@Louu99 any more news? Did you manage to get squeezed in??

OP posts:
CiaraJ01 · 18/11/2019 12:26

@Skygirl1983 you were right anyway - Birmingham markets just voted voted the 2md best in the world!! I'm definitely booking a trip in now!

@sh84 it's amazing isnt it? You think your totally sane and have your shit together - and then when ttc we go a bit crazy 😂

CiaraJ01 · 18/11/2019 12:27

Meanwhile I'm distracting myself with Christmas 😍

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 12:38

@CiaraJ01 it will be visit number 3 for me. I'm hoping I might not be able to have the wine and beer this year!!

@stepmumma91 @Skygirl1983 the dept my mother was in (she's got a prolapse bless her) use the same staff for the early pregnancy unit, they're all connected. So I said what has happened and it's all stressful and they said they wouldn't scan at 5 weeks because it's too early, so sorted some blood test forms for me.
I've had blood taken today to compare with last weeks positive result, and more to be taken Wednesday. They'll ring me tomorrow afternoon to let me know if the levels have gone up or down and we'll take it from there. I feel a bit better about it all, at least it's being sorted a day earlier!

And I went to the loo while I was waiting and it's gone totally pink and almost sticky, no more red! So I've no idea what's happening x

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 12:56

@Louu99 your poor mum. Hope she is ok. So glad they were able to do something for you though. The NHS is amazing and we are so lucky!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you! On another note, during your tww did you suffer with any wind??

stepmumma91 · 18/11/2019 13:02

@Louu99 ah that's good, glad they got you sorted and you're feeling better today!

Jam234 · 18/11/2019 13:22

I feel like im such a pest with all the questions but here it goes. Is it possible that i never actually ovulated last week and now my body could be possibly trying to ovulate from the other side?
Im getting some twinges leaning towards one side. Not the same side as last week.
Ugh i hate not knowing what is going on!!

mrsio · 18/11/2019 13:31

@Louu99 it's so tough to know what to do for the best. I have a fear of being made to feel like I'm wasting doctors time (after a run in with a dick head doctor a few years ago). But having used 111 once when my son was a baby I'd defo recommend calling them if you ever have any issues out of hours. They can book you an emergency gp appt or tell you to go to a & e if they think it's necessary. It takes away the doubt in your mind as to whether you're doing the right thing coz they've told you what is best

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 13:45

@Jam234 you are definitely not a pest. In answer to your question though I haven't a clue!! The more I keep an eye on my cycle the more it confuses me!!

@skygirl1983 thanks for being so understanding. Im new to all of this so its quite overwhelming at times. Im going to try and stop symptom spotting now. Its OH birthday today and we have a few days away just the two of us so im going to take a break and really relax myself ha

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 14:11

@Jam234 it really does consume a lot of your thoughts. Hope you have a lovely few days away. Anywhere nice?

OP posts:
Jam234 · 18/11/2019 14:19

@skygirl1983 it really does. I just need to focus on something else to get my mind off it now. Nowhere exciting. Just down the country for a few days. Really looking forward to it after a busy few months.

In other news. Anybody watch i'm a celebrity last night??

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 15:38

Who else is due to test this week??? I hope this week goes quickly!

OP posts:
CiaraJ01 · 18/11/2019 15:43

@skygirl1983 me!! I'm now 13 DPO and I'm determined not to test but it is KILLING me!!

@Jam234 enjoy your few days away, hopefully itll be a good distraction!!

Skygirl1983 · 18/11/2019 15:50

@CiaraJ01 how on earth are you holding off!!! I'm daft I know but I'm going to start from the earliest I can. I got myself a stash of cheapies. I have seen enough negatives to not be disappointed

OP posts:
Mystie · 18/11/2019 15:55

@Skygirl1983 I'm 9dpo but feel like I'm out already had loads of symptoms up to yesterday but nothing today. BFN today as well I know it's still early but definitely not holding out much hope. Going to try and not test until Wednesday now

mrsio · 18/11/2019 15:58

I've just had my FRERs delivered. Will be using cheapie for a few more days. I'll be 10dpo tomorrow which is when I got BFP last time. Boobs still aren't hurting. Last time that was the only thing different (they used to really hurt for a good 8-10 days before AF) but who's to say I would have the same AF symptoms as 2 and a half years ago??? This is only my 4th cycle in well over 10 years so I have no idea what is normal and what isn't!

CiaraJ01 · 18/11/2019 16:03

@Skygirl1983 I took a test at 11 dpo and it was a BFN so I've only one cheapie test left and I'm try to hold out til AF is due (tomorrow)
Also helps I've lost my bank card and can't order more till my new card comes 😂

But I've convinced myself it's not happened this month 🤷‍♀️

Tamalama · 18/11/2019 16:36

I got my positive opk on Friday, which I think puts me at 3dpo today? I took an opk on Saturday and yesterday and they were both lighter than my Friday opk so I know that's when I definitely had my surge.

I had some ovary pain this morning, felt like a pulling sensation but I'm confused as I got my positive opk on Friday so surely it can't be ovulation? We haven't dtd much either, only last Tuesday and Friday so I'm really hoping I ovulated over the weekend! We had planned to dtd the yesterday but it didn't happen 😕☹️

mellymoo86 · 18/11/2019 16:51

@Louu99 when my friend was 3-4 weeks pregnant she was worried about her pregnancy so she paid privately and had a camera put in to make sure everything was ok. Let us know how bloods come back. Fingers crossed.

@Skygirl1983 how are you feeling? My cervix has risen higher and I have more cream/watery cm. Seems like it's common before your period starts so who knows. 🤷🏽‍♀️

PrettyGirl5545 · 18/11/2019 17:11

@Louu99 yes atleast we can know the levels of hcg. You are very positive, beautiful lady! I hope everything goes well. Waiting for your blood reports.

@CiaraJ01 I'd suggest you to test a day before when AF is supposed to arrive darling. 14 dpo is good to test. I love you for the way you've waited till 14 dpo. Patience in the 2ww is commendable!!! I'm very weak at it..

PrettyGirl5545 · 18/11/2019 17:14

@tamalama don't worry. In the last cycle, I had this ovary pain even after ovulation. It continued till 10 dpo and i was so confused if I'm ovulating late or not .

Louu99 · 18/11/2019 17:21

@Skygirl1983 I seem to be quite windy anyway but I was extra windy yes! My partner certainly noticed 😂 I couldn't believe how nice they all were and saw to me while I was waiting with my mum! She seems to be ok, had been waiting months for this appointment so when they rang last minute I was "yes! Go for it!"

@stepmumma91@mrsio if anything happens like this again (god forbid) I'll definitely be ringing! I'm glad it's being sorted now but the wait is a killer!

@mellymoo86 @PrettyGirl5545 I think if my levels have increased and are still increasing on Wednesdays test I'll ask for an early scan, if they say no then I'll pay private and go somewhere. Although I suppose they might keep a closer eye on me anyway?

Xx

mellymoo86 · 18/11/2019 17:32

@Louu99 yeah see how it goes, my friend got treated terribly by NHS and I have to tbh. I personally hate it and as soon as I get my referral for anything I go private. My GP appointments are done via webcam or phone and they either send me a referral or post me my medicine which comes the next day. It's brilliant.

See how it goes but always follow your instincts. My friend kept getting sent home saying there's nothing to worry about. And I think doctors always assume you worry for no reason. She got a home swob test from superdrug and it came back positive for a infection which she is now treated for. Imagine if she never found it!
