@lilice I did and it was amazing! Happy to give advice and where to go for research if you are interested. Ps also look into doulas- mine were amazing for the whole of my pregnancy and birth and after x

@lolastanley1 Tbh from your chart id day you havent ovulated yet... the temps need to be consistently raised usually until AF is due really where yours seem generally level. Are you using a bbt thermometer?

LolaStanley1 · 29/01/2020 21:26

Yeah @Sammyclaire22 I’m using a femo one. However I have been taking them between 6-10 when on day shifts and 12-14:00 on nights so don’t think that’s helping at all!

Sammyclaire22 · 30/01/2020 07:54

Sorry @loloastanley1 i reread what I put and it sounded really blunt! What I meant was that the DATA looks like you havent, but I would say that with your shifts etc it's not accurate. Also do you take it orally? As I think that can have a big effect and these are such small temp shifts in reality.

Bfn fmu, and bbt has dropped. Ive got cramps and in a really bad mood so feel like AF is due at any point even though I'm only CD21!

LolaStanley1 · 30/01/2020 09:47

@Sammyclaire22 aw don’t worry I didn’t think it was blunt! Yes I take it orally? Is that not right?

Aw I’m sorry. But remember you aren’t out until AF shows!

Sammyclaire22 · 30/01/2020 11:28

You can do orally but if you mouth breathe or snore it can affect it apparently. I do mine vaginally lol. Not v glamourous but if I'm going to the hassle of doing it might as well go whole hog!

Quiffy · 30/01/2020 11:47

@Lolastanley1 think your shift work is really messing with your bbt. I also read that vaginally is meant to work better so could be worth a try

@sammyclaire22 when is af due? You’re defo not out yet 🤞

LolaStanley1 · 30/01/2020 13:08

Yeah I think it is. However I did read as long as your body is rested it shouldn’t matter when you do the temping? Anyways next cycle I’ll try that vaginally.

Sammyclaire22 · 30/01/2020 20:30

Assuming I'm 10dpo then 4 days roughly, though I think this month feels really long for the tww! It's actually only 5 days since I had the spotting but feels more like 10. I have no patience! But also no symptoms :(

Start with vaginally and see what you get- does fem have any additional support you could ask for advice?

LolaStanley1 · 31/01/2020 08:43

I think it’s finally working, looks like I ovulated on 27th or 28th.

10DPO is super early, still hope yet.

Anybody 3DPO..?
Sammyclaire22 · 31/01/2020 11:46

That looks more like it @lolastanley1! As annoying as bbt is, it generally does give a clearer answer than opks x

LolaStanley1 · 31/01/2020 12:48

Thanks, I’m just so glad it’s finally risen, this is the first month out of 6 I have had confirmation I’ve actually ovulated!

Lilice · 31/01/2020 21:00

That's great @LolaStanley1are you doing the opks too or just temping this time?
@Sammyclaire22 you are so brave for having a homebirth! Im glad you had a great experience. I admire people who can do it. I don't think I would be allowed because my last one was a c section (breech baby) and i guess I'll need monitoring if I go for a vbac

LolaStanley1 · 31/01/2020 22:17

No @lilice, I gave up with them as I never got a reading above 0.38!

Id love a home birth too, I’ve heard so many positive things for people when it’s gone successfully, but unfortunately I am children’s nurse and only ever seen the scary sides to birth so that’s completely ruined that for me.

Sammyclaire22 · 31/01/2020 22:21

Not brave at all, just always preferred the idea of being left to it! (Im a healthcare professional so did my research into all the pros and cons) main thing is to birth where you feel safest as this will up oxytocin and suppress adrenaline :)

If your pregnancy goes ok there is nothing to say you can't have a VBAC home birth- check out homebirth UK and homebirth after ceasearean uk on Facebook for advice about what things to consider before ruling it out. Main issue is risk of uterine rupture, but this is still very low and can happen in any pregnancy x

LolaStanley1 · 02/02/2020 11:57

How’s everybody getting on? And how many DPO? Any symptoms?

Sammyclaire22 · 02/02/2020 12:49

I'm about 13dpo and think AF is due any min!
Fem says I'm due on today (ovia says tues) and I've had slight staining since last night. Was going to do one last poas but forgot when I sat down, probably for the best! No real symptoms anyway- bbt dropped to the coverline 3 days ago then rose again but I've had that before.
Just feel a bit down about it all now- the spotting I had a week ago really gave me hope and I know I got too excited. I've subscribed to Amazon frer subscription so I wont early order and waste more money on them testing early!

How and where abouts are you with things now? A few days into the tww?

LolaStanley1 · 02/02/2020 15:49

Have you retested since the last time? I mean I’m not too sure on the BBT rise and fall, and re rise. Until it’s fallen permanently there is still hope!! Some people just don’t get symptoms at all do they?

I’m 5 DPO, I’m not sure if it’s all in my head but I’ve had on and off cramps in my right lower side and I feel on and off nauseous but they both could just be symptoms of randomness. I’m not going over think anything until next weekend if my period is late.

Sammyclaire22 · 02/02/2020 21:06

Tested later on this afternoon and bfn. Still no AG though and no more staining. Just wish it would come! If you Google but drop it comes up with implantation drop, but when you read into it it's only a feature slightly more common in pregnant charts than none pregnant! Really got my hopes up a couple of cycles ago but at least I'm learning now!
I've felt sick most months since ttc- I sure it's all psychological now! But could be a good sign for you? Fingers crossed for you! X

LolaStanley1 · 03/02/2020 12:16

Aww, it’s still kept at bay though so fingers crossed!! It’s such a pain this TWW. I feel for you.

Yeah could be. I’ve had them before so I’m not getting my hopes up.

whambam89 · 03/02/2020 13:56

Hi all, (what I thought was) AF showed up last Saturday but I just had a feeling a few days ago that I should POAS and thought I saw a v v faint positive... Didn't get my hopes up and have literally left it about 4 days and just went and got a cheapy in home bargains while I was picking up a couple of bits anyway... And I got this. Concerned it isn't darker as I should be around 20 dpo now but I'm pretty sure that's a bfp?

Anybody 3DPO..?
LolaStanley1 · 03/02/2020 15:18

Congratulations @whambam89 that definitely is a BFP. 20DPO could still be early to have a dark dark line but that’s pretty solid!

whambam89 · 03/02/2020 15:24

@lolastanley1 thank you! I'm a bit concerned that it's not darker especially with what felt like a normal AF. I'm going to test again with FMU tomorrow and hope that it's got darker. I had such a dark like with DD1 straight away I suppose I feel like it should be the same this time. My OH is working away again tonight so I've got to wait until tomorrow to tell him!

Lilice · 03/02/2020 18:19

Congrats @whambam89 definitely a bfp there!

whambam89 · 03/02/2020 18:30

@lilice thank you! How are you feeling?

JMB2097 · 03/02/2020 18:39

I am 3DPO. Trying not to symptom spot. Not really expecting anything this month though. DTD 4 days before ovulation and then never had the chance to do it again closer to ovulation. So very doubtful about this month but who knows.
