Anyone testing just before Christmas?

Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

Im etc my first. I'm 3 days past my period being due. My periods have been irregular since coming off the pill but I'm reluctant to test as I don't want to dampen my Christmas!

Haven't got any major symptoms apart from slight headache and a little cramping but not sure if that's just my expected period.
Anyone in the same position?

According to my app my af is due Xmas eve, but it was 4 days early last month so who knows what will happen. But I've convinced myself that it's on its way and it's not going to be my month. Weirdly, since I've convinced myself of that the TWW has seemed to go quicker. Another thing that's spend it up is me having a cold and my OH having D&V for the last 24hrs.

@h19olly how long have you been off the pill? Did you track ovulation? I get why you don't want to test if you're not sure of dates. It can set you on a vicious and be upsetting x

@Spark27 I've been off the pill since Jan! use the glow @Spark27 I stopped the pill in January! Took a few months and my periods came back regular but over the past 2/3 months I’ve been 2-3 days late, early and even 2 weeks late. I use the glow app to track ov but just bought some ov strips to try track things a bit more.

@Spark27 @h19olly and others, of course, hope you get your BFPs!! And fingers crossed for everyone next month. I’m still in 2ww, 12DPO and probably going to test on Christmas Eve - expecting my period on Christmas Day. I don’t think I’ve had usual PMS symptoms this month - sore boobs about a week ago til now and they feel bigger, had back ache on and off, some cramping, slight nausea but nothing too much. Looking forward to knowing one way or another for Christmas although I’ll still take it steady on the alcohol even with a BFN as building the illusion that I’m going off it for health reasons...!

Well this month is the first month I thought we'd missed my fertile window but I'm 13 DPO and got BFP this morning!! I'm scared of getting excited incase it doesn't stick and still in shock!

Congratulations @xSLPx that's amazing news. I was the same with my first. Had no expectations and then, bamm, I was pregnant. So exciting.

Thanks @BoughsOfHolly. Yeah I'm due AF on Christmas Day and decided to test this morning as we're having my OH family over for Christmas dinner and I wanted to know whether to expect AF or not otherwise I'd spend all day thinking about it and if I got a BFN then I could just accept it and not be too upset when it arrives. I am really excited but I don't want to get my hopes up too much until I've actually missed AF.

@xSLPx congratulations on the BFP! It’s gonna be so hard to keep it a secret or are you going to tell them? Had you tested before today or was today your first test?

Thanks @everpessimistic. We don't plan on telling then until nearer 12 weeks, I'd like to wait until we've had the first scan but not sure if we'll be able to keep it a secret for that long but we'll try. Christmas period is going to be the hardest as it's not like me to pass up a glass of wine!
This was my first test this month, I've been trying really hard not to test early and if it had been any other month I wouldn't have tested early this time either.

I'm testing tomorrow, which will be 11DPO - based on previous cycles I'm due AF either tomorrow or Christmas day. Feeling so nervous, worried I won't cope well if it's disappointing news...but will try really hard not to let it ruin my Christmas. Congratulations @xSLPx!! So exciting! Isn't it so funny that it can hit when one least expects :)
I just got through my period "due date" which was today so feeling happy about that! Aside from a bit of anxiety about whether yoga us ok I'm feeling good. Haven't really had symptoms yet except sore boobs and more hungry and tired.
Will definitely look into getting an early scan... does anyone have a clinic they recommend in London or Milton Keynes? X

congrats to everyone who got their bfp!! deffo think i got my ovulation dates wrong the first time and judging by ovulation pain and cm think i ovulated around the 15th although had the pain until 17th. took a test today and could swear i could see the faintest of faint line lol when i checked again after half hour was deffo a line but that had not been there after about ten mins so not counting that. will test again xmas morning so fingers crossed

I'm out this month. AF has just showed up. Least it means my cycle was more predictable this month. And it was only my first month TTC so I'm not surprised it didn't happen. I'm going to enjoy the holidays and get back on it in the new year.

I got a BFP this morning - OH is in shock but had a very strong feeling the last few days based on my symptoms. Just crossing everything that it will go smoothly now!

I think I'm out this month. My temps are dropping and AF feels imminent. I'm 11 dpo, been spotting since yesterday, which happens every cycle. I had my hopes up as I was having some crazy dreams, insomnia and mega night sweats. A bit of nausea too. But feels like games over looking at my chart

Such great news @BoughsOfHolly, so happy for you ! When you posted about your symptoms I thought as much but didn't say anything as didn't want to put my foot in it :) similar to my symptoms before BFP, mild but definitely there.

So sorry @Spark27 and @Ziggystarduck. I hope you can enjoy Xmas and restart the process feeling refreshed in January. Fingers crossed for you! X
