@Lillice Yeah my luteal was 7 days 2 cycles ago and 10 days last cycle. I got evening primrose oil for cm and angus castus for the luteal - taking both of these from cd1 until I ovulate then I'll stop. I also bought maca root (which might help with progesterone iirc) and I'm taking my usual Pregnacare conception. Also bought some pre-seed as I'm throwing the kitchen sink at TTC this month.

Where are you thinking about getting the cream? I cant really see any on Amazon so might wait until after christmas as we'll be away from 23rd.

Lolastanley · 19/12/2019 11:22

Ah right, that is short. What can they do for it besides vitamins?

I just counted back my last three cycles, now obviously can’t be sure when I ovulated but I always seem to have a period on day 15 DPO. Which would be today by some apps calculations, so maybe it will be today?

Lolastanley · 19/12/2019 11:50

Actually. 16DPO today.

Lilice · 19/12/2019 13:45

@Lolastanley sounds very promising! I hope this month will be the one for you xx
@Quiffy I was thinking of one called serenity progesterone cream because I've seen it mentioned on mumsnet but yeah it's not on amazon and when I google it, it comes up as a menopause cream 😳 even scarier now. Anyway I've talked to my gp today and she advised me not to use it in case it messes everything up. She didn't advise anything in fact and said my luteal phase was fine and all my results were normal. She just said to keep trying and come back in a few months if still nothing. I really need to stop googling stuff and relax.
Is anybody going to take a break from ttc over christmas? I'm going away tomorrow and really dont feel like packing opk and the whole coktails of vitamins but I also dont want to waste another month...

Quiffy · 19/12/2019 14:21

@lilice glad your tests are all okay and she thinks it's fine. Maybe best to keep away from the cream then. Probably good advice to not google and relax... it's really hard though!

We're going to dtd until we leave on 23rd. If I dont ovulate until later in month we'll be taking a break. No way do I want to take opks over to my parents (nevermind BD!). It was bad enough when DH left our pregnacare vitamins out for everyone to see when we've not told anyone we're TTC

Lolastanley · 19/12/2019 17:41

Are you both going away? How lovely! I’ve got to work Christmas so it will be a welcoming Distraction if AF hasn’t shown up, otherwise I’ve got to explain to the family why I’m not drinking!

I decided if this wasn’t the month I was going have a month or two break. So I get why you’d want one. Plus my partner decided to tell me the other day he isn’t ready for children.... :/ awkward.

Laurenson88 · 19/12/2019 17:52

I am trying for my 3rd baby, the first two with a previous partner I was very lucky and got pregnant the first month of trying both times!
This time in I am 7 months later still not pregnant...
I always ovulate between day 14-17 quite often on the later side.
This month on day 12 I got spotting and ovulation pain in the morning, I didn’t test as I just forgot and I had the next day but late in the evening! I have tested since then ... day 14 onwards and nothing! I’m now day 18.
Do you think I’ve missed the chance this month?!

Quiffy · 19/12/2019 18:05

@Lolastanley no! Did he say why? Does that mean he doesnt want to try? Are you okay?

@laurenson88 Did you dtd anytime before or near cd12?

Lolastanley · 19/12/2019 18:12

Ah yeah I’m ok because we aren’t officially trying. We just aren’t being “careful” and I’ve always wanted it more than him, which is why I said to him that he needs to behave if that’s the case. I think he does but he’s terrified. Understandable. It’s a bit commitment!

OP posts:
Laurenson88 · 19/12/2019 18:55

@Quiffy only day 13! But worried I’d have missed the boat .... as it was around 40 hours after the spotting and ovulation pain Confused I wasn’t expecting it to be so early!

Quiffy · 19/12/2019 19:24

@laurenson88 aw man! You might have. The egg does stay around for a bit and maybe the pain/spotting was leading up to OV so you could still be in. I'd maybe just try and enjoy christmas and get geared up for next month. Sorry :(

@Lolastanley It is a big commitment and guys always seem to be scared. He'll prob end up the most excited of all when he gets a daddy's boy/girl.

Lilice · 19/12/2019 19:24

@Yeah it's always awkward when you're not drinking and people become suspicious. I think I would have had to tell my parents at least. @Quiffy They dont know we're ttc either and not planning on telling them. They would think im mad. Ive finished packing and still took some opk! I can't help myself lol. @Lolastanley your man is probably scared as it's a big commitment but im sure he'll be happy.
@laurenson88 have you got any cheap opk to keep testing in case you're ovulating late this month? How long is your cycle usually?

Lolastanley · 19/12/2019 21:18

Yeah, it will be all good when it happens. I just wish I knew either way now..

OP posts:
Laurenson88 · 19/12/2019 21:48

@Lilice @Quiffy yes I have and normally I start testing from day 14 as I’m never early but often late! So I am still going to check for the next few days or so!
It just seemed a bit coincidental that all the signs were there day 12 and I didn’t even think to test just thought it was too early!
Like you say I’m going to assume it was too late and look forward to Xmas! Thank you!

Lolastanley · 20/12/2019 12:23

No AF today, BFN on b&m cheapie... started with sore nipples last night so figured AF was on the way but nothing. Don’t know what to do now, getting fed up. If I was pregnant it would of shown surely!

OP posts:
Lilice · 20/12/2019 12:41

Have you worked out how many dpo you are? Some people just take longer to get a positive result. Maybe you implented a bit later. No af is good news! I understand the wait must be very frustating though.

Lolastanley · 20/12/2019 12:55

My apps say between 15 DPO And 19 DPO. Still early I guess, and my friend was 2 weeks before she got hers.

OP posts:
Quiffy · 20/12/2019 17:23

@Lolastanley No wonder you're frustrated - hopefully it's just too early for a BFP yet

Sammyclaire22 · 21/12/2019 20:51

Sorry for the radio silence, the lo and Christmas chaos has kept me busy!
@mystie I'm so sorry to hear your news, are you ok?
@Lolastanley 're the oh getting cold feet, you mentioned the other day that he was getting frustrated with you during the tww, maybe it's more of a reaction to that and the pressures of ttc and seeing how it's so tough for the woman? I know my oh tends to try and run away if he can't fix a problem and they can feel just as responsible/ worried that it's not happened yet as us ladies!

lostfrequencies · 21/12/2019 22:59

Well I'm out, again! AF came today. This cycle was 35 days long, they seem to vary between 32-36 so when I think I'm late I'm actually not it's just a longer cycle. In a way I was relieved to come on as, bad as it sounds, I now know for sure I'll be drinking and relaxing over Christmas and out on NYE. Then in the new year we can start trying again. Also really need to lose weight as I told myself I wouldn't be an "obese expectant mother" again. Best of luck to everyone yet to test x

Quiffy · 22/12/2019 08:07

@lostfrequencies have a great time over Christmas and New Year relaxing! I’ll be joining you in a major Jan diet. Eating too many feelings recently and now even my leggings are getting snug 😅

@Lolastanley did you test again?

I was predicted to ovulate yesterday but still no peak. Just goes from low to high and back over the day. Last month I had a blazing peak on cd13 but cd14 today. So I’m not sure if I’ve missed peak or just yet to ovulate. We dtd last few nights and will again tonight but leaving at 6am tomorrow for my parents and not taking opks. Getting the already out feels before the tww already.

Lilice · 22/12/2019 08:34

Sorry about the AF @lostfrequencies you can now enjoy all the xmas festivities with no restrictions! Roll on 2020!
@Mystie how are you? Have you tested again just in case? I hope you're ok.
@quiffy how many times do you test per day? Have you noticed any changes with vitex yet?
@Lolastanley no news good news??

Quiffy · 22/12/2019 09:15

@lilice over last few days I’ve been testing 4 times a day. Started cd8 with 2 a day. Not noticed yet with vitex, will see what happens around af and if my luteal phase shifts any. Tbf I’ve got a honking cold coming on so that’s maybe screwing with my body a bit.

Mystie · 22/12/2019 09:19

@Lilice thanks for thinking of me. Af arrived overnight which is a relief now I know it's not a BFP. Now I can look forward to Christmas and a new cycle going into the new year. I'm starting my Chinese herbal medicine as well this month so that's exciting, although not sure how I'm going to get on taking an extra 22 tablets a day! Hope you're looking forward to Christmas x

Lolastanley · 22/12/2019 09:36

Hey guys. Sorry about your AF @lostfrequencies.

Yeah that could be true @sammyclaire22 thanks!

No AF for me, 2/3 days late depending on app. CD32. So still chance for AF to arrive. It’s just so annoying as I’ve had such bad back pain, and dull abdomen pain, constant clear CM and last night I had the most painful breasts.. tested this morning with a cheapie and negative! I do have a FRER for I’d rather save it. I might leave it now until after Christmas.
