Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

@Nic555 thanks!

This is how crazy paranoid I am....CD 19 and still flashing smiley so I have ordered the CB digitial pink that only shows LH surge to see if I get anything on that....

MrsTwentySeven · 19/11/2019 07:34

@Jh2019 I hope so - as my crazy is getting worse haha

Good luck with SMEP!

whatsthecraic91 · 19/11/2019 08:20

@mrstwentyseven I hate when you think oh I’ll definitely get my static tomorrow then you get another flashy 😤 so annoying 😫 how many flashy days have you had now?

Officially 1DPO, let the crazy symptom spotting commence 🤣 should be completing SMEP tonight but don’t think I have the energy 😅

timswifey · 19/11/2019 09:01

@Sunshinexx95 it wouldn't surprise me if fever makes it harder to conceive - if your body temperature is high that's going to mess with things. Hope you get a lovely BFP for Christmas.

Welcome @Shuckle enjoy your 2WW 😅 where are you on holiday?

@AliSxo gosh you must be exhausted well done! Hubby and I managed to DTD for the first time this month last night and that was CD15.

@whatsthecraic91 happy symptom spotting! I'm not too far behind you I think, although I'm not tracking when I ovulate yet so am still guessing at this point.

Morning ladies!

ceebee21 · 19/11/2019 09:42

3 DPO here... already dragging.

I think I will be testing at about 10 or 11DPO.

Hope everyone else is doing ok

xx

Another flashing smiley for me today.. AF predicts ovulation today so we'll see how my CM is.. I've got 3 digital tests left so that lasts me til Friday so hopefully I get my static smiley soon xx

whatsthecraic91 · 19/11/2019 10:22

@timswifey thanks just hope I don’t drive myself crazy again this month 😫

Shuckle · 19/11/2019 11:02

@timswifey thanks! Grin Lanzarote, beautiful weather here, lots of strutting around in a bikini trying to be irresistible for DTD haha!

Mentioned some weird pains and DH told me off gently reminded me that I shouldn't try to symptom spot too hard as I'm just setting myself up for a bigger disappointment - how have you ladies managed your expectations previously? First cycle all seems very exciting and when the odds are as good as they ever will be, it's hard not to get excited! I am worried that if I get AF and am really upset they DH will be more stressed/less inclined to keep trying as he doesn't want to keep upsetting me. I feel like waiting should be an exciting time though! Very conflicted xx

Laura320 · 19/11/2019 11:15

New here but thought I'd join and get in on some discussions 😊

We already have 2 children. And we've decided we would like number 3.

Currently using copper coil but getting removed hopefully this week!

Hope I'm OK to join this thread haven't used this before 😬

Xx

AliSxo · 19/11/2019 11:28

@Laura320 hey!! I had a copper coil removed years ago to go on the pill instead and they remove it so easily and quickly is painless xx we're all roughly ovulating soon so fingers crossed we all get our BFPs soon! Xx

timswifey · 19/11/2019 11:48

Ahh @Shuckle I was in Lanzarote last month for my honeymoon it was SO gorgeous. Is it still warm?

Welcome @Laura320 🥰 I used to have the mirena coil and felt so much better after having it removed.

whatsthecraic91 · 19/11/2019 12:27

@Shuckle I’m heading to Lanzarote for a week the week before Christmas, hoping by then I’ll have my BFP and we can relax in the sun! Hope you’re both having a great time ☀️

Shuckle · 19/11/2019 12:29

@timswifey it's absolutely lovely still, not a cloud in the sky and 24 degrees at the moment Grin

@Laura320 welcome! I've never had the coil, but coming off the pill felt great last year, so good to know that what my body is doing is natural rather than artificially generated! Lots of luck to you, hope you have a nice clear cycle straight away. Did you have many symptoms or signs with your first two? X

Shuckle · 19/11/2019 12:32

@whatsthecraic91 ahh lovely, I'll tell the sun to stay til you get here 😂

BFP before Christmas would be amazing, I know I can't really complain if I don't get one on my first cycle but would still be nice to be not knocking back the bucks fizz at Christmas after a BFP rather than just TTC still Grin x

Mrs2018 · 19/11/2019 13:15

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome 😊 number 1 wasn't planned and I had next to no symptoms, only realised I was pregnant with her as I struggled with my work out (when I used to go to the gym) 😬 number 2 was planned and sickness hit me Straight away!
I've had the coil in for around 5 years so I'm excited to give my body a break and also start trying for number 3 😊 I have my appointment tomorrow but they said it's a pre assessment for removal so I'm unsure if it's actually getting removed or not!

Wishing so much luck for you all 🤞 xxx

Jh2019 · 19/11/2019 13:17

@whatsthecraic91 happy symptom spotting! Right here with you on 1 DPO and also exhausted haha...and DH is like surely we’ve done it enough times by now?! He’s been really good though, gone from not being overly sold on the baby idea to throwing himself in pretty quickly so can’t complain!

@shuckle very jealous, Lanzarote sounds fab, especially compared to the zero degrees we have here...enjoy! And good for you being excited, no harm in that as long as you keep the stats in mind and accept it might not happen first time. I did find it really hard when AF arrived last month, but trying to manage it just by keeping busy and reading others stories, which helps me to realise I’m definitely not alone and it will happen eventually Smile

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 13:24

Hi all mind if I jump in?

I’m new on Mums Net however been TTC since May this year and still no joy.

I usually have 28-30 day cycles last month I started using clear blue digital ovulation kits. Got my peak on CD16 with 4 highs before that. This month I got 9 flashing smileys - by this point I was sick of that flashing smiley mocking me every morning! So I gave up and thought about writing this month off.

I went for an ultrasound scan on Saturday more of a check up really as I had lots of cysts on my ovaries Jan 2018. The sonographer said you need to get home quick and DTD you have a dominant follicle that is about to rupture.

So now I’m currently 2 DPO and in the dreaded 2WW.

Any advice on how to not symptom spot?

Shuckle · 19/11/2019 13:52

@Jh2019 thanks, that's really helpful! I'm going to try and channel my constant monologue of symptom spotting here rather than to DH as I know he will very quickly get bored of me!

@Bella330 welcome and good luck, having the sonographer tell you that sounds really promising! If you find any good techniques for not spotting too much let me know as I know I'm going to drive myself mad. One thing I have been doing so far is whenever I have a "symptom", I think of at least two other possible causes. For example, I woke up this morning with a little rash on my stomach and immediately went into excitement overload. So I thought "okay, well it could be caused by my holiday wristband if I slept with my arm on my tummy last night. Also as I am sunbathing, it could just be a weird little patch of sunburn!" I'm still hopeful and optimistic, but thinking of other causes of things helps bring me back down to reality a little bit ☀️

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 14:00

Thank you. I was petrified I wasn’t ovulating!
OH and I sent the kids off to grandparents for the night! We have 2 girls and 1 boy from previous relationship.... we found out we were expecting (unplanned) in Feb 2018 however I MC at 8 weeks and now we want to try.

Where are you in your cycle Shuckle?

Talcott2007 · 19/11/2019 14:15

Hi All - Checking In - Somewhat new to the Conception Boards.
Currently TTC No.2
Age 33
1 DD3.5yrs
Cycle 2 TTC
Cycle length 27-29 days
AF due w/e 6th December

Technically this is the first time with have actually TTC as DD was the result of 2 methods of contraception failing!
DH was convinced it would just happen magically again instantly like last time - even more so because we are actually TTC this time so he was really gutted it didn't happen on cycle 1.
I'm a lot more realistic about how long it might take - part of me actually thinks that because DD was a such a miracle who beats massive odds to get conceived in the first place that we have kind of used up all our baby making luck.

Bella330 · 19/11/2019 14:26

Hi Talcott.

I’m sure that’s not the case. I’m currently on cycle 6 and it’s driving me insane now!

Where are you in this current cycle?

ceebee21 · 19/11/2019 14:51

welcome @Bella330 - must be so good to know that the sonographer could see that!

I had a MMC in September and had my first AF since at the beginning of this month... now 3DPO and the 2WW struggle is real!!

OP posts:
Bella330 · 19/11/2019 15:15

Yes I was so shocked!! 9 days of flashing smileys I was convinced that’s it my body no longer works! CD21 though?! Seems so far into the cycle.

Have you started symptom spotting yet? I keep getting an odd twinge and I think oh what could this be?!

Sending myself crazy already! 😂

Nic555 · 19/11/2019 15:44

Aw lots of messages to catch up on and lots of new names. Welcome and good luck to everyone

My CB stick didn't work this morning kept coming up with an error so annoying. So I now have an hour and twenty minutes to last without going to the toilet so I can test again 🙈 I really should have DTD last night but I am so fed up of scheduled sex I thought sod it. What will be will be. I'll probably regret it during the TWW but hey ho. Only takes one sperm and won't be as disappointed if I don't get my positive.

@MrsTwentySeven I think once u have your flashy they work the same way as the pink strips anyway 🙈 but handy to have them to test twice a day.

@AliSxo sounds like you've given yourself every chance. I hope you ovulate soon before you're exhausted 😂 are you still testing twice a day?

Xx

Talcott2007 · 19/11/2019 15:53

@Bella330 - I've been using a app to track AF for a few months before we started actually TTC last month - According to that I'm due to ovulate this Friday but today marks the start of the 'window'
Not quite got my head around the more scientific approach yet that lots of others seem to be taking - tracking temperatures or doing ovulation tests. Just hoping that DTD regularly through the month and especially in the 'window' will do the trick!

It's remarkable how quick TTC starts to consume your every thought though!!
