Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

@Nic555 thank you and fingers crossed 😁

ceebee21 · 05/11/2019 08:59

Yeah I bought some off of Ebay... but on Amazon the larger kit was slightly cheaper on that day, so got that!

In all honestly I have no idea what my cycles are like as havent had a normal AF in so long due to implant, although when I fell pregnant, I OV exactly two weeks after my implant was removed, so going to go with fairly regular 28 days. Just looked and CB says to start on Saturday 9th for me... so may start with a few cheapies and defo only use one CB a day x

I'm going to start testing on CD10 also as I am unsure of my cycle length now. Past few months have been a bit all over the place. I'm sticking with internet cheapies this time as CB are a fortune and I always seem to use lots of they sticks! Wishing us all luck for this cycle 🤞

blackpinkinyourarea · 05/11/2019 12:57

Hi, I will join you all! AF has arrived 5days early for me, but it explains my colossal temp crash this morning..

Age 29
Cycle 3 (Oh how i thought id get upduffed straight away and be nearly 4months gone by christmas!! hahahaha)
CD 1
TTC #1
BFP/AF - will say December 1st! Not entirely sure as my last cycle was only 24 days, its usually closer to 29.

waitingformyturn · 05/11/2019 13:59

I usually start testing around CD8 as one month Ov'd freakishly early and missed it. Going to start DTD from CD10 though. Af is SO light this month! Only slightly more than practically spotting. The last few months I've convinced myself it's IB but I know this is just how my af is now. If I'm not pg by the end of the year I'll be booking to see the GP in the new year as that will be into the 12th cycle. Although will they only count it if it's 12 cycles since my mc?

ceebee21 · 06/11/2019 09:29

I think I may start CD 10, which I think is Monday.

This process really makes me feel like I am wishing my life away - all I think about is when I can next test and try - it is strange!

@ceebee21 I can relate to this so much. This year has flown by and each month all I am thinking about is time until SMEP starts, time until ov, 2ww etc. I'm in my own bubble and I'm not taking the rest of my life in. Months, weeks and days are blurred. It's not good but I don't know how to stop the bus and get off.

ceebee21 · 06/11/2019 11:58

@waitingformyturn I think it is worse because there really is only a few days in which you can conceive.

I naeively thought you could get pregnant at any point in your cycle haha, then when you actually start trying and look into it, it's so untrue.

We all just focus on the days we can, and not missing those days that we just don't think about anything else.

I went to a wedding on Friday and in a way was glad the test was negative just so I didn't have to think about what if I am pregnant, should I be drinking, shouldn't I etc.

It is only 4 months since implant removal but so much has happened in that time I feel like we have been trying for years.

@ceebee21 have your cycles been different lengths since coming off the implant? I had a 29 day cycle followed by a 24 day cycle. Really screwing up my apps as i have to keep adjusting everything!

waitingformyturn · 06/11/2019 13:01

@ceebee21 yes I was saying to DH how lied to I feel before TTC that you can get pregnant anytime. It gave me such false expectations and has set me up for disappointment tbh.

ceebee21 · 06/11/2019 13:05

@blackpinkinyourarea well, I fell pregnant straight away with it, as in 4 weeks after removal I had a BFP. I then had a MMC, followed by ERPC on 1st October and AF arrived 2nd November... so this will actually be my first proper cycle!!

Very strange tbh

Hey everyone, I'm moving over from the Nov bus. I recognise a few names here so good to see you all again.

I had my peak LH surge on Saturday (2nd Nov) but this morning AF has turned up. Mixed feelings tbh, it's my first period in over 5 years after the implant, but I'm also a bit deflated with it turning up so soon after finally getting a peak LH, I'm not sure what to think of it.

Feeling a bit naff but at least I can actually consider myself on CD1 for the first time (rather than 4DPO 😩) so on to the next cycle. I'm using Ovia which I think is great so I now have a predicted fertility window. So that's good.

Hope you're all feeling well x

AliSxo · 07/11/2019 10:51

Hi I'll join please!! I'm cd1 and going to follow the smep with ovulation testing on IC's as I'm not sure how the clear blue smileys work!! Sending us all baby dust xxxxxx

timswifey · 07/11/2019 12:35

May I join?

I'm 30 (turning 31 next week), TTC baby #1 and in cycle 1 of trying so right at the beginning of our journey.

Just come off the pill and currently on day 4 of withdrawal bleed - I guess I can call that CD4. Lots of headaches this time, which is annoying!

Not expecting anything this month due to just coming off the pill but as my husband says we can start practising lol!

Using Ovia to track periods and symptoms, haven't tried OPKs before.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a BFP by Christmas?!

whatsthecraic91 · 07/11/2019 12:45

Hello to the newbies 👋🏼

CD5 and AF is finally gone so time to get started! We are going to start SMEP tonight hopefully but I’m not due to ovulate until 19th Nov which is quite a while away 😓 going to start my CB OPKs on the 14th CD12 as I only have 7 sticks left and usually get my peak on CD17 so don’t want to miss it! It’s going to be intense I think!!

AliSxo · 07/11/2019 12:47

Hey @timswifey I'm CD1 today - came off the pill in August - had a miscarriage in early october was 5 weeks and this is the first period since. I can't wait for my BFP, I really hope I catch this month!! Xx

ceebee21 · 07/11/2019 15:13

Welcome everyone.

I am CD6, going to start using my CB digital on Monday, which will be CD10. Pretty sure I ovulate around CD14/15, but since the MMC I have no idea, so will see.

Fingers crossed we get some BFP... like everyone else I would love one before Christmas - what a great way to start the New Year.

AliSxo · 07/11/2019 15:25

Hey @ceebee21 would you recommend the digital OPKS? I've no idea how to use them xx

ceebee21 · 07/11/2019 15:32

@AliSxo Hiya, yes definitely.

Tbh, I have only used them twice as only had my implant removed in July, however I did fall pregnant straight away using them!!

I use IC as well, but during that first month they didn't really show a strong positive.

With the advanced digital which is what I have (purple sticks), you start testing according to the leaflet... normally around CD 9 for a 28 day cycle, and normally you will get a Static Circle meaning you are in lowest fertile stage... you test each day as per the cheapies, and when it detects an estrogen rise it will start showing a flashing smiley, which they define as High Fertility stage... it is usually a few days before ovulation. You still keep testing at this stage and a few days later when it detects your LH surge, you will get a static smiley and that will stay there for 48 hours, during which time you should ovulate.

I just find them useful - as soon as you get that flashing smiley you know OV is not too far away... but with the IC I just didn't have a clue.

Most people get 3/4 days of flashing smileys then the static

@AliSxo I agree with ceebee21, I really like the digital tests! I’ve only used once so far, the same advanced digital one, but found it really easy to understand and helps to know exactly what point you’re at and when to expect ovulation. Expensive but worth it I think...well that’s what I’m saying now when I’m only on the second one anyway Wink Here’s hoping we’re all lucky this month!

MrsTwentySeven · 07/11/2019 19:21

CD7 and thinking about it 24/7 like some of you ladies
I hope this is the month for us!!
I’m going to start using the Clear blue advanced from Sunday ....I’ve read that DTD every other day is ideal ? Hmm

whatsthecraic91 · 07/11/2019 19:32

@mrstwentyseven read about SMEP, every other day from CD8 then 3 days in a row from positive OPK/static smiley then skip a day then one more time for luck Wink

MrsTwentySeven · 07/11/2019 19:34

@whatsthecraic91 Oooh I will do - thank you!!

whatsthecraic91 · 07/11/2019 19:38

@mrstwentyseven this is our first time trying it - hopefully we don’t run out of steam before the end 😂

MrsTwentySeven · 07/11/2019 19:52

That is what I’m worried about too as I think I’m due to ovulate CD18 according to my Clue app...
I may do a modified SMEP plan and start ‘trying’ CD 11 Grin hehe
