Morning,

@lozzlepop pleased the appointment went well, I think after DH second SA i will be referred for similar tests, had the rubella and chlamydia test done already.
Your ring is so beaut 😍
And loving the wedding mag too 😊

@MIW01 never heard of that either, I assume that's what it could be too tho, I will have to have a google ha!

@whatsthecraic91 how has DH got on, or is it later in the day? Ours was successful this morning, no major mishaps 😂

whatsthecraic91 · 28/01/2020 17:49

@Lottiepink glad all went well!! Yes he said it was fine, it was at 8am this morning so nice and early to get it over with! We don’t get the results for 2 weeks which is awful long, I thought it would have only been a couple of days 😟 he’s nervous of the results but I think he will be fine as he has a 6 year old DS!

Lottiepink · 28/01/2020 21:38

@whatsthecraic91 I got told 10-14 days on our first, but rang our doctors 3 days later and the results were in, so i will ring Friday after lunch. I assume they will be in, I would give it a go. They have to check it immediately so I would assume a few days is enough. Worth a try anyways 😊 hope it's all good 😊 my DH has made some big lifestyle changes, so hope ours is good too.

ToCaden · 29/01/2020 06:05

@Lozzlepop congrats!!!

Not looking good for me this cycle. Took a frer at 13dpo and it's bfn. Annoying as I did sooo much this cycle to make it go right. I really thought this would be the one that worked.

MIW01 · 29/01/2020 07:20

Beautiful @Lozzlepop this mine. I like colour in case you couldn't tell.

whatsthecraic91 · 29/01/2020 09:22

@Lottiepink wish I could ring but we are different GP practices so he has to ring so I will have to school him on what to say & ask 🤣

@ToCaden aww I’m sorry about BFN, I feel like that every month, I always think this will 100% be the month! Not over to AF comes tho do you feel like she is?

@MIW01 love it!! I love a coloured stone too, DP know this for when the time comes 😂

Lottiepink · 29/01/2020 09:56

@MIW01 wow I love it!

@ToCaden sorry for the bfn 😕 awful when you feel like you literally tried everything too

@whatsthecraic91 he will be able to add you on his file to speak on his behalf, but I actually asked the doctor if they could get me a print out, which they did no problem, maybe worth getting your partner to ask?

Anny27 · 29/01/2020 10:14

Morning ladies :D cycle day 4 here so period nearly over and ready for the DTD to start soon haha!

@Lozzlepop gorgeous ring!! It's the same cut and colour as mine except yours is a bigger diamond haha! Have so much fun wedding planning- do you have a time in mind for the big day?

@Dippytique welcome :D it's a lovely bunch here. Any sign if AF?

@whatsthecraic91 ahh have an amazing trip away! It will be a good distraction to be away and not obsessed with ttc. Glad the SA is over

@MIW01 when will you have the test done? I havent heard of that test but good that they are exploring all options . Ooh love your ring too! You are recently engaged as well arent you?

@ToCaden BFN are always depressing:(

@Lottiepink is AF over yet?

@orangeloo how are you doing?

orangeloo · 29/01/2020 16:19

Hi @Anny27 thanks for checking in. Had a little break but now mostly caught up. Hope your gearing up your energy for dtd.

Congratulations to those who have had bfp's. Congrats on the engagements and welcome to the newbies.

I am 8DPO, awaiting a referral for hsg and also found out yesterday I have mildly high prolactin- was a bit bummed as it just felt like yet another hurdle. But feel okay thanks to those who recently posted as glad I saw this. Such an important tool for sharing info. Got a retest in two weeks.

I have had I would say the usual symptoms so trying not to get my hopes up but I always do. In good news I usually spot at 6 dpo and I haven't yet- I believe wholly down to the natural progesterone cream that I've been using. I feel guilty and a gp would tell me off but I thought it was worth a shot as no doctor so far is of the belief that the spotting is a problem or that my progesterone could be low.

Dippytique · 29/01/2020 16:31

@Anny27 Thanks for the welcome!

So glad to have found somewhere to share what’s on my mind. It feels like I’ve spent most of my time over the last few months wishing I was pregnant. I didn’t feel that broody about a year ago and then it’s like it’s hit me full force! It doesn’t help that I have an impatient nature. No sign of AF still but still keep getting BFN. I think my body’s just decided to skip this one so I shall keep trying!

Wondering how long to wait before I go to the GP to get some advice? NHS website says to give it a year of trying - is that what people generally do?

Lozzlepop · 29/01/2020 16:49

Happy Hump Day Ladies!!

@whatsthecraic91 awww lovely I hope you have an amazing time with your girls! Is it the dye one? No I did ask if it was a TV scan but nope- I think because I am getting pregnant they are just testing to ensure theres nothing wrong with the shape of my uterus. Ahhh thanks, the boy did well!!

@Lottiepink how long did you have to wait for the results? Or do they only call if something is amis? DF is not looking forward to the SA think he's going to feel the pressure as you get given a time slot in which to drop it in lol! Thank you- I absolutely love it!

@ToCaden sorry to hear it was a BFN, what cycle are you on?

@MIW01 your ring is beautiful 😍Have you started planning yet?

@Anny27 thank you so much.....ahhh ring buddies!! Hmmm not put too much thought into it yet- was thinking maybe April time next year but not sure if I should push it back incase I do get pregnant 😬 I have asked for a couple of brochures for prices as the end of this year could possibly be doable at a push.

@orangeloo I have the HSG booked in for April- not really looking forward to it. has anyone else had one?

@Dippytique, I would deffo consider OPKs or temping for an accurate OV date. I know the general advice is a year of trying but some of the other ladies have mentioned it does depend where you stay and some authorities dont offer any assistance until after 3 years of trying.

Off to London of Friday so only one more day in the office!!!! Hope everyone has had a good day!

Lottiepink · 29/01/2020 19:23

@anny27 yeh af finished in Sunday, strange one as was technically only like 72 hours, I'm usually only 4 days though. You looking forward to the dtd starting again ha?!

@orangeloo great news about the progesterone cream though, shame about the prolactin, least there was the info in here about that though 😊

@Dippytique I was the exact same, I think when you are actively trying, everything changes 🙈 sorry af hasn't arrived or that you haven't got a bfp, is it really unusual for you?

@Lozzlepop a weekend away in London will be nice 😊 especially the day off work haha! And very exciting all the wedding planning. My DH only took 3 days I think but I rang the docs for the results, I think if you leave it to them, it can take a while for them to get back to you. I assumed it couldn't take very long as they obviously have to check them straight away. Aww really a time slot 🙈😂 thankfully we could do it when we wanted, this one was so smooth for us, last time I tried to help but failed, so left him to it this time and he managed no problem, the fact it was the second one and he knew what to expect made it easier to 'produce' I think 😂😂

Dippytique · 29/01/2020 19:47

@Lozzlepop Thanks, I’ve just ordered some OPKs from Amazon so I’m going to track properly. Will be really helpful to have a clear picture of what’s going on. One more day in work sounds bliss- hope you have a lovely weekend!

@Lottiepink Yes, you’re right! We said we wouldn’t try just ‘see what happens’ and this has ended up in actively trying and obsessing. 😂 I think it’s inevitable! It’s unusual for me to be this late with no sign of AF at all- I’m usually a hormonal mess/ have some spotting if I’m even a day or two over, so I always know when it’s arriving. I’m trying to be patient and just see what happens as this isn’t normal for me but I still don’t have a BFP so who knows what’s going on 🤷🏽‍♀️

ToCaden · 29/01/2020 19:54

@Lozzlepop this one was cycle 3. Sounds few when I put it like that, but as I'm using a donor and need to travel for every attempt it seems like it's been going on forever.

@Dippytique I know what you mean about impatient. I'm usually known for my patience but right now I want it to work. Try opks and definitely temp. Fertility friends is a great app to track ovulation. I started using opks on it, but only really got a handle on things when I started temping as well.

@whatsthecraic91 AF is probably about to visit. I've been cramping, but then they disappear and I start to hope. Bfn this morning has dashed most of that hope away. Will wait a few days and retest if no appearance.

Good luck to everyone about to start the process again. Fingers crossed we get some graduates in Feb.

Kiza · 29/01/2020 19:57

Hi Ladies,
Sorry for being so quiet, the return to work and adjusting to winter has been hard!

@Lottiepink @whatsthecraic91 glad the SA went ok and hopefully not too long a wait until his results are in

@Anny27 sorry AF got you, I find some months harder than others, sounds like your more natural plan of DTD sounds great. We're really bad for going at it like rabbits during the fertile window and then not much during the TWW

@Lozzlepop glad you finally had your initial consultation appointment, feels like it was a bloody long time coming!

@MIW01 sorry I've not heard of one of those, I've got to have the Dye thing so not sure if it's similar?

Hi @orangeloo glad to hear you're doing ok. When's your dye test? Mine will be in 2 weeks if No BFP this cycle. It's frustrating that they haven't been able to get to the bottom of your spotting as I remember you talking about it a while back. I'd say do what you need to do, a cream isn't going to harm you too much for a couple of months and may actually help. A lot of this seems trial and error

6dpo and counting... 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Dippytique · 29/01/2020 21:30

@ToCaden Thanks so much for the advice. I’ll definitely start temping and have just downloaded the app. Will do both when my OPKS arrive. Fingers crossed it’s your month. 🤞🏼

Lozzlepop · 30/01/2020 10:50

Morning ladies,

Today is a struggle...so snoozy DF got home late and then snore like a beast- will be glad of the lie in tomorrow!!

@Lottiepink haha I know, realistically most excited about the day off haha! Im not sure if the hospital will call us as its all been arranged through them 🤷🏽‍♀️guess I can ask when we drop them off lol! Yeah thats good, i think DF will feel the anxiety to go especially when theres a time restriction in place. The hospital is a good 25 mins drive away too so theres not much leeway 😬

@ToCaden ah I wasn't aware you were using a doner, do you have to go to a clinic each time? I guess we are now officially month 14 of trying 😒

@Kiza haha I know, tell me about it, its been dragging on since August! I have to have the dye scan too 🙈Mine's not until April (unless theres a cancellation) so you will need to let me know how you get on.

@Dippytique yeah tracking is really useful, especially if you need to have any investigations as you can let the doctor know your cycle patterns. the Fertility Friend app is great! Thanks I am really looking forward to it.

orangeloo · 30/01/2020 19:08

@Lozzlepop my friend said hsg is painful- I'm not bothered about the actual procedure being painful but I think if I'm gonna be uncomfortable afterwards I will take the day off work.

Hey @kiza I don't have a date for dyetest yet, I hope I dont have to wait too long. Thanks to the cream I needed to hear that and may actually up the dose next month if no joy this month so FX for us both.

Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday and today though so guess I spoke too soon 🙄.

ToCaden · 31/01/2020 02:12

Hello guys. Just waiting around here for AF to turn up. Did have a slight temp drop this morning, but also no hints of cramping since Wednesday. Feel like my body is playing around with me as usually my luteal phase doesn't go past 12 days. Tapping my feet impatiently as can't schedule next try until it's arrived.

@Lozzlepop I'm using a private donor. Lovely guy, but need to travel up to London each time which is around 4 to 5 hours from my place to the hotel using bus and underground. Since I only get one shot I need to get the timing right which I managed to do so well last time which is why I'm so disappointed. Even got a picture perfect implantation dip at 5dpo so guessing the bean tried to implant but wasn't successful.

Kiza · 31/01/2020 17:10

@orangeloo no problem, I just think we do what we feel like we have to do. I'm currently on the TWW on cycle 17 and feel like I've exhausted all my options of everything we are doing so just have to try and remain hopeful that one month it's going to be our turn 🤞🏼when is AF due for you?

@ToCaden I know the feeling well! When it gets to that point where you just want to know one way or the other!
Currently 8dpo and soooo tired but think it's more to do with compressing 5 day's into 4 at work and then travelling to Nottingham to see family.
Hope so catch up sleep this weekend sorts me out!

ToCaden · 31/01/2020 19:19

@Kiza hope being so busy keeps your mind off the wait at least, and that you get some wonderful sleep this weekend. I find the two week wait one of the most difficult times because I just want to test already.

AF has me. Relieved as now I get to calculate next attempt.

1990shopefulftm · 31/01/2020 20:19

on CD8 so think I should probably start with the OPk's again tomorrow. been a busy week at work but got a good rota with mostly early shifts for the next couple of weeks which should be good for DTD.

ValidUser · 31/01/2020 21:12

Hello everyone!

Starting IVF in either early or late March (depending on clinic slots for egg retrieval).

OP posts:
orangeloo · 01/02/2020 08:58

@kiza AF is due Wednesday but might be delayed cos of the progesterone. I will test day before to see if i should drop taking it. Although I've already had a bfn on a FRER so I think that's quite conclusive 🙁. These days are the worst, all the time I have hope I'm okay but in the bfn and first AF day it's just so shit. And to top it all off I feel quite poorly today. FX for you it would be great to get a BFP naturally when you tried for so long.

orangeloo · 01/02/2020 08:59

@ValidUser that's great you have a timescale planned. Must feel so good to have a clear plan.
