Ewcm is the one symptom I can totally be sure I'm not imagining! So defo look out for it... interesting about the EPO might have a Google myself!
Anyone else nearing the middle or end of the tww? Any signs?!
Think I'm due on in about 5 days, I'm usually about 26 days but feel like it might only be an early month. Really not feeling preggers and been craving chocolate Blush but I'm not stressing as much this tww so that's good! Although I kept checking for any spotting today just incase there might have been a sign of implantation (nothing at all!)

lostfrequencies · 11/12/2019 21:34

Is anyone testing soon? I'll be 9 DPO tomorrow and am thinking I might... though i couldn't get any FRER so settled for the clearblue early result.

Lolastanley · 12/12/2019 10:21

Has anybody ever had this? My highest ever reading was 0.33 and now I’m back at that, could that mean I haven’t ovulated this month?

I’m craving chocolate too, but have been since like 3DPO lol also really carb stuff. I don’t feel pregnant so I’m not expecting miracles and I have sneakily tested on cheap 99p ones all week and zero luck.

@Lolastanley maybe you missed the surge this month. Which app are you using? Cd 22 looks darker than the others. How long is your usual cycle?

I had my progesterone results today and they came back normal (47) yay!!! Im very surprised as the test should be done at 7dpo and i was at approximately 3dpo / 7ish days before Af. At least i know now that im ovulating.

Lilice · 12/12/2019 14:47

@Sammyclaire22 im due in 5 days too but no symptons whatsoever. Im tired and cold but im always like that. Are you going to test soon?

Lilice · 12/12/2019 14:48

@lostfrequencies have you done your test? Fingers crossed for you! I dont think ill test this month and just wait to af. Cant stand bfn anymore lol

Sammyclaire22 · 12/12/2019 20:16

Great news @lilice about the bloods... me and you can cross off one worry!
I did a cheapie yesterday just because I felt like it lol. Far too early and no symptoms! Will prob test sat or wait for AF.
Have you got opks from earlier in this cycle @lolastanley? I ovulated around CD13-15 so wondering if youve missed it?

Lolastanley · 12/12/2019 22:27

Maybe I did miss it, these are from earlier in my cycle. Didn’t have loads of EWCM which is normally an indicator for me. I had my normal cramps though. Going to use temping and clear blue next month, heard lot of bad things about internet cheapies. Which is what I used.

Excellent news about your tests!! And I agree about the testing early, it’s just soul destroying. I feel quite down about it all this month.

@lolastanley Cd10 looks positive to me! Or very high if not! The background isn't white and the strip is wonky so maybe that's why it's reading low? It's def high imo, id read that as my month peak or close to it if it was me. Any excm around then?
I wouldn't trust too much into the reading an app gives... so much depends on the quality of the camera and the photo. I plan to use mine more to keep track of the order I took them.

Woke up with sore nips today...unusual symptom for me during a normal cycle but bfn on a frer. Im 10dpo and expect AF in a couple of days which is when I got a faint bfp last time but that was in the evening. Might check a cheapie again later this avo if they are still sore but probably just another mind game my body wants to play!

On another note my bbt has gone right back up so it was a random dive mid cycle, found a Google post that said it can happen in about 10% of people with the hormone levels shifting and isn't a sign of anything really so that's put my mind at rest over any weird cycle goings on.
Anyone else symptom spotting?

lostfrequencies · 13/12/2019 07:26

Lilice yep I tested this morning and it's a BFN.

Does anyone else still peer at the test from every angle, shine their phone light on it and take photos even when it's an obvious BFN?

Lolastanley · 13/12/2019 10:22

@lostfrequencies hell yes! Then I invert then colours on my phone to make sure it’s not hiding.. then if you stare at it long enough you see a line because the control line is embedded in your eyes! Crazy isn’t it.

Aw thanks @Sammyclaire22 that’s a relief. I never knew you had to use a white background until I downloaded another app. So that’s why.. and to be honest I never thought it would be so soon so I wasn’t really doing it right. Going to be better prepared next time around.

I heard if your temp stays elevated that’s a good sign??

OP posts:
Sammyclaire22 · 13/12/2019 20:05

@lostfrequencies yep same here! Turning on the brightest lamps I can find whilst telling myself if it's not a clear line then it's not a true positive and ignoring myself completely!
Still got sore boobs but bfn tonight. Sensible me says it's just a random symptom of AF. Quite glad I'm due on soon as any possible symptom sends my don't poas until AF is late resolve down the pan!
Anyone know how long before AF temps are due to drop? Or is it once she arrives?

Sammyclaire22 · 13/12/2019 20:07

@lolastanley every month is a lesson- I'm finding out so much each cycle! Do you temp? It might show clearer what peaks are happening when with your opks?

Lolastanley · 13/12/2019 21:30

@Sammyclaire22 I think it’s until AF arrives?

No I’ve ordered a thermometer for next cycle. So I’ll start for sure!

OP posts:
Lilice · 13/12/2019 21:57

Im gonna to use the thermometer too, not next cycle but the one after as ill be abroad for christmas. Im not feeling positive this month will be the one for me as my luteal phase seems to have shrank. So im reminding myself of all the positive sides of NOT being pregant over Christmas: getting drunk on champagne on Christmas day, eating foie gras, smoked salmon and stinky unpasteurised cheese, getting drunk at new year eves party, and im gonna get my hair done as my highlights have grown out!

Sammyclaire22 · 13/12/2019 22:40

Another bonus of not getting pregnant the next two months means you miss the end of August early September baby boom- an overcrowded maternity unit is not good!
Plus being heavily pregnant in the heatwave season is hard (my first was a mid August baby) then most of your mat leave is over winter so it's too cold dark and wet to go out!
I think I got my bbt cheap from Amazon, seems to do the job well though. I still panic about forgetting to test before ive moved though!
Hopefully tracking your temp will give you more certainty if your luteal phase has been affected, which although isnt good news means you know with more clarity if you need to do something about it.

Quiffy · 13/12/2019 22:46

@Lilice that’s a great and tasty way of looking at it!

My temp dropped steadily for a few days before AF. That was only my first month temping so not sure if that’s the regular way though, but once it started to drop my hopes went down!

Lilice · 13/12/2019 22:59

@Sammyclaire22 yes exactly being heavily pregnant over the summer sucks! I have two October babies and was hoping for a spring one. Not gonna happen this year. I think I might end up with a third october baby at this rate, if I'm lucky!
@quiffy I haven't started temping for this reason. I also don't trust myself in doing it accurately, I've already managed to screw up with the advanced clear blue opk this month because I didn't read the instructions properly 😂. But I think that's my next step for next year.

Sammyclaire22 · 14/12/2019 09:39

Thanks @quiffy... my temps are going up not down atm anyway so it's adding to my could I be neurosis lol. Just checked my clue and earlier in the year I had q as few 28d cycles so still might be few days off AF (thought I'd be due on Monday at the latest as I'm cd24 today)
Sorry if it's tmi but I temp vaginally... i read first time round it was better but do people normally do it orally? It a pain in the ass to do when your barely awake! (Not literally lol)
Fwiw I've found it easier than opks- having a set number is unarguable rather than guessing if a line is peak peak or almost peak

Quiffy · 14/12/2019 10:58

I temp orally, that sounds like too much work in the morning! I agree that temping is easier than opks as it’s like a sure fire that was your day!

Have you tested yet @Sammyclaire22 or are you waiting?

Lolastanley · 14/12/2019 11:54

Quick question, how do you know via temping? You don’t know it’s approaching do you, only that it’s happened?

OP posts:
Quiffy · 14/12/2019 12:11

For me my temp steadily rises from after period then drops, so I know it’s coming. I get a good few days of peak days so helps me work out what day I actually ovulated.

Sammyclaire22 · 14/12/2019 13:25

I use temping to confirm that I have ovulated so I'm more confident of dpo rather than to predict it. Im generally around the same CD and get ewcm so use that for dtd! Plus I was worried about my luteal phase length so will mean that's clearer.

I've tested q a bit the last 2 days.. I read on another post around 10/11dpo late evening is better so tried again last night! Just internet cheapies but ive just done a frer now and bfn. Thought I could see a squinter then realised the back of the test has a plastic line and it's shadow was showing through against the sun! Doh!
Think I'm fighting the cold my dd had so that could explain higher temps and sore boobs can still be a sign of AF so im hopeful but not optimistic. If I'm not pg then AF is def due soon as I've been feeling off all day today!

Lolastanley · 14/12/2019 13:53

Ah so it varies from person to person, I should be more confident with my results after a few months of temping.

Yeah if I go off flo app, which is usually very accurate then I’ll be due AF Monday, if I go off premom then Tuesday and clue and ovia predict Thursday! Really need to be using one app lol this month I haven’t had sore nipples which I’ve had the passed two months leading to AF, I have the worse back pain and keep feeling dizzy. I bet I’ve caught a cold also!

Fingers crossed for you though @sammyclaire22!

The gist of what I've learnt this month is that a sustained rise of 0.2C is normal if you ovulate, and ideally the rise is 10-16 days long. You might get an ovulation dip just before it, but not always and they can be up and down a bit but ideally all over the coverline. Though a dip in the middle of the luteal phase is also less common but also normal- a triphasic cycle (which is what I think I had this month!)
