Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

Wow so much has happened on here since I last posted :) HUGE congratulations @TunnocksTcake, @Mystie , @Peanutty86 and @debbs77 - I really hope the lines keep getting stronger and stronger! Can I check what days dpo you got your BFP? Did any of you have implantation cramping or bleeding??

I'm really not sure if this month is it for me... it's first month TTC so would be incredibly lucky if it happened so soon anyway. I've not really had any obvious symptoms apart from normal PMS and this horrible cold. But I'm thinking of testing tomorrow, 10dpo - what do you think? Should I do it? Or wait till 11/12dpo....

Peanutty86 · 18/12/2019 11:28

@IslayBrigid I think I'm 9dpo... with my first I got a vvf line 10dpo. No symptoms this time, last time I had lots of cramping from 6dpo. I had the tiniest bit of cramping a couple of nights ago but dismissed it as nothing, I really thought our timing was completely off. It's our first month TTC #2, (#1 was first month too...). Husband will be disappointed as he was looking forward to lots of sex 😂

LizzieLottie88 · 18/12/2019 11:33

@Mystie and @Peanutty86 I can see both your lines hurraaaaay! Let's hope you sprinkle your baby dust all around 😂
I haven't ever used a first response, they never have them in the shops I go to! Do you think they're better for early testing? I'm goin to try and out it out my mind this week, test on Christmas eve and enjoy some drinks if not! Xxx

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 11:33

@Peanutty86 hilarious haha. I think my OH will also be pretty surprised if it happens first time round; partly why we started in Dec was because of the idea that it can take a while, which of course it can. I guess time will tell! I've had a few very small twinges in what could be my womb but could also be my digestive tract and I've tried to dismiss as nothing coz it's not been obvious. I've also noticed sliiiiightly heightened sense of smell and I had some olives and cheese last night and they tasted REALLY odd. But again, it could all just be in my head! Think I will test tomorrow now haha. But I bet that even if I am pregnant it won't implant till like day 12 so I won't get a positive... who knows. Shall see.

Peanutty86 · 18/12/2019 11:35

@LizzieLottie88 I've never seen them in shops either, but I would say that from all the tests that I've done, FRER were the best for early testing.
@IslayBrigid 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

ArjaD · 18/12/2019 11:42

Hi all, I'm due to test on Sunday. Couldn't help myself though and had a bfn this morning at 10dpo. Trying not to lose hope but body is cramping like af is coming.

Mystie · 18/12/2019 11:44

@LizzieLottie88 they are really difficult to find, I think because they're an American brand? Although Amazon are doing 2 for £5.99 next day delivery so worth stocking up!

Mystie · 18/12/2019 11:47

@IslayBrigid I try and wait til 10dpo at least although I'm usually poas at 8dpo 🤣 I think the fact you have a cold is really good sign as pg hormones can cause you to be congested. I didn't have any cramping or bleeding but did have quite a significant drop in temperature at 8dpo which I suppose could've been implantation

Let us know how you get on with testing and get a frer if you can! Baby dust 💫

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 12:03

Thank you @Peanutty86 and @Mystie! :)
I just did a quick trip to the ladies loo at work to check my cervix, just as you do haha... well it was actually to check my CM. But I found my cervix to be way lower than I've ever felt it ... got a bit of a shock! I really don't know what this means. I read that it stays high if pregnant but I also read that it can drop down before you have PG confirmed then go back up afterwards... anyway have never felt it so low so maybe it is a good sign? Or maybe it just means AF is coming. I don't make a habit of testing it but I did test it a few months ago as was buying a menstrual cup so needed to see how high it was to choose the right one. Then last few days when I test CM it's felt very high. Another body mystery!! CM is still creamy and wet but not heaps of it.
Any of you guys had cervix changes? haha

Peanutty86 · 18/12/2019 12:09

@IslayBrigid I've not checked my cervix this time. Tbh, mine is soooo low since I have birth, I wouldn't know what is high or low these days... the joys of childbirth 😂

Ziggystarduck · 18/12/2019 12:27

Lol all this talk of frers being 2 for £5.99, I couldn't resist, just ordered some! But anyone else ever noticed the "serving size" ?!?! Who knew you could eat them 😂😂😂

Anyone testing just before Christmas?
Peanutty86 · 18/12/2019 12:52

@Ziggystarduck 😂😂😂😂😂 TASTY 😋

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 14:14

haha serving size?!! I would say 10DPO is still early. If you think average implantation is 8DPO and it take 24 - 48 hours for HCG to be detected on the most sensitive tests (which the FRERs are) then only if you are bang on average will you get a result on that day.
I would wait til 12DPO/ 2 days before period and only test early with an early result test like FRER. CBs and Internet cheapies arent sensitive enough.

chlo04 · 18/12/2019 14:14

@Peanutty86 what is a IC? How amazing though! I bet hour chuffed to bits!!!

TunnocksTcake · 18/12/2019 14:15

Congrats to those with Positives, fingers crossed they get darker and darker

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 14:29

Hope it’s ok if I join in here! Congrats to all of the positives! Gives me such hope :) I’m about 12dpo today - period due 21st. Tested at 9dpo and got bfn so gonna wait it out. Feeling nauseas since yesterday and have a fair bit of CM and cramps but can’t remember if that’s normal for me or not :/ Driving myself mad!

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 15:14

@TunnocksTcake you are very right which is why I haven't tested yet... I am sure that when I get pregnant (fx!) I will be one of those people who has a late implantation.... but it is so tempting to test because if it is a faint positive part of the waiting game is over. Though I get that it then becomes about wanting the line to get darker, waiting for blood test, waiting for scan, waiting for birth etc etc so I suppose this whole business is one big waiting game :) I'll see how I feel tomorrow. I might do it with an FRER or wait till Fri/Saturday...

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 16:41

I’ve been silly and done a FRER this eve (9dpo) which is obviously BFN! Blush Am I crazy to plan on doing one in the morning? Also I know people say FRER are more sensitive than CB, but on the packaging it says they’re 76% sensitive whereas CB say 79%... Don’t know which ones to use! I have one left of both so want to make my decision wisely Grin

IslayBrigid · 18/12/2019 17:18

@BBLibra haha oh no I understand though, I'm thinking of doing tomorrow when I'm 10dpo. Quite torn. Also is your name that because you thought if you get pregnant this month it'll be a libra baby? Or just a coincidence? I was thinking it would be a virgo baby. I'm a virgo so I quite liked this idea haha

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 17:38

@islaybrigid Haha no but that’s such a sweet idea! It’s because my starsign is Libra Smile Fx for you tomorrow if you decide to test! I probably will end up doing another...!

debbs77 · 18/12/2019 17:39

This is such a horrid waiting game! I'm due on Friday and have had negatives so far.

My belly aches, and my pubic bone is sore, so I'm fully expect my period soon.

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 18:02

Pink cm on wiping, think I’m out this month! 3 days early which is so unusual for me but anyway - here’s to next year!

BBLibra · 18/12/2019 18:12

@AfterGlow87 I thought pink cm could be a sign of some implantation spotting? But I could be wrong, I’m very new to the whole TTC game!

AfterGlow87 · 18/12/2019 18:49

Yeah I’ve read that alright but isn’t 12dpo kind of late? I’ve cramping too so assume AF on the way! If by some miracle it’s not here in 2 days I’ll do a test

Spark27 · 18/12/2019 19:04

Wow, this is a lot of messages to come home to Grin
Congratulations on the positives, and fingers crossed for more.

@BBLibra tomorrow is a bit earlier and could be a waste, but if you want to go for it go for it. The way I see it is that if you get a bfn you'll have to buy more to keep testing, and if you get a BFP you'll still buy more to keep checking for a few days Grin

Wrt the cervix I had no idea. Never checked mine. Ever. Guessing its still there. Lol. But probably pretty low anyway after childbirth.

@AfterGlow87 I read somewhere that implantation usually happens between 6 and 12 days, so these pains could be it. And remember, we're all different. FX for you
