@Langpants no peak for me tonight, still CB flashing smiley and IC looks similar to earlier so going to give DTD a miss tonight. Hoping I'll get a peak tomorrow! X

Morning guys me again. Worried that maybe I am not ovulating now after using these ovulation strips this month. Have had a positive with my CB digital but not with the strips. Last night's top one in picture and then it's even lower this morning. Any ideas? X

Sorry on my previous post. I thought I felt ovulation pain last night could I have just missed the surge on the strips as if that is the case quite a fast turn around since first getting a positive on the CB on Monday night. Seem to have gone into panic mode this month. I think with blood tests and everything coming up so worried that they will find something wrong 🙁

@WaitingOnThePositive, yeah really long - I think it works out to be 8 cycles a year if it stays this way, which is not ideal. I'm looking into things I can do to try and shorten it, so any suggestions ANYONE(!) welcome. I had thought that it was down to coming off the pill, however I recently found my notes from the last time I came off the pill (stayed off it for about 3 years, but wasn't trying) and my cycles averaged 42 days then, so maybe that's just how I'm made.

@Danni2019 don't panic yet!! The pink CB test only detects the beginning of a surge, the cheapie strips get darker towards your peak so just before ovulation actually happens. What CD are you? You've still got time, don't give up yet xxx

@Langpants mine looks nothing like yours, my temps are all over the place and deffo no rise after ovulation. I probably didn't ovulate this cycle

@Danni2019 I'd say you missed your peak on the strips and now you're getting negatives. It can happen so quickly!

@LV1987 out of interest how long were you on the pill for this time? And how long have you been back off it?
I blame the pill for all of my awkward cycles. I was on it non stop for about 7 years, came off it in 2015 and took a year for my periods to come back - and that was with medication to help me along! Mine go anything from 28 days to 40 now and there's zero pattern to them! I haven't actually been on the pill since, DS was born in 2017 and I swore I'd take nothing else until I was done procreating! Xx

@Langpants although glow is putting ovulation CD13, the day before premom and premom originally said CD13 but I didn't believe the OPKs at all so I change them. Femometer also says CD14. I've heard you don't get your spike though on the day of ovulation and why isn't it going up/staying up? I also had a few drinks on CD12 evening so maybe that's why my temp is high that day?

@Mumofboys17 I know I'm answering this and it's not for me but which pill were you on? Just because I was son combined pill for like 9 years and periods came back bang on 28 days immediately. As soon as I went on progesterone only implant I've never been the same again since

@Beau20 and @Mumofboys17 thanks for your replies. I'm on CD13 today and I usually get positive on CB digital ovulation CD12 so around the same time this time. I think I may have just missed it on the strips this time. I think I have a quick turnaround so I guess that is why the digital is a little better so you don't miss it. Wish I never used the strips this month as it has just got me all worries but never mind. Think I started ovulating last night so going with that. Have it covered with DTD over last couple of days and we will try tonight again and hope all goes well. Good luck to you guys too x

@Mumofboys17 the first time, I was on it for about 6 or 7 years, from when I was 17. This stint, I think I had been on it for about 5 years and I've been off it for nearly 4 months now. I turn 33 tomorrow, so there's the added worry if I'm only getting 8 cycles a year of how many I am actually going to get before it's all over. I hate birthdays 😂

@LV1987 I know this isn't necessarily helpful lol but after I'd been on the pill for ages without a break, it was only then I was told you should have a break from it every now and then otherwise it can mess with your hormone balance 😨 wish I'd been told that before!!! I know some people can generally just have longer cycles but I do feel a bit cheated! X

@Beau20 I really can't remember, I was on a few different ones as some didn't agree with me and others became 'too expensive' so the dr changed them. I remember the names Yazmin and Microgynon though 😂 xx

@Mumofboys17 yeah I was on mycrogynon too. They are both combined pills. It's weird, I have zero issues coming off the pill, like none. Implant - fucked my life right up!!! I was never everrrr told to have a break from contraception, ever. In fact it was discouraged - "ohhh your fertiltiy will come back immediately no issues it wont damage a thing" PAHH YEEEAH!

I had one break in 12 years (that was after my 9th year and mix of being on pill, coil and implant) and conceived on 3rd cycle not even trying. Then I had 2 years back on pill and then a year of implant. Now nothing. Grrrrrrrrrrr to contraception!!

Contraception sucks balls!!!

@Mumofboys17 I'm a very patient person, so I can wait it out... It's the lack of control I can't deal with!

@LV1987 LITERALLY sucks balls because there aint much point doing owt else with the balls at this rate!

I’ve just been for my scan, it was such a wriggler, sucking it’s thumb, drinking etc. We managed to get 4 photos but thought I’d show you guys this one as it was waving 😂

Nothing to report with me yet, hoping to ovulate any day now so getting plenty of DTD in when we can 😬 didn't really want a December baby but I'll just take anything now!!

I thought it looked girly but dp keeps saying he and did at the scan (he wants a boy)

@Beau2020x at Christmas I was thinking I was out as I hadn’t done the deed on time etc! I had been trying 6 months and honestly was starting to worry but it goes to show it works out when it’s meant to! ❤️ I don’t use this as much now as joined a Facebook group but obviously it will never be the same as this group and the bond I have! Xxx

@Beau20 I would have said ovulation between a CD12/13 too. Did you DTD in case? Mine was all over the place last month too. It's so pants. If this month isn't the month, perhaps you'll have a clearer one next month. X
