Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

@clolo im just going by my apps predictions, so due to ov around 23rd jan, af due around 6th feb. It was pretty accurate for my last cycle so gonna stick with it! This month im refusing to symptom spot, ive logged all my pms on the app so i know whats now normal for me during my cycle. Nausea is a new one but had it both cycles since coming off coil and it starts around the same cycle day! Im also not going to test unless af is late.... (she says, optimistically, before the 2ww kicks in and she loses all willpower again 😂)

@Diamond94 ooh anywhere nice? Will keep everything crossed for you then!

@clolo this is only my second cycle from having coil removed... day 2 and im already impatient for af to stop 😂 forgot how much fun this was every month!!

Hogwarts2020 · 12/01/2020 15:44

Hi!! Can I join please? This is my first cycle TTC. I am 36 and my DH is 39. :-) I have been using the Flo app to track my cycles and so far it has been pretty accurate .

LBB2020 · 12/01/2020 15:55

Can I join too? We’re Ttc #2
AF is due next week so we’ll be starting ttc after that, I’m excited and a little scared!
Conceived first cycle with DC1 so I know I’m going to worry if it doesn’t happen straight away this time (even though I know it’s unlikely to happen so fast again)

Hatepickinganame · 12/01/2020 16:32

@Hogwarts2020 ive been using flo too. Considering i had no idea on my cycles it originally predicted af to within a day! Then i just updated cycle length to 26 days and hopefully it will be bang on now 😊

@LBB2020 ive never had an issue falling pregnant either, i did honestly think it might happen first time but nope. This will be number 4 for me so did get my hopes up a little.... fingers still firmly crossed for feb 😊

LBB2020 · 12/01/2020 16:41

We've not used any form of contraception since before DC1 and my cycles settled down pretty quickly once they came back. I use the Ovia app to track them which always seems pretty accurate. Fingers crossed this is our month!

LBB2020 · 12/01/2020 16:55

Reread my post, we’ve use no hormonal contraception since before DC1!

notetaker · 14/01/2020 09:03

Morning everyone, just checking in!
How are we all doing? I'm feeling quite relaxed so far this month, CD9 and I've not even thought about reaching for the OPKs yet! Though things could definitely change...

Hatepickinganame · 14/01/2020 09:56

@notetaker all good here thanks, cd4 and impatient for af to bugger off now 😂feeling a lot more relaxed this month, think last month i was so stressed cause i had no idea if everything was still working properly but now i know im quite optimistic 😊 see if i stay as calm during the tww!!

How is everyone else? X

hannah17381 · 14/01/2020 13:57

Hello.
Can I join?
Might be a bit keen as I'm only getting coil out on Thursday so I doubt I'll be seeing a BFP for a while yet!
I'm 38, pushing 39. My OH is 46.
He has a daughter but I've got no children.
I was married before and spent 3 years TTC about 10 years ago so a bit nervous about how this will go. But i do know that the issue was previous husband.
Bit worried about age. Bit worried how long body will take to settle post coil. And a bit worried ow TTC crazy I might go 🙈

Hatepickinganame · 14/01/2020 14:24

@hannah17381 i had my coil removed in november, it didnt take long to settle down ive just had my first 'normal' period after a very light one in dec which put me at a pretty normal 26 day cycle. I dont think feb will be my month with the shifts me and oh are working but we'll give it a shot lol

hannah17381 · 14/01/2020 14:29

@Hatepickinganame thanks! Was yours a mirena coil? I've not had any periods on it for the last couple of years so a bit worried. Also not looking forward to having them again!
Hopefully shift patterns with your OH allow some time together! X

Hatepickinganame · 14/01/2020 14:33

@hannah17381 yep, mirena. Had it for over three years and barely had periods. I had a light 4 day withdrawal bleed that started the day after. Also no idea if its related to the coil but the day i had it removed i was an absolute wreck, had quite bad stomach ache and was just crying for no reason 🤣 oh was a little bemused to say the least. Then my first period was more like spotting but crazy painful. This one has been pretty normal, im on day 4 and its showing signs of stopping. I know everyone is different nut luckily for me it's all seeming to settle down pretty quick 😊

hannah17381 · 14/01/2020 14:36

@Hatepickinganame fingers crossed to settling down quickly then!
I'll let you know if I'm emo on Thursday! Hopefully not, my office mates might be bemused if I am Confused

Hatepickinganame · 14/01/2020 15:16

Haha @hannah17381 yeah definitely let me know if it was just me being a crazy emotional wreck 🤣 its kind of interesting when i hear other stories from people about how everyone reacts differently to it x

2020wisher · 14/01/2020 19:33

Hi everyone, I’m joining the club Smile

I’m 31 and husband is 32, first cycle trying to conceive our first baby. Super excited but also super chilled as we know it can take some time! Never been on any hormonal contraception so that will possibly help me out. Last month we had an unplanned chemical pregnancy that was such a welcome (and sad) surprise that we decided to go for it!

CD9 for me today like @notetaker ...I’m totally full of cold so all I feel like doing is sleep. Hopefully I’ll feel perkier in a couple of days! Wink

Hatepickinganame · 14/01/2020 21:27

@2020wisher sorry to hear of your chemical pregnancy, and fingers crossed for this month for you! I just cant wait to get back to dtd, i read some posts on here and it makes me kinda sad to think in a few months dtd might feel like a chore so i really want to keep myself relaxed (oh is super chilled about everything lol but i can get a little obsessive!)

2020wisher · 15/01/2020 08:20

Thanks @hatepickinganame I totally agree with you there, I definitely have it in me to be obsessive! I’m trying to be relaxed by booking massages and haircuts to keep me occupied and chilled! Also been creating a shopping list of baby stuff which I’ve enjoyed way too much.

CD10 today, getting close!

Hatepickinganame · 15/01/2020 10:02

Cd5 today... taking my eldest for a day out in london to see Wicked. I will not obsess, i will not obsess... (chanted to myself repeatedly in a very obsessive kind of way 😂) according to my app im fertile from like sunday and me and oh have no plans other than staying in bed all day haha!

Lola871 · 15/01/2020 10:23

Just checking in! I'm CD6 today, ordered some OPKs which I've never used before as my cycle can vary a bit and when we were casually trying before (not tracking) I looked back and we very rarely managed to DTD at the right time as my cycle fluctuated.

Figure I'll use them for a couple of cycles and see how I get on. Does anyone use them? When in the cycle should I start? And a positive means you're due to ovulate in the next day or so, is that right? Thanks!

Sausage1990 · 15/01/2020 10:27

Hi ladies - can I join too?
This will be our 2nd month TTC #1, I'm 29 (soon to be 30) and my OH is 31.

We had a chemical last month which I was sad about but hopefully this month we'll be lucky and get a sticky bean.... Although our window is short this month as DH is working away alot. We do have 1 weekend that happily falls on my estimated peak fertile window so 🤞🏻its enough.

It's great to hear from some who've been trying for a few cycles - sorry to hear its taking a little while to conceive but reassuring to see that theyre able to relax a bit more around the tww etc... I'm going to try to avoid testing this month unless af is a week late because my chemical was 1 week after af was due.
Xx

2020wisher · 15/01/2020 11:14

@sausage1990 same here, I tested early last month hence why I knew it was a chemical and it was very upsetting. I’m not testing till 11th Feb which will make me a week late. Only 4 weeks to wait ha!

hannah17381 · 16/01/2020 15:44

@Hatepickinganame it's out!
And I've just welled up a bit for no apparent reason!
Wondering if it's just the reality..... Hopefully it's hormones working their back to full production magic!
I had such a nightmare time TTC before, and with no success, I'm so nervous of the emotional rollercoaster again
