Anyone testing just before Christmas?

Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

@IslayBrigid yes it was a different brand so don't know which to believe.
Still no sign of AF either. I don't have any more tests so will have to wait a few days. Guess there will be a more definitive answer by then anyway..? Never done this before so am a bit clueless

Got my BFP today! Can’t believe it, I was sure AF was in the way as felt so crampy. Cycle 8 for us.
Didn’t manage to hold out and surprise DH at Christmas though.

@TangBloodyFastic looks like a positive! Was the second test a different brand? They are all different sensitivities. It could also have malfunctioned... Maybe do another test if you can! X

Can anyone offer any experience, did this test yest and this was the result after 2-3mins
Took another test this morn (different type) with first wee and was quite clearly negative.
Was due on a couple of days ago and no signs as of yet. I am normally clockwork and have been for years. Really confused

@jh2019 I feel you, sorry for th bfn today. The idea of a positive test for Christmas was such a fantasy for me, its a really big downer. No AF yet, and not wasting a test as I know she's halfway here. Just another unwelcome Christmas guest 🤣🤣🤣🤣 big love and positive vibes for all. BFN for me this morning at 11dpo...got a bit upset and it all spilled out in front of my family, feel really bad that I’ve bought a downer on Christmas. Trying to pick myself up but it’s hard!

AF not here yet but due tomorrow, fully expecting it as there was no hint of a line at all on the test and it’s a clearblue early one. Will test once more in the morning with low expectations and then try and focus on having a good time and keeping distracted (with the help of some wine )

Have been reading along with this thread but thought I was out of the game as we only had sex once this month (weren't planning on starting TTC properly until 2020). Just haven't felt right the past few days and AF is due today so thought I'd do a test for fun and.... It's positive?! Not very dark but very obvious.

I can't believe it!

We already have a 20 month old, took us years to get pregnant with a few miscarriages and having to have fertility treatment. So trying to be realistic about the chances of this ending in a baby but for now I'm just in shock!!!

Can't decide whether to Tell DH today or wait until tomorrow?!

Such great news @BoughsOfHolly, so happy for you ! When you posted about your symptoms I thought as much but didn't say anything as didn't want to put my foot in it :) similar to my symptoms before BFP, mild but definitely there.

So sorry @Spark27 and @Ziggystarduck. I hope you can enjoy Xmas and restart the process feeling refreshed in January. Fingers crossed for you! X

Good luck hiding it over Xmas if that's what you choose to do! We are telling immediate family over Xmas just because if we did mc then we would tell them anyway and we want to share the joy while we can 😁 DH already told his sister because she is also pregnant! 12 weeks along. His parents are going to flip!

I think I'm out this month. My temps are dropping and AF feels imminent. I'm 11 dpo, been spotting since yesterday, which happens every cycle. I had my hopes up as I was having some crazy dreams, insomnia and mega night sweats. A bit of nausea too. But feels like games over looking at my chart

I got a BFP this morning - OH is in shock but had a very strong feeling the last few days based on my symptoms. Just crossing everything that it will go smoothly now!

I'm out this month. AF has just showed up. Least it means my cycle was more predictable this month. And it was only my first month TTC so I'm not surprised it didn't happen. I'm going to enjoy the holidays and get back on it in the new year.

congrats to everyone who got their bfp!! deffo think i got my ovulation dates wrong the first time and judging by ovulation pain and cm think i ovulated around the 15th although had the pain until 17th. took a test today and could swear i could see the faintest of faint line lol when i checked again after half hour was deffo a line but that had not been there after about ten mins so not counting that. will test again xmas morning so fingers crossed

Congratulations @xSLPx!! So exciting! Isn't it so funny that it can hit when one least expects :)
I just got through my period "due date" which was today so feeling happy about that! Aside from a bit of anxiety about whether yoga us ok I'm feeling good. Haven't really had symptoms yet except sore boobs and more hungry and tired.
Will definitely look into getting an early scan... does anyone have a clinic they recommend in London or Milton Keynes? X

I'm testing tomorrow, which will be 11DPO - based on previous cycles I'm due AF either tomorrow or Christmas day. Feeling so nervous, worried I won't cope well if it's disappointing news...but will try really hard not to let it ruin my Christmas. Thanks @everpessimistic. We don't plan on telling then until nearer 12 weeks, I'd like to wait until we've had the first scan but not sure if we'll be able to keep it a secret for that long but we'll try. Christmas period is going to be the hardest as it's not like me to pass up a glass of wine!
This was my first test this month, I've been trying really hard not to test early and if it had been any other month I wouldn't have tested early this time either.

Yeah I'm due AF on Christmas Day and decided to test this morning as we're having my OH family over for Christmas dinner and I wanted to know whether to expect AF or not otherwise I'd spend all day thinking about it and if I got a BFN then I could just accept it and not be too upset when it arrives. I am really excited but I don't want to get my hopes up too much until I've actually missed AF.
