Morning all!

I’ve been AWOL this week! Getting work and Christmas sorted out! Our flight is this afternoon and I’m currently in the bath shaving my entire body 😂 hasn’t been done since summer 🤣

Totally switching off this week to enjoy the sun and peace 😎☀️

I’ll see you all next week for the 2WW 😅

Have a great week all 😊

1990shopefulftm · 15/12/2019 10:12

thinking of testing on christmas day, it'll be 4/5 days before AF but i've got a lot of cheapy americian tests, 30 for £5 off amazon so not much of a waste if its negative.

Lozzlepop · 15/12/2019 10:54

@whatsthecraic91 hope you have an amazing holiday! Enjoy the sun sea and sangria, hope you have a lovely restful week 😘

Well ladies I feel that today is a milestone day- I am 6 weeks so I am feeling hopeful to say the least! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Kiza · 15/12/2019 13:50

@Lozzlepop that's great news, lovely to hear you're feeling better and more confident in your pregnancy ☺️

@whatsthecraic91 not sure if you'll see this now but hope you have a fab holiday!

@1990shopefulftm wow that is a bargain and a half! How lovely would it be for a BFP on Christmas Day. I'm due to O on Christmas Day so complete opposite end of the cycle as you.

@MIW01 love the sound of your nutrition plan, there's so much emerging research now about our gut microbiome

Met with a hypnotherapist yesterday morning to discuss potential conception hypnotherapy and may try it in feb when we return from holiday. She's also a hypnobirthing therapist which I love the sound of for pregnancy and Labour.

1990shopefulftm · 15/12/2019 13:59

@Kiza I know figured it might take time to conceive so thought it was worth it. They're supposed to be sensitive enough to possibly pick up a pregnancy 5 days before AF but will see.

MIW01 · 16/12/2019 08:54

@Lozzlepop I'm so pleased that this is looking like it's going to be a sticky one!

I'm ovulating just after Christmas this year and it's just us for the first time in the 8 years we've been together so I'm hoping this is a sign for baby making time! That's how a huge majority of my family were conceived (September birthdays - including me) what's another one! If not, I have my scan scheduled for the 8th January.

orangeloo · 16/12/2019 15:22

@Anny27 definitely worth a shot yes

@MIW01 I feel I might be Estrogen dominant anyway. So just want to try the progesterone phase first and see how I get on but I get what your saying completely.

@Lozzlepop seed cycling is eating certain seeds at certain times in your cycle to help the right hormones. Glad your day at home helped and all is seeming more positive!

@whatsthecraic91 have a fab holiday!

Lozzlepop · 16/12/2019 16:07

Hi all!

@Kiza thank you, I am taking things day by day, will call EPU later this week and get my early scan scheduled and then get on to calling about my booking appointment, hopefully I can get a lot of stuff ticked off over the holidays. Ooh that all sounds really positive, my friend in Australia done Hypno-birthing and really recommended it- not sure we have that in Fife 😂

@MIW01 oooh that does sound promising, it will just be lovely to be the 2 of you after so many busy years!

@orangeloo ahhhh ok thats really interesting, I have never heard that before!

Well I feel awful about having to lie to so many people today 🙈pretty much everyone who knew that our appointment was today has been in touch to wish me good luck and also ask how we got on 😬I am such a bad liar so feel awful but glad it was all over whatsapp haha!

I hope everyone has had a good Monday?

Kiza · 16/12/2019 16:34

@Lozzlepop that's lovely that you have so many people remember and message you. I've felt a tad disappointed by friends and family by their lack of support, luckily my sister and partner are great.
I think you may have hypnobirthing in Fife, I used to live in Aberdeen and found 2 people there (optimistic I was going to fall pregnant immediately before I moved back to England 😄) and pretty sure my friend in Fife said she heard of someone. Think in places like those you have to search quite a bit

MIW01 · 16/12/2019 21:00

Hello everyone! Gosh, where do I start with this . . .
Just got off the phone with 111 GP who thinks I've had a miscarriage even though test says BFN.

Earlier this evening I had awful lower abdominal pain on my left hand size and pressure pain in my rectum- feel like I needed a massive poo but nothing there! So severe I called 111. At this time no bleeding so dismissed as IBS.

(TMI ALERT): Half an hour later I felt something drop out of my vagina, I mean literally a mass plop our of it! Flooded my pants and trousers. It was a mass that was a mixture of bright red blood, dark clotted blood and a lot of tissue!

I noticed that my period was a lots heavier and more painful and symptomatic this month. Noticeably more than usual!

After all this I took another pregnancy test which was BFN. So called 111 again and talked it through and she think my hornone profile is so low that the pregnancy didn't even register which is why I had a miscarriage.

Kiza · 16/12/2019 21:36

@MIW01 oh my gosh, how are you feeling about all of this?

MIW01 · 16/12/2019 22:07

Thanks for asking @Kiza on the 1 hand I feel really sad to have lost a pregnancy, on the other hand the positive is it means we can conceive but I'm really confused and still anxious that I've never had a BFP!

orangeloo · 17/12/2019 01:03

@MIW01 I had something similar many many years ago. Bled and bled then Biggest huge huge clot. Bigger than my fist. Went to the docs and tested and nothing, no pregnancy detected but I don't see what else a clot like that could have been. Hope you are feeling okay.

Kiza · 17/12/2019 07:41

@MIW01 so sorry to hear this, I wonder if it is classed as a chemical pregnancy and perhaps only lasted very briefly therefore not enough hcg to be able to detect as it was still so early on?

MIW01 · 17/12/2019 08:38

Sorry to hear you've also experienced this @orangeloo it was awful! I was in so much pain and discomfort and still feeling delicate. It's just so confusing that I haven't had a BFP!

I think you're right @Kiza but I'm worried that if this is indeed a miscarriage if there's no HCG detected they wont record it as a miscarriage and what if I keep getting this and they miss something!

I wrote an email to my GP today explaining what happened so she can update my medical records and advise me whether I need to make an appointment.

orangeloo · 17/12/2019 09:11

@MIW01 I understand your fears completely as I would think the same but there's nothing to say this would happen again for sure. you will drive yourself crazy with what ifs. That's the best thing you could do,which you've done, writing to the doc so they have it on record.

Lozzlepop · 17/12/2019 10:34

@Kiza it has been really nice, just feel awful making stuff up 🙈I'm sorry your friends and family have let you down, but your sis and her partner sound like gems! Oh really, fantastic - to be honest I have not really searched, I just know that we don't offer as much as places down south do. Will see hoe we go before looking into things to much.

@MIW01 oh hun I am so so sorry to hear this, how are you doing today? Have they suggested to go in and get checked out? I hope you are ok, sending lots of love your way!

MIW01 · 17/12/2019 16:20

Thank you @Kiza @orangeloo and @lozzlepop for your empathy. I am feeling OK today. A bit sad an anxious but I think because I haven't had a BFP I haven't really connected it to losing a baby and more just a horrible experience. No word from the surgery so I'm assuming they don't need to see me.

Hope you are getting the support you need @Kiza

I hope everything is still tickety boo for you @Lozzlepop? How was the appointment?

orangeloo · 18/12/2019 10:22

Hope your doing okay @MIW01 I would maybe just contact them if your bleeding goes on for a long time.

had my gynae appointment yesterday. I'm having another tv scan and will have a tubal patency test as that's really the last piece of the puzzle. She was not concerned about spotting at all and said that would not stop me getting pregnant. If my progesterone has tested fine then I shouldn't worry. It has put my mind at rest mostly but think I'll still have a niggling doubt and I will do until I manage to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy. But it's good need for now at least. Got blood test tomorrow, hope my tsh has cone down as I really think this is what has stopped me conceiving. Fingers crossed. Hope you all have a good day.

Kiza · 18/12/2019 19:16

@orangeloo glad she has reassured you for the spotting a bit, is the tubal test the hsg dye thing in your Fallopian tubes?

@MIW01 hope you're feeling a bit better today about it all. Take it easy on yourself.

@ValidUser how are you? Haven't heard from you in a while?

orangeloo · 19/12/2019 08:25

@Kiza I believe it's hsg dye yes, I hope so anyway as you are more likely to conceive after having one of these.

Kiza · 19/12/2019 08:28

@orangeloo that's what our consultant said to us also. Looks like you and I are having similar tests at the moment although I'm going to have to wait till feb for my hsg dye test as I'll be on holiday when my next AF is due

orangeloo · 19/12/2019 08:38

@Kiza could be feb for me too by the time I get a date through. FX neither of us end up needing it.

MIW01 · 19/12/2019 17:29

Thank you for checking in @orangeloo and @Kiza bleeding has cleared up. Just spotting I just feel absolutely knackered! Brain fog etc. I'm wondering if anything will show on my TV scan.

Hope you're results come back OK @orangeloo it sounds good news to me if there's no reason for not conceiving you know it will happen for you one day!

Anny27 · 19/12/2019 18:20

Hey ladies! Been a bit silent from my end - very busy with Christmas haha!

I had to go back to the EPU for another HCG bloodtest as STILL (5 weeks after surgery) getting faint positives on FRERS. They must be soo sensitive as my hcg blood level last week was 8....and the EPU counts anything under 10 as negative. They aren't concerned atall really but want to monitor the hcg dropping.

@Lozzlepop I am so glad you have reached your 6 week milestone ❤ will you get an early scan do you think?

@whatsthecraic91 hope you are having a relaxing time!! :D

@1990shopefulftm might be a lovely Christmas present to you! Personally I would probably avoid testing on Christmas day just incase its negative I would be sad but if you can still enjoy the day even if it's a negative then go for it :D

@Kiza hypnotherapy sounds really interesting - is it to aid relaxation?

@orangeloo how did your bloodtest go and when are your next sets of tests?

@MIW01 sorry to hear that you think you might have had an early miscarriage! I have never experienced any kind of intense clots and tissue from a period so it definitley doesn't sound like just a period! But strange for it to not have picked up on a pregnancy test. Can you get a blood test to see if there is hcg? As that will hopefully confirm what happened.

Must be a confusing time with feeling sad but also feeling hopeful at the same time xxxx
