Anyone testing just before Christmas?

Quite upset as the smileys don't have their Santa hats on yet.

AF arrived 2 days ago so I will probably be testing around 21st December (cycles are about 24 days)

Anyone else???

I have posted a separate post about this but curious to what you guys think... these are all my frers (and today's ic - the first one I got any kind of line on!) one a day from 12dpo to 14dpo. Today's frer line is a bit broken/ incomplete... has anyone had this? It's freaking me out a little bit and that ic is soooo faint but reminding myself I am due period today so not even Late yet and the colour is good...

Im now thinking even more that I'm out since I am 13dpo and bfn today  af due in 2 days time. @LizzieLottie88 I'm in the same boat as you, recently come off the pill and I'm already a maniac going nuts testing buying more googling stuff so I can really sympathise with the ladies who have been trying for a while. We will all get there what's meant for us won't pass us. Xxxx

@TunnocksTcake I wouldn't worry about the broken line! I saw this on another post too congratulations. Loving all these positives! Maybe there's still hope for me if you tested from 12dpo I am 13dpo and still getting bfn. Xxx

@Bbutterfly yes definitely still hope if you are using ICs, I was v shocked at how unsensitive they seem to be when they advertise otherwise. If you can get your hands on a FRER or Superdrug early I have heard are good too... Otherwise wait a couple of days and try again [Smile]

I'm 14dpo tomorrow. I don't think I'm pregnant. I think my hormones are all over the show though.
Is it even worth testing if I don't think I'm pregnant or should i just wait for AF which is due on Saturday.

@HerondaleDucks I would wait if I were you, It will save your mental health haha! You will only think you've tested too early then keep testing as I have done.

I'll test tomorrow to see if it's a bit darker. Will tell DP tonight when he's home from work. Luckily I am working from home today - would have found it so hard being in the office. I'm very happy but just gobsmacked :) :)

@Peanutty86 definite line there! FRERs are quite magical aren't they. How exciting!!!

@TunnocksTcake I think the slight wiggle in the line just looks like a bit of a design flaw. I highly doubt it would pick up on anything strange happening... it only picks up on the hormone and it's a dark colour so I think you can definitely relax and stay positive :)

@LizzieLottie88 I would wait till at least 10dpo or 11dpo... with FRERs it says that they are accurate for 96% of women 5 days before missed period. So that's five days from the day after your period is due. So today, 10 dpo, is 5 days before missed period for me. But I guess it also depends on how long your luteal phase usually is?

I've heard that it can take a few cycles for ones body to conceive after coming off the pill but I've also heard of people getting PG straight away. Like everything on this journey it seems a bit of a mystery! Everyone is so different. I haven't been on the pill for years and been temping for a year as contraception so maybe that did help, I'm not sure.

Also re CM, I found mine was drying up a bit yesterday so I thought oh, that might mean I'm out.... but clearly not. Shrug. It's all a gamble till that positive test comes. But now I know I am I am looking back on my symptoms and there were a few there but they were not strong so I could equally have been imagining them.

@Bbutterfly you might have only implanted on day 12, and then it takes a couple days for the hormone to show :) don't lose hope for this cycle yet! xx

@IslayBrigid well I am temping, so if it drops below coverline, that is pretty much a certain BFN.... so if I am still above coverline the day before I will have to take one haha.

I have a short LP (well have done last two cycles), so imagine I will know on Xmas eve...

I'm 6 or 7 dpo, honestly time is passing so slowly. I'm feeling crampy still, but I've got a strange sharp shooting pain from my perineum inwards. Anyone had this? It's probably just my temperamental bowels 🤷‍♂️

@IslayBrigid thank you! Well frer coming tomoro. Well I think my first stage was longer as took 2 weeks after withdrawal bleed after finishing my pack of pills the weeks before for me to then ovulate - pretty sure due to cm (used this method when conceiving ds1) but never thought to see what it was like after I ovulate before so I dunno is clear is normal for me never mind a symptom of pregnancy or not 😂 so 2 weeks after the date I ovulated is boxing day so it's all a bit of a guess really. Only been back on the pill for about 8 months I think so hopefully it won't take too long! Anyway, 10 dpo (when I got my faint bfp with ds1, and that was with a cheapie and cb!) will be Sunday. So not sure whether to test Sunday or try to wait longer?! Decisions....

I'm wondering if any of you ladies can give me some advice!

Came off the pill back in June and have tracked my cycles ever since, with what seems to be a 26 day cycle (always starting my period the day the app predicts).

Started TTC after the end of my last period (end of Nov) and am now currently on CD29 with no sign of AF.

Did a FRER this morning (the first ever pregnancy test I've taken in my life!) and got a BFN.

Is it likely that AF is just not showing up because I'm thinking about it too much or is it worth testing again in the morning? New to all of this and trying not to drive myself crazy with it all!

@LizzieLottie88 sounds like you could test Sunday if you got a faint bfp with your son! As long as you reassure yourself that if it's negative it might be false and then you could try again a couple days later. Definitely wait til Sunday at least. The longer we hold out the more likely I'll be positive and be a true result!

@flamingog88 sounds like the test might not be picking it up. You might be in the 1% that it doesn't work for! Esp if you often aren't late. Maybe try another brand or test again tomorrow... If implantation was late for you it might not yet he concentrated enough! Do you have any other symptoms? X

Maybe? I think I've convinced myself it's just my body playing a cruel trick as I honestly don't think I'll be so lucky to have fallen in the first cycle! Having said that, my last period started the day before my wedding and all my friends told me that I'd be so stressed it wouldn't turn up when it was due, but it did, bang on time.

I don't seem to have any symptons but I don't really suffer with my periods either apart from some light cramping on the first day.

I'm trying to tell myself I should wait until Monday to test again (if AF doesn't arrive) but I am a very impatient person so that might be easier said than done

@FlamingoG88 Hmm interesting. Yes could just be a weirdly long cycle that's definitely a possibility. It's my first cycle TTC and I got a faint but visible BFP this morning so it can happen :) Esp if you have been a few months off birth control.

Did you pee on the stick or dip it in a cup? I think dipping in a cup is more effective. Did you use first morning urine? Also sometimes the line is super faint and you have to squint.

Maybe try again tomorrow / Saturday with first morning urine and perhaps by tomorrow it'll be more concentrated.

@IslayBrigid oh wow, congratulations! Just before Christmas too

I peed on the stick, or tried to so if AF hasn't shown up in a couple of days I'll be trying by dipping in a cup instead! POAS seemed pretty difficult tbh but I did use FMU.

I tested yesterday morning which I think was 10dpo and got bfn BB it going to test again tomorrow and if any different but I'm not hopeful as I haven't had any symptoms at all 😔

I think I'm currently 6DPO, AF due on Christmas day so trying to hold off testing until the day itself! It's the first time I've tried temping and had a bit of a weird pattern...temp didn't rise until 4 days after my positive CB digital OPK, though it has stayed consistently high since so hoping that still means I ovulated? I've never really found EWCM either, so just rely on the OPKs...

@ceebee21 sounds like we're at a pretty similar stage, I also have quite a short luteal phase (10-11 days) and due on Christmas day. Fingers crossed for both of us!

congrats to everyone who got their bfp's ok so im starting to think i didn't actually ovulate until a few days ago. i thought af was due 23rd because thats when it came on last month but that was because they were 3 weeks late due to stress i guess. so af due any time between 23rd/31st so ovulation could have happend anytime between 8th/16th. and considering i had sharp ovary pain on the 16th/17th i think it was then...ugh so there is a good chance im bearly into my 2 week wait. been cramping all day though like i usually feel few days before af due?

My temps gone up to 37 last 2 days, was quite high before 36.8 or 9. Anyone know is that's a sign of af or pregnancy?! 9dpo today. I'm not ill at all but glands are very sore 🤔
