Hi @Lozzlepop haven't tried OPKs but did temp and my temperature has been elevated since CD28.

It's a waiting game at this point. Feeling calm as stressing will only delay things further and, even if AF arrives all that means is onwards and upwards to cycle 3 - so still very much at the beginning of the journey.

orangeloo · 14/01/2020 18:42

@kiza sorry to hear that. I too thought I was in with a great chance for Decembers cycle as it was my most happy least stressed month all year but It was not to be. Hope you had a lovely holiday though, I'm sure it was much needed.

@whatsthecraic glad your appointment went well!

@Lozzlepop thank you. Sorry things still haven't moved on for you, Thinking of you tomorrow.

Fingers crossed @timswifey that sounds promising.

Natty47 · 14/01/2020 20:38

Hi ladies, can I (belatedly) join this thread? I’ve been lurking for a little while and thinking positive thoughts for you all.

But recently I’ve been worrying about whether I’ll ever be able to achieve baby #1 (I’m on about cycle 8 but in my late 30s) and so would love to share experiences with others. Had been feeling really positive this month but got a BFN this eve. It’s still a bit early for me this month for the result to be conclusive, but it still makes me think, what is the freakin’ point, maybe I’m too old :(

whatsthecraic91 · 14/01/2020 20:55

@Lozzlepop I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow hope all goes well x

@timswifey sounds good as your temp is still up?

@natty47 welcome! have you seen your GP? Late 30s I think they will refer you after 6 months of trying. I went today and they were so helpful!

Natty47 · 15/01/2020 10:07

Hi @whatsthecraic91 - I saw the GP just before Christmas and she suggested two months of DTD every other day throughout the month and if no success she’ll refer me for IVF. So at least I have some next steps in sight!

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 10:36

Morning ladies! 3dpo today and no symptoms yet obviously!

@Lozzlepop what decision are you leaning to at the moment? Neither are a great choice haha but having experiences both j think the surgery was definitley less painful, less worry and quicker. I have to say it was quite an experience going under general anesthetic - I was terrified but afterwards it was quite cool!

@whatsthecraic91 were your temps still up today?

@Natty47 welcome lovely :) that's great they have a plan in place for you!

@timswifey If you dont conceive this cycle I would deff recomend temping so that you know for sure when you ovulated :D

timswifey · 15/01/2020 11:47

Yes I started temping too late this cycle but it's CD40 and temp is still elevated. No sign of AF and I don't feel like it's about to arrive either.

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 11:52

@timswifey how many days have temps been elevated?

timswifey · 15/01/2020 12:39

Chart attached - red line is temp, yellow line is perceived fertility.

whatsthecraic91 · 15/01/2020 12:45

@Anny27 yea it is still high I think but still don’t really know what to make of femometer, flo has confirmed ovulation was on Saturday CD13 🤷🏼‍♀️

@timswifey is your temp staying high not a sign of pregnancy? I have everything crossed for you! When are you going to test again?

TTC First Baby Thread 23
timswifey · 15/01/2020 13:17

@whatsthecraic91 yes if temp stays elevated that's a sign of pregnancy - I was going to wait til Saturday but I'm getting impatient now.

Anny27 · 15/01/2020 13:18

@timswifey judging from that looks like you ovulated on January 3rd so period should be due in 2 days!!

@whatsthecraic91 mmm yeah it's hard to tell on the chart but I reckon you are a few days past ovulation:)

timswifey · 15/01/2020 13:21

Thanks @Anny27 I will hold out til Saturday to test then. Eeek!

whatsthecraic91 · 15/01/2020 16:43

@timswifey I’m sure you are - that’s such a long cycle for you!

@Anny27 thanks, I’m going to assume I’m 4DPO! Testing next Saturday morning the day AF is due 🤞🏼 Who am I kidding I’ll probably start testing well before then 🤣🤣

Lozzlepop · 15/01/2020 17:22

Hi ladies!

How are we all?

@whatsthecraic91 thank you lovely!

@Anny27 I’m still on the fence 😂 I’m apprehensive because the medication was so awful last time and I’ve never had an operation, oh and I also have a fear of hospitals 🙈

@timswifey I have everything crossed for you, about time the thread had another bfp!

@Natty47 hello and welcome to the thread! One of the threads I was on when I got a previous bfp had a Facebook group and one of the ladies there just had her first at 43 so I don’t think you are too old at all, I’ve just turned 36 so with you in the late 30s! That’s great that your gp is so proactive!

Well today has been the toughest day yet- I have cried A LOT! I started to bleed last night and was thrilled (never thought I would say that) but was obviously quite late on so the scan showed no change. They are going to give me until Monday when I have another scan and then Tuesday I have a bed booked in the hospital for either the medical or surgical! I’m really hoping and praying that my body does what it’s supposed to and this can be over with!

Natty47 · 15/01/2020 18:24

Thanks for the warm welcome @Lozzlepop :) I love hearing examples of people having their first at the later end of the fertility range! It’s my 39th soon - eek. Sounds like you are having a horrendous time - I’ll be thinking positive thoughts for you that it gets easier super soon!

whatsthecraic91 · 15/01/2020 19:28

@Lozzlepop so sorry you’re having such a rough time 🥺😘 hopefully it happens naturally and is over for you soon 🤞🏼

timswifey · 16/01/2020 08:45

Oh @Lozzlepop so sorry you are having a rubbish time. I'm sending hugs your way.

How are you feeling today?

Temp was elevated again today - had a few cramps last night but could have been nothing.

Lozzlepop · 16/01/2020 09:10

Morning ladies!

@Natty47 thanks lovely, last year (and these last few weeks) have been a tough ride but we are determined to enjoy this year and make lots of memories whatever may happen!

@whatsthecraic91 thanks lovely 😘

@timswifey thank you ❤️ I’m feeling better in myself today but boy am I looking forward to the weekend! Everything is sounding so positive - I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

MIW01 · 16/01/2020 09:42

So the surgery just called to say my GP has had to write to the Gynae department for more guidance regarding my ultrasound results . . . That does not sound good and how I'm in pieces not knowing what's going on?!

Lozzlepop · 16/01/2020 11:29

@MIW01 are you able to call and speak to the doctor? I wouldn’t panic too much as most doctors won’t be specialised in certain areas and especially when it comes to fertility so they are probably double checking to ensure they give you accurate results! Thinking of you ❤️

MIW01 · 16/01/2020 11:51

Thanks @Lozzlepop typically my GP isn't in again until Monday but I've asked for the duty GP to call which will be after 15:30 today. I'm wondering if I have a suspected blockage?!

MIW01 · 16/01/2020 14:05

Sorry I haven't caught up with everyone's news!

Wishing you the best of luck with IVF @ValidUser a friend of mine is going through it this month as they are using a sperm donor (it's easier and cheaper than adopting - crazy!)

Thank you for the OPK recommendations. Paid £10 for 75 from Amazon so going to do everyday this cycle and take photos so I can learn more about my cycle.

@Kiza sorry to hear AF arrived. I was so disappointed when mine did this cycle.

@Lozzlepop sorry yo hear you're having a rough time. I hope it passes naturally and then you can get on with things.

@timswifey I've heard elevated temps are a good indicator of pregnancy, though mine always stay high until CD2-3?

Well done on the weight loss @@whatsthecraic91 I'm joining you on this as my family booked for us to go to a beach holiday in Rhodes for a week in 16 weeks time! Not that Im counting down or anything.

1990shopefulftm · 16/01/2020 20:12

I know our timings weren't perfect this cycle so not feeling that hopeful that I'm pregnant but still trying to plod on with my knee issues without painkillers at the moment, I have physio tomorrow which will be pretty painful but I m telling myself it's nothing like what it ll be if I get to go through labour.

whatsthecraic91 · 17/01/2020 11:38

@timswifey how’s it going? Any sign of AF? Have you held out to test?

@Lozzlepop hope you’re okay Flowers

@MIW01 did you get speaking to a doctor about your results? Oh lovely!! A holiday is always great motivation 😎 I’ve started slacking a bit, the weather here has been crap and I can’t bring myself to go walking after work in it 😂 I’m still eating well tho so hopefully the scales show me a difference in the morning again!

@1990shopefulftm only takes the once so you never know! 🤞🏼

@Anny27 how’s you doing? Are you crazy symptom spotting - I know I am 🤣

So got my bloods done this morning - with no fainting which is brilliant for me 🤣 I get my results Tuesday afternoon 🤞🏼 6DPO & I just feel really weird like AF is coming I’ve had this since last night, trying not to go crazy googling 😂 happy Friday all 😎
