm reading up on supplements, etc. to improve egg quality and lining. I'm sure it's not all shit, and will probably go out and purchase some to take...but not sure how long I'll try. If only I could go back 6 years and tell myself then to not worry about things and just get on with it and have another kid then. Sigh is right. Sorry for my ramblings.

Ylladyoll · 20/02/2020 16:18

2 weeks late, clear blue test BFN, I must of just missed a period this month, maybe I am in perimenipause. I'm beginning to accept that i am not pregnant and just either very late or missed a period. Could've been the vitamins, I suppose it's just now a case of getting on with my life.

Bloods back from doctors. Not pregnant, as I thought. So now I have to go back as the doctor wants to investigate other possible reasons for no af last month. Feeling really low today.

Ylladyoll · 20/02/2020 16:39

I suspect I too am not pregnant, I'm glad I didnt have to do the blood test.
I think I will just plod on, still gonna update this thread, I believe it to be useful.

Sorry @Josie465 at least they are investigating. My doctor has put down my lack of period to me going through the change xx

Thought I’d jump on,
According to my app, AF was supposed to make an appearance (still time yet I suppose), have every symptom of her coming but also some out of the ordinary symptoms too for me such as sore nipples and after 12 years, my belly button piercing has inflamed and is sore (my friend said this was one of her first symptoms of pregnancy?). Did a test this morning but negative.
Should I buy another one to do on a later date? X

Ylladyoll · 20/02/2020 16:56

I would wait a week and retest if AF doesnt come :)

Tested this morning and under torch light squinted for the tiniest line!?! Husband looked and said absolutely nothing there. Was it my tired bed time eyes looking at 6.30😩 I kept looking and driving myself crazy. Supposed to be going for a drink tomorrow with my sister and now paranoid. I know in my heart it was negative but what ifffff!!

iswhois · 21/02/2020 08:39

My AF came this morning a week late..... just why

So now even if I get a late period I can't get my hopes up

Just so fed up with it all

Ylladyoll · 21/02/2020 08:56

I am too. I'm fairly confident the pregnacare vitamins have delayed my ovulation as I'm not 15 days late, not pregnant, I stopped taking them a week and a half ago so fingers crossed that ovulation starts again. It's the only logical reason for me being late xx

OP posts:
iswhois · 21/02/2020 09:00

@Ylladyoll I was taking them this cycle too, maybe that is what has done it. So my "fertile week" was not fertile at all.
Gonna throw them in the bin, not taking anymore vitamins until (and of) I actually get a BFP.

iswhois · 21/02/2020 09:01

*and if

Ylladyoll · 21/02/2020 09:06

I'm fairly confident in that is what has happened. So I made the decision to stop taking them. I will take the vitamins once I know I'm pregnant :) keep in touch

OP posts:
iswhois · 21/02/2020 09:54

Same! Yes let's keep in touch

Ylladyoll · 23/02/2020 14:27

So CD 46 still no AF, BFN on the CD42. Gonna test on the 5th March if AF doesnt arrive

OP posts:
Ylladyoll · 24/02/2020 17:42

So CD47, I've experienced sore heavy boobs for about 5 days. Had 3 days of BDing and today when I wiped had a pink tinge to EWCM small very pink tinge nothing since, so could be that I've finally ovulated and maybe implantation? So I'm definitely hopeful either BFP or AF within next two weeks so plan to test then be good to have an answer if neither of those happen, call to doctor for advice Confused

OP posts:
PMB123 · 24/02/2020 20:18

@Ylladyoll Fingers crossed for you either way. The waiting and not knowing is the worst. Waiting on my end now to get a hint of ovulation on the way since my MC, though nothing yet. For you, the EWCM and boobs are definitely a sign of something going on!

Ylladyoll · 25/02/2020 07:56

So finally on CD48 I am getting brown spotting which looks like AF starting for me. Absolutely crazy this cycle and I know it was definitely the vitamins that has thrown this cycle off. Disappointed, yes but just glad things are working again. Smile I definitely think that the pregnacare vitamins are to blame, too much of a coincidence imho x

Can I join this thread...?

Came off the pill a year ago, gave my body a few months to settle back into things and felt that happened quite quickly. We were trying but I kind of felt I needed to give my body some time before trying properly.

We actively started trying around October time - have been tracking ovulation with the OPK sticks and look to be ovulating normally.

My periods are quite regular and if I’m honest, I feel I’m quite lucky as they don’t cause me any bother - I don’t get pain or anything.

I was due on Sunday but it hasn’t arrived. Last week - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday I had cramping, which I don’t normally experience. I couldn’t leave work on time on Thursday evening as I was struggling with the toilet - diarrhoea and was afraid to travel home without access to a loo! On Saturday I had a little bit of spotting, so assume period was coming. I’ll get a little bit a few hours before and then it just comes on. And I can feel it coming on - I thought I felt that on Saturday.

However every day since Saturday I’ve had a little bit of spotting, then nothing for several hours. I wear a liner but noticing transfers to the liner, it’s only when I wipe and it’s just light pink, like a twinge of pink.

I did a FRER last night but it was negative. I will hold off doing another one until the weekend if my period doesn’t come.

I am on CD35 today, which is slightly over my regular cycle. So already this month is very different to other months and with the spotting for days - never happened before. Don’t have any other symptoms bar the cramping and runs last week. I did think my period was coming Saturday but that feeling has gone.

Should I have tested in the morning time rather than evening time?

Ylladyoll · 25/02/2020 13:06

Welcome @hiddenfigure of course you can.
I would say that spotting could be implantation, but also could be a funny period. Generally the tests will pick up HCG in urine, in some people they dont. In my previous pregnancies I've always had high levels of HCG in my urine so when I was having BFN I knew I wasnt pregnant,I had started vitamins early jan and was fairly confident that they had delayed my period. So wait a week, if period doesnt come, take a test, if still BFN, contact and get advise from your doctor :)

@Ylladyoll Hi Hun I completely forgot to update but I got my period on cycle 47 finally. And I hope my cycles are back to normal.

Ylladyoll · 27/02/2020 13:56

I got mine on CD48 and I am having the worse heavy period I've had for ages. I'm really suffering :( no more vitamins for me until pregnant xx I'm glad it finally came tho, i was incredibly painfully bloated which is easing now xx

EasterBunny7 · 27/02/2020 15:01

Can't believe that so many of you have experienced delays in periods because of vitamins! That's a scary thought - I have had irregular periods since I stopped contraceptives and been ttc for coming up to 2 years, and blamed it on the long usage of hormonal contraceptives.

I am currently on cd 30 (two negative tests already) but sometimes I can get up to cd 40+ so hoping to test again in a few days.

I had really bad one-sided pain in my lower pelvis for several days followed by much milder pain on both sides a week later. No sore boobs, fatigue or nausea at all Sad. Is it possible that ovulation and implantation occurred? Halo

Ylladyoll · 27/02/2020 15:15

Anything is possible, generally though if your getting started white negative BFN well after period is due it's very rare its pregnancy :( it does happen that someone is pregnant but it doesnt pick it up but it's very rare but it does happen x
