Morning all! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!! DP is away getting DSS so we are doing Christmas Day all over again today! Thankfully no cooking as I have a mountain of leftovers 😀

@whatsthecraic91 I seem to be getting a very small amount of spotting which hasn't happened before so Afs possibly starting 2 days early.

@Anny27 even though it's never great for us to get AF at least this is now the proper end of that difficult cycle for you and the fresh start of something new

So Christmas SMEP completed and for once I enjoyed it, must've been the absence of work that helped!
Fly to Cape Town tomorrow which will be a great distraction during the TWW and think I may temporarily delete my apps to help me fully take my mind of it so if you don't here much from me I'm still thinking of you ladies but taking a mini break 😄

@1990shopefulftm you have pretty regular periods then, mine are a few days off usually

@Anny27 yes they are which is why I m very confused that I ve had a tiny bit of spotting the past couple of days. Hoping it doesn't mean something is wrong

Well Afs started a day early. Hopefully cycle 2 could be the one.

Second day of pink spotting, I usually do get a bit of spotting a day or 2 before AF but this is earlier than usual 9DPO today 🤞🏼

Ahh sorry AF arrived @1990shopefulftm - compensation of being able to have a drink on NYE I guess! We might be on similar cycles for next month then :) i don't know if my ovulation will be delayed because of my miscarriage so guess we will see

Oh ladies I’m trying not to think about it or get my hopes up!! I have been drinking everyday since Christmas Eve and ate a whole wheel of brie 😅 I’ve made sure I’ve enjoyed myself just incase 😂

Hello, checking in as it's been a while since I've caught up on the thread.

CD22 here but still getting fertile CF so going to keep DTD for now...

I've been re-reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and getting inspired to keep a closer eye on my symptoms rather than just going off my Ovia app.

How are you all doing?

So I caved and tested early, BFN of course. I’m 12DPO so I reckon I’m definitely out. Just waiting for AF. Really thought being on holiday was going to be my lucky charm! Time to make an appointment with the GP 😓 can’t believe it to be honest, it’s been a whole year. I think I’ll just huff with life today and stay in my jammies and Netflix. Not even telling DP, what’s the point!!

Ahh sorry lovely :( @whatsthecraic91 was it January 2019 you started trying then?

Yep definitely wise to see the GP and it might be something really simple that they can help with 🤞🤞🤞

@timswifey ahh yep definitley keep DTD if you are still getting fertile cm :D yeah I dont take notice of when my app says I will ovulate, I just know from my symptoms

I am cycle day 4 and period Is coming to an end so hopefully will be starting SMEP kn a few days :)

@Anny27 yea stopped my pill Christmas Eve 2018! Oh I hope so I’m just so worried something is wrong. I know DP is ok as he has a DS. Good luck with SMEP this month! Might try preseed next cycle as it’s the only thing we haven’t tried

can anybody recommend a free tracking app? Ordered some cheap opks to try after af is over.

We use tiny bit of pressed each time -cant hurt :D @whatsthecraic91

@1990shopefulftm I use clue and femometer (femometer helps determine whether an OPK is positive or not- you take a picture and it tells you:) )

Thank you everyone for your congratulations! It's pretty overwhelming but in a good way of course. We just keep doing cheesy things like saying to each other, "Good morning/night . . . Fiance!" All silly but so much fun! It's so exciting!

I have my GP appointment booked for the 14th! I’m hoping they offer me the 21 day test! I ovulate different every month ranging from CD14-17 so what day would I get the test?

@whatsthecraic91 sorry about your bfn I'm 10DPO and tested this morn also bfn I was so hopeful. I know it's still early but it was an early test and the cynic in me says it's been a year why is this month going to be any different. I'm so fed up too and I feel your frustration. Great you've got an appointment booked. You should get the blood test 7 days after you ovulate. A lot of gp's just say say day 21 regardless but result will be useless if not done at the right time. You know better than them when you ovulate so book the 21 day blood test accordingly.

Welcome @cocobell19 it's Not silly at all, we all hope and expect to fall pg quickly I think and why wouldn't we. when so many do and we are brainwashed for years about contraception. Keep going and distractions are a great ttc survival tool.

@cocobell19 welcome! The more the merrier!! Not one bit silly, it’s drilled into us from a young age that if you even think about having sex you will get pregnant! I will never use a form of hormonal contraception again in my life they are evil!

@orangeloo so sorry, I also thought cycle 12 would be it because it’s cycle 12!! It’s still early so I’ll keep everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼 My GP appointment will be on CD16 so hopefully I can get the test this month and won’t have to wait!

I have decided to try temping this month as DP isn’t keen on the preseed idea 👎🏼 I’ve downloaded Femometer FYI it is on special offer for £28 for a one year subscription & I have ordered the Bluetooth thermometer which will be here tomorrow! It will be interesting to see if it confirms if I am ovulating or not. Sat and put 1 year of data into it the app - can you tell work is quiet 😂

Any other tempers out there?
