Welcome to the 🐧 huddle. This a safe place to give and receive support for everyone who has experienced the loss(es) of a pregnancy or baby. Pregnancy and child loss is one of the most difficult things we can experience and it can also be the most lonely time too. I hope you find this thread to be of some comfort.

I have found so much comfort from the lovely ladies on this thread and I’m hoping for lots of BFPs in 2020!

Thanks @Rumi1 I know women do have children later but I’m just anxious about it at the moment. No one knows what the future holds though and I’m trying to be positive and be grateful for all that I do have xxx

VenusStarr · 26/04/2020 11:01

Morning everyone.

I'm sorry I had to step away from the thread. I've had a really difficult few weeks and struggling to accept not having any control. I'm still not great and I've had many tears, dh and I had an argument last week where it all came to a head. We made up the next day but it just highlighted how consumed I am.

Been focusing on getting our garden in a better state and that's helping. I'm going to start a little herb garden and dig out some proper borders. It's keeping me distracted and hopeful.

We've agreed to not prevent and not try and already that makes me feel less anxious.

I hope everyone is well. I'm sorry there's some new faces here too ❤️

BunnytheHoneyBee · 26/04/2020 11:24

@VenusStarr I’m sorry you’re having a tough time. I feel a bit like giving up so I get that. I hope not trying but not not trying helps you feel better about it all.

DH has been out in the garden everyday for weeks and is loving it! Many people find it therapeutic and it’s nice to just be outside and do something productive.

VenusStarr · 26/04/2020 12:06

Thanks @BunnytheHoneyBee. I've felt really hopeless the last few weeks.

Agree with doing practical things. Dh has been working hard and I was able to sit outside, read and paint my nails yesterday.

I think just knowing we could be in with a chance by just dtd whenever and without protection has helped my mindset. Dh is petrified of me getting pregnant and getting covid or getting pregnant and miscarrying. I'm more in the second but the fear of miscarriage isn't as great as the fear of never being pregnant again or never having a baby.

BunnytheHoneyBee · 26/04/2020 12:53

@VenusStarr Sounds like my day yesterday! DH was gardening and I sat out reading my book 📖 (double similar now actually). I feel like the fear of never having a living child overtakes everything else overtakes everything else. I know covid would add to the anxiety if do get pregnant but I’m willing to take the risk at the moment. I’d probably just try to completely shield myself if I were to hey pregnant during the pandemic.

Hi ladies,

How is everyone's weekend going? I'm just catching up on the thread. AF finished yesterday and today is CD (cycle day) 8 for me so today is the day we start trying! I'll be following the SMEP as that worked the first month we tried it which sadly ended with a molar pregnancy/miscarriage. My periods have been a bit whacky since. My cycles were always bang on 28 days before but have varied from 28-33 recently so I'm expecting ovulation anytime between the 2nd and 9th of May.

Where is everyone else in their cycle? Hope you're all well and feeling positive! Xxx

turquoisebaby · 26/04/2020 22:31

Evening ladies,

I'm confused and not sure if this is normal. Basically this week I've been spotting (cd 13 - today cd17), todays was heavier and almost like AF. My last miscarriage was Dec'19. I'm 100% not pregnant and I don't ovulate until cd21-23 of a 29 day cycle. Should I be concerned?

Mumlili9 · 26/04/2020 22:56

@turquoisebaby do you track ovulation by opk and /or bbt. A 7 day luteal phase doesn't give you much time for implantation I assume you take progesterone. You can spot around ovulation. This might just be a one off strange blip. Our bodies do some very funny things at times.
@VenusStarr hello lovely sorry you've had a heard time. I can totally relate to the way your feeling. My body is out of my control and that's so hard to deal with if your a control freak.

Well I'm 4 dpo and having some horrible pain in the side I lost my tube it totally freaking me out right now and what's even worse is knowing there no doctor that can help unless I go to a hospital which right now is the very last place I want to go. I'll just have to wait it out I guess.

turquoisebaby · 27/04/2020 13:51

@mumlili9 I don't take anything, I was on the brink of going to see a Dr about my luteal phase when covid arrived. I use clearblue digitals and cheapy ovulation tests also for ovulation. I'd like to try the temping but have no idea how it works. My clearblue and cheapys both say I am not ovulating.

Mumlili9 · 27/04/2020 14:18

@turquoisebaby try fertility friend app it has a tutorial section that explains everything with pictures. I live this app it's the best one I've found

turquoisebaby · 27/04/2020 15:09

Thank you I'll have a look!

BunnytheHoneyBee · 27/04/2020 17:20

Hi everyone

Hope you’re ok @turquoisebaby and @Mumlili9

I’m sure we’ve discussed this before but what do you take in terms of supplements? I’ve just been taking high dose folic acid and I take pregnancy vitamins (as they’re cheaper than prenatal) as and when. I sometimes take Berocca which is not for pregnancy / conception but just mental health.

Now I feel like time is getting on since my second pregnancy and I feel like I could be doing more.

Mumlili9 · 27/04/2020 17:39

@BunnytheHoneyBee hi I'm kind of a freak about it when it comes to supplements

Cd1 until ovulation I take :
Pregnacare preconception
Asprin 75mg
Folate 400μg
Ubiquinol 500mg
Vitamins 25 μg
1000 mg omega 3 with 300mg of active EPA/DHA
Evening primrose oil 1000 mg
Vitamins E 4000 I. U

After ovulation I only take:
The multi vitamin,
Folate
Asprin
Vitamins E and D
Omega 3
Ubiquinol

If I get a bfp ill stop the vitamin E and ubiquinol as they are bad for pregnancy.

See I'm a freak. I've gradually add things with each miscarriage. It probably doesn't help because I still mc every time but this way I feel I'm doing something

BunnytheHoneyBee · 27/04/2020 18:18

@Mumlili9 Thank you and stop saying you’re a freak. It’s good that you are working to give your self the best chance. Do you know much about COQ10? I’ve read that can help egg quality.

I might just get a conception vitamin again. I started taking the pregnancy ones as someone on here suggested it as being cheaper but similar but I’ve got a bit lazy and I’m only taking the folic acid and vitamin d except when I have Berocca some days.I need a new prescription for the high does folic acid too. The reality is the cost of a vitamin is a small price to pay given what we are working towards.

Mumlili9 · 27/04/2020 18:29

@BunnytheHoneyBee ubiquinol is the active bioidentical form of Co Q10 but is alot more expensive also you don't need as high a dose as coq10. You need at least 600mg of CoQ10 but only 400μg of ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is easier for the body to put to use (good for egg quality) than CoQ10. Your liver has to convert CoQ10 into ubiquinol before your body can use it and you lose some of its good stuff during the conversion. The same as folic acid and folate. Folate is better and doesn't build up in your system like folic acid does. Vitamin E helps to condition your uterine lining ready for implantation and asprin helps against clots. Omega 3 helps babies development but also helps to lower inflammation in your body adding hormone balance.
Or its all bull crap and none of it works lol

Mumlili9 · 27/04/2020 18:36

@BunnytheHoneyBee Q10/ubiquinol boosts the mitochondrial power of the cells in the whole body, it helps to repair damage to cells. The egg is the biggest cell in the body and requires a lot of energy when it's growing and maturing, also after fertilisation while the cells are dividing and growing before implantation. The whole process requires energy and plenty of water. The cleaner your diet the better your eggs. I also do not drink ever and no caffeine either.

BunnytheHoneyBee · 27/04/2020 19:04

@Mumlili9 Thank you for all that. You have convinced me I need it all 😂 I do drink but very rarely like probably not even once a month and then it’s one or two drinks. I don’t really drink caffeine either as I don’t like tea or coffee but I do occasionally drink coke (again haven’t had one for at least a month though). I eat fairly well but eat chocolate every day and I’m trying to drink more water. You’re doing great.

Mumlili9 · 27/04/2020 20:29

@BunnytheHoneyBee aww thank hun shame I haven't got my rainbow baby yet though. Even though the consultant has said that it is unlikely that I'll be able to carry or get pregnant, I'm not giving up. I'll stand on my head a snort peas it'll work lol

BunnytheHoneyBee · 27/04/2020 20:34

@Mumlili9 Keep doing what you’re doing. Definitely dont give up 💕

turquoisebaby · 28/04/2020 19:25

@mumlili9 thats an impressive list! I only take a few basic ones. Never give up hope, nothing is impossible

Kangaroo77 · 28/04/2020 20:02

Hello all,

Joining this thread for support. Terminated my 3rd baby (16 weeks) for T9 last month 😔.

Just finishing my first cycle after TFMR bleed and have recovered well so far. It's my second surgical termination for medical reasons so weirdly it wasn't as debilitating as the first one.

Looking to start trying again soon. Eager to read positive rainbow baby stories. I'm 42 and hoping for a healthy pregnancy this year. It will be my partners 1st baby. Xxxx

Mumlili9 · 28/04/2020 22:01

@Kangaroo77 welcome. I'm so sorry I can't imagine how you feel. I hope you find some comfort here with us x

Kangaroo77 · 29/04/2020 10:49

Thanks @Mumlili9 for the welcome. I hope we all have happy stories on this thread. We need some good news!

I'm half excited and half terrified. I've convinced myself I've got 'bad eggs' and because I seem to hang on to unhealthily pregnancies,

I'm scared of falling again, but obviously want to. It's like pregnancy roulette. How do I know the next egg will be fine? It's scary as I'm so healthy these days (despite my age 🤣). I don't drink, smoke and am fit and well. After giving up drinking a year ago I'm the healthiest I've ever been, still, I had a bad egg and another one before resulting in operations. Ugh. Hard isn't it, the worry. Sending love xxx

clitterratti · 29/04/2020 11:29

welcome @Kangaroo77 sorry you are here, welcome.

clitterratti · 29/04/2020 11:31

My AF is missing and all the pg tests are streaked with BFNs.

My face is full of pimples and I've gained a kg. The whole universe is against me.
