Hi @whambam89! It's suuuuuper hard not to symptom spot. The wait is torture - those look like they could be promising signs :)

whambam89 · 19/11/2019 08:03

@quiffy by this stage usually I have been out and bought pregnancy tests but I'm not letting myself this time. I think after convincing myself every month my head is now swaying the other way and I'm convincing myself I'm not.
Are you still spotting?

Quiffy · 19/11/2019 08:14

@whambam89 that's probably a far better way to think of it - then it's a nice surprise if it happens and less of a disappointment if it doesnt. Going to try that next month! Christmas should be a nice distraction.

I'm on to brown spotting today. Hoping that means it's coming to a end. I used one of the tests you get with the ovulation tests and it was neg. Had a go with an ovulation test too since I'm full on crazy this month hehe.

Lolastanley · 19/11/2019 10:44

@whambam89 that’s a good way of doing it. I promised myself I wouldn’t test this month and I caved yesterday and again this morning. Only did this morning as I’m working nights now for the rest of the week so thought I’d not get another chance. BFN all round though.

I want to cave in too but I've drank so much water and coffee already. I think im going to test tomorrow morning, ill only be 10dpo but af due on thursday, thought it qas tomorrow but got it wrong

Mangoandlimes · 19/11/2019 12:36

Ugh the wait is torturous. The irony of course is that I know I'd be better to relax and forget about it (probably even raise my chances that way), but it's so much harder to actually do....

Lolastanley · 19/11/2019 13:05

@Mangoandlimes And @LiliceHa ha i wish I had waited! I think I’m still relaxed about it though since we aren’t actively TTC just not being careful. Also has anybody had any experience with the Flo app changing the days of ovulation... I could of sworn I was 10DPO yesterday but not says it’s today and period due in 5 days.

Hi All mind if I join in?

Currently 2 DPO confirmed with ultrasound the day I ovulated.

OH and I have been TTC since May this year and the 2WW is just agonising. Constantly symptom spotting then searching google for a little bit of hope!

It’s driving me crazy now! How do you all cope with it?

Quiffy · 19/11/2019 13:21

@bella330 Not very well, this is just TTC month 2 for my husband and I so all new and makes symptom spotting too easy haha. Good luck this month! Hopefully the wait isnt too torturous.

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 13:32

I also have no idea when AF is due either.

I’m usually 28-30 days and I usually ovulate on CD16. I’ve been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests. This month I had 9 days of flashing smileys and I was so sick of the flashing smiley mocking me every morning that I just wrote this month off and thought sod it.

CD20 came and I had a routine ultrasound scan as I had lots of cysts on my ovaries January 2018. Sonographer said to me I needed to get home and DTD as I had a dominant follicle about to rupture so I’m guessing I probably actually ovulated CD21 so would this make AF come later?

Lolastanley · 19/11/2019 13:33

@Bella330 I can’t imagine what it’s like to be TTC for ages, it must be constantly heart breaking. I had a chemical pregnancy two months ago and I think since then I’ve got addicted to symptom spotting on the TWW.

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 13:41

I’m sure there is other ladies that have been trying longer than I have. It’s just so frustrating every month.

Sorry about your CP I’ve heard they are quite common not that it makes you feel any better about it.

Fingers crossed we all have BFP’s before the end of year.

Lilice · 19/11/2019 14:04

@Lolastanley I also use the flo app and it never gets my ovulation day right. I use opks which tell me I ovulate 4 days after. It does get my AF day right. I think it has moved my ovulation day before, as when I looked back my fertile window had been moved. Very odd. Maybe it was moved when I entered, but not sure. I tend to ignore now anyway, I follow the smep and use opks.

@bella330 good luck for this month. Knowing when you actually ovulated must take some of the guesswork out!

Lilice · 19/11/2019 14:08

@Bella330 yes I've read that AF comes later if you ovulate later. However for me it's not the case as I tend to have a short lutheal phase of barely 10 days on a 26 days cycle

whambam89 · 19/11/2019 14:08

@lolastanley @quiffy doesn't mean I'm not symptom spotting like crazy still haha. Nausea is strong today (ate a mcds double cheeseburger earlier and genuinely thought it was coming back up🤢) and had a pain in my lower abdomen since last night which seems to be easing off a bit now. Just telling myself it's unlikely they're pregnancy related and could be a number of things.

You're not out until AF shows! Hopefully that's the end of your spotting @quiffy I've seen people not get their BFP until a week or so after spotting so I wouldn't count yourself out x

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 14:17

Yes it does take the guess work out so I’m just hoping for the BFP in a couple of weeks.

FX for you all.

whambam89 · 19/11/2019 14:24

@lolastanley I used the Flo app when TTC DD1 and fell pregnant on cycle 3 or 4 so it was quite accurate for me. This time it's my body that isn't playing ball so the app does change days quite often and my cycle has gone from average 30 days to average 26 days now 🤷‍♀️ haven't used opks or bbt yet, but might think about that if we hit 6 months and no BFP but we're trying to not let it control our lives at the moment (much easier said than done, for me anyway haha - maybe not the OH)

whambam89 · 19/11/2019 14:25

@bella330 fingers crossed for you! 🤞

Lolastanley · 19/11/2019 14:34

@whambam89 and @Lilice yeah that makes sense. My Flo app predicted id ovulate on 8th and I had egg white CM on 9th so I think I must of ovulated around then? Maybe a day or two later. I might start using opks just to see how accurate the app is.

The only different symptom I have today is, I have increased CM not sure if that’s because my period is coming soon though. To be fair I’ve had watery Cm since ovulating, not sure if that’s normal for me though.

I've been rubbish at not symptom spotting this time round. @bella330 im the same, i even found myself in a moment of weakness googling if a twitching eye was a sign (and ffs it can be!) But I think EVERYTHING can be a sign when you google, i really don't think it's related bar stress! Pretty relieved that I'm due this weekend as I need a reset and a rest lol. Still feeling dizzy and sick so I alternate hourly from no I'm defo not to omg I must be. Realistic me says it's my iron levels but my mind like a to wander!

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 14:51

I find those moments of weakness all the time!! Constant googling and stalking forums to see if anyone else had experienced the same as me and ended with a BFP!

I’m considering using bbt next cycle if it doesn’t happen this month. Is anyone else using it?

Quiffy · 19/11/2019 15:41

Well my spotting seems to have stopped bar that one bit of brown at 6am. And with it all my symptoms have disappeared - I very much have that day after period happy body. Know what I mean?

So, I’m thinking I had a short cycle this month perhaps brought on by stress. Which probably explains my lighter opk results (I didn’t start testing until Wed 6th as I was staying at my parents with nowhere to hide my pee pot haha) I’ve added it to Ovia as a light period and that means I’m heading into fertile spot as early as this weekend.

Been looking at SMEP (anyone tried it?) this afternoon so going to give that a go and I bought a thermometer to go with my ovulation tests this month.

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 15:56

Absolutely know that feeling. I usually feel really optimistic and calm too after AF.

Yes I’ve tried the SMEP a couple of cycles ago... only tried one cycle but didn’t work for me unfortunately. I went to the GP she said I might not be letting his swimmers mature enough so to abstain from BD until I get my peak.

Fingers crossed it works for you!

Quiffy · 19/11/2019 16:28

That’s a really good point! Didn’t think of it that way at all. It does feel like it comes down to pure luck doesn’t it

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 16:58

But then I’ve read regular ejaculation is good for them. It’s just so confusing!
