Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia!

I've cracked after only 3 days and ordered some OPKs lol, hate not knowing when I will ovulate (if at all!) this cycle since my app is using my cycles from being on the implant. At least if I can confirm ovulation then we'll have a better chance next cycle if we totally mess up the timing this time.

In a far TMI post I've had a weird day.....
Yesterday I had a bit of spotting/brown discharge when I went for a run, enough to mark my leggings through a pantyliner 🙈
Today I thought I'd better use a cup.
And it's basically full of slightly bloody egg white! WTF!? 🙈
I give up, hopefully this is post coil crazy and will settle

@littletandme no idea what my cycles are like sadly. My period this month has been my first one for many years.

Is it usually like straight after your period it's something I know like nothing about 🙈

@Elmlee if you had a "typical" 28 day cycle then you'd get AF on CD1 then ovulate on CD14.

The only two cycles I've had before now we're after coming off the pill, first month I ovulated on CD17 and had a 31 day cycle then the next month I ovulated on CD11 and got pregnant with DC1 🤷🏻‍♀️ if I hadn't been using OPKs we could have totally missed that egg, although we were DTD every other day.

@littletandme when do you start tracking your ovulation? Like right after Flo?
When's best to test? I struggle working all day... I usually have the best wee like early hours about 2 hours before my alarm 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi can I join? I nearly drove myself mad last month convinced myself I was pregnant with all the symptoms under the sun. Amazing what your brain can try and convince you when it's something you really want. Anyway wasn't to be but now only on cycle 2 so can't complain just had my hopes up!! Good luck to everybody here. Currently cd 3. I'm 37 and trying for #2

@elmlee yeah I'd say around CD8 at the latest. If you don't want to do OPKs you could always track body temperature but that only confirms ovulation after it's happened.

@professorastrocat she's 2.5 :) only just about convinced DH to try again but he's still very anxious about coping with two!

@Elmlee They say test twice a day. Best after not drinking too much too, so its not too diluted. I was doing 10.30am ish and 5pm ish. But any time is ok. Not first thing in a morning though, that's not the best time. I started on CD 8. Peak was day 10 for me.

@paintfairy that's interesting... I'll have to try in the evening soon as I'm home from work. Think I may of missed it this month.. didn't start testing until CD10 and my test I think was low but I don't think I was reading my test results right as I was going back to them later for results and I have been told you have to read within 3-5 mins xx

From my few attempts at TTC , this is what I’ve found helpful. Cb digital OPKs to pinpoint roughly when you ovulate , thereafter I used Clue app to note down when I got a static smiley on CB digital so now Clue is pretty smart and calculates my OV days quite well! I’m still using the CBs as I have so many left over 🙈 But I would trust Clue even without them as it’s worked out the pattern now. And I believe when to test with OPK depends on your cycle ofcourse but the website tells you when to start if you plug in your cycle length etc

So got my flashing smiley today! CD14 - DTD yesterday - on holiday so hoping to DTD everyday for the next few days as I OV-ed day 17 last month !

How are we all? Does anyone ever get ovulation pain?? Just wondering if its common or not. Had a few mild but noticeable left side pains this morning but not sure what it could have been other than ov or my pcos... app has me due to ov on wed though 🤔

@Hatepickinganame I’ve heard it’s not common but the day after I got my static smiley last month, I did have weird cramps on one side...could be nothing but I’ve never noticed it before

@Hatepickinganame I get very definite ov pains, always on the right side, almost every cycle.

AF always comes 2 weeks later so pretty sure that's what it is. It kind of feels like a stitch but lower if that makes sense.

@Hatepickinganame I get ovulation cramps every month, always the day after my static smiley. I’m pretty sure I only noticed it when I started TTC!

I get pains too. Some months its worse than others oddly? Mine are usually on the right as well.

It was very similar to the af cramps i get now, they seem to start in my left side but it was nowhere near as strong and only lasted a minute or two... maybe im putting two and two together cause my app is saying im due to ovulate soon lol who knows 😂😂

This is a well timed discussion. I always get terrrrrrible OV pain, to the point where I need two days off work or to dose up on some strong painkillers I’ve been prescribed. I don’t use OV kits because it’s so clear to me when it’s happening.
BUT for the first time ever I am having zero pain! It’s lovely but I’m also in a total muddle as I think I may have missed the boat this month. Not sure really, feel like I’m already out.

@2020wisher that makes two of us! Its an odd one, this is only really my second proper cycle since having the coil out so ive no idea when certain things actually happen. Im cd 10, is it too early to be ov?? I mean if the pain this morning was actually ov then we're good, if its when my app predicts then im not so sure as not seeing much of him this week due to work! Will still be keeping my fingers crossed lol im absolutely determined not to symptom spot or test though!

Hello, I'd like to join please! TTC baby #1 and I'm 38. OH is 36. Came off cerazette on 13 December 2019 and had no bleed since. Was using CB OPK and had 8 days of flashing smileys then it broke! :-( bought another and had nothing for a week, 5 days of flashing smileys and this morning, finally, the elusive static smiley face :-D

Have been DTD pretty regular up to now but will deffo DTD tonight and tomorrow then I guess I'll be in the TWW.

Funny, when I first started reading these types of threads I had no idea what DTD, OPK, EWCM, TWW meant - now I feel like a pro haha.

I'm hoping CB OPK is accurate - had EWCM over the past week and boobs have been killing me for past 3/4 days. Mood swings galore as well (poor OH).

Anywho, it's reassuring to read all you ladies posts and lets see how we all go.

Hi ladies, I'm going to jump on this thread if that's ok! I'm 30 (although 31 is looming) TTC baby number 1 and Feb will be cycle 2.

I came off the pill in October - had a bleed in November and December but they were only 3 days.

I am due on today and have just intense cramps this last week. Not pregnant as I have done 2 test but my DH and I wonder if this is the first 'proper' period since coming off.

I wonder if I hadn't ovulated the last 2 months.

Obviously takes a while to get back to normal!

Fingers crossed Feb is the month however I am going on a work trip for a week!
