Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

Hi @Hitherebaby - Welcome! Wanted to specifically say Hi as weirdly we have the exactly the same bio stats - age, cycle #2, cycle length, due AF/BFP due on 6th etc! Keeping my fingers crossed for luck for both of us this month!

Shuckle · 25/11/2019 10:32

I've been thinking of school glue as white and creamy more like PVA - only because Ovia has a picture of a bottle of PVA glue 😂 it does say "creamy/sticky" though so could be either!

dublino · 25/11/2019 10:45

Hi ladies

Mind if I join. AF arrived yesterday .

36
Ttc year and half now
Have pcos and currently on metformin and clomid.
Had mc back in april
If no luck this cycle I'll be back to the doc for more options

Have very irregular periods so not exactly sure when next period is due

AliSxo · 25/11/2019 14:24

I've got a wisdom tooth infection, been prescribed metronidazole which isn't recommend in pregnancy but isn't banned either, nhs website says it causes generally safe but I can't have amoxicillin as I'm allergic!! According to the dentist the benefits outweigh the low risk it may pose if I am pregnant as I'm on a low dosage, also I was considering not taking them but think the worry is if I don't take them the infection will spread and then I'm in a world of doo-doo!! 4DPO today, only on a 5 day course so I'll have finished them on Friday when I'm 8DPO xxxx

Hi ladies!

Hopping on if you don't mind! Smile This is our first cycle TTC #1 and I'm DPO 6/7, depending on which app I believe lol.

AF due Dec. 3 and I'm pretty regular with maybe a 12-24 hour deviation month to month. Was on BC between for 10 years and this is my first year without, so basically getting to know what my body does naturally for the first time ever.

My husband was also diagnosed with testicular cancer last December and had one testicle removed/one round of chemo, so we're hoping we can do things as naturally as possible.

Lots of love and luck to all you guys!

HugeAgeGap · 25/11/2019 16:01

@CooperLooper I interpret the cm glue as prit stick rather than pva Grin

CooperLooper · 25/11/2019 18:10

@HugeAgeGap do you! I'd always considered it PVA glue so who knows.

Looks like the other day must've been my almost peak because my OPKs now have gone really faint x

9 DPO currently - anybody else experiencing so many symptoms, like sore breasts, constant cramps and fatigue and really watery CM (tmi) since yesterday? Obviously couldn’t stop myself and tested today - BFN 😏 Don’t have any more tests at home so won’t be testing until at least Thursday

Blooft · 25/11/2019 21:02

@AliSxo I'm an ICU and believe me a dental infection poses much more of a risk to a potential pregnancy than metronidazole. In terms of safety in pregnancy it's a class B which means all the available evidence suggests that it's perfectly safe, but proper controlled drugs trials haven't been done because it's unethical and therefore illegal to test drugs on pregnant women. Plenty of women have taken it though, with no ill effects. If you are pregnant you will almost certainly be fine 🙂
Hope your infection clears up quickly! Sounds painful.

Blooft · 25/11/2019 21:03

The above was meant to read "icu nurse".

Plaw · 25/11/2019 21:14

Hi all,

I’ve missed loads of this thread, I stopped getting the email noticifications. This is cycle 2 for us and I just promised myself not to be as obsessive this month. It was all I was thinking of last cycle. I’ve long cycles so according to my app, I’m due to ovulate on 2 days. However this is my opk tonight. It came up quite quick and it’s the darkest I’ve seen this month! Does this look positive to you all?

Gonna catch up on the rest of the thread now. I know I’m probably a bit behind you all in terms of ov!

Blooft · 25/11/2019 21:32

@Plaw yes definitely positive! Crack on! 💚

Shuckle · 25/11/2019 21:36

Welcome @dublino and @cerios156!

@Plaw, that looks pretty dark to me, for me personally I would expect a slightly darker one tomorrow that's as dark as the control line but that might be what a peak looks like for you, if that makes sense. Did you get one any darker last cycle?

@oliwc12 oh lawdy, I am 9dpo and oh the symptoms. Driving me mad. Sore boobs/hot nipples for last two days, awful metallic taste this morning (had to throw my coffee away it was gross, same with a cup of tea, and my breakfast), cramps, yellowy creamy CM, backache.. I hope this is going to be a BFP otherwise I've been through the wars this cycle! Haven't tested at all yet x

HugeAgeGap · 25/11/2019 21:49

Hi @Plaw I recommend trying the premom app, you take a photo of the opk and it tells u how high/low it is, you can do it with any retrospective ones u have as a comparison etc. x

Sunshinexx95 · 25/11/2019 21:51

@Plaw
Hi!!
This is definitely positive!!!! U will probably ovulate tomorrow or the day after tomorrow! So time for DTD hehehe

Plaw · 25/11/2019 22:28

Thanks all! Oh got all excited there as I did think it was positive too!

I checked the premom app and it says ‘low’ so it’s not detecting a positive.

@HugeAgeGap thanks a mil for that though, without that app I would have been sure it was positive!

Nic555 · 25/11/2019 22:41

@plaw im sure when u download the premom app it said it takes a whole cycle to work out what's high for you so I wouldn't take what it says as gospel. An OPK that dark would be positive for me xx

HugeAgeGap · 25/11/2019 22:45

@Plaw have u put a few on there to look at a comparison? My phones on a dull setting for night at the mo but ur stick did look quite dark but not as dark as control line, it should ideally be darker than control line. The premom got mine right, and charted higher n higher until it caught the high one which I could tell was deffo positive as it was darker. Mine said 0.61 the day before I got the 1.04 which it classes as high. Hope that helps! I think your very close it's worth dtd now so as not to miss the opportunity!

Plaw · 25/11/2019 23:01

@Nic555 thanks Nic, one thing I noticed was it came up quite quick too, more so than normal so I’m taking it as a good sign.

@Shuckle Thanks! I didn’t really get the hang of the opks in my first cycle, I only got a 5 pack so never got a very dark line so I don’t think I calculated it properly. So I’m still a novice at this!

@HugeAgeGap I’ve put in a few of my older ones and got scores of 0.17 on the ones with barely any line on them and tonight’s one was 0.72. Oh don’t worry, the deed was done as soon as Ds went to bed and I saw the dark line! Haha sorry huge tmi there!!!😂

AliSxo · 26/11/2019 00:02

Thank you so much @Blooft your comment has really made me feel so much better!! ❤️ xx

oliwc12 · 26/11/2019 07:57

@Shuckle I admire your patience and will power not having to test yet! Baby dust to you, sounds like you have ALL the pregnancy symptoms. I didn’t experience any metallic taste but heard it’s such a good predictor of pregnancy. When are you going to test? Baby dust to you xx

croissantmonster · 26/11/2019 08:12

Hi! Please can I jump aboard?
I’m ~4dpo (using an app), AF due 7th Dec, cycle #4.

I’ve given up with symptom spotting, I think I’m too susceptible to suggestion as I can really convince myself each month and then get the biggest BFN. I started off very excited, last month tried to pretty much ignore it all, dtd as much as possible, but still gutted every time it’s a no.

Anyone got any good advice on feeling ugh about it all? I just feel grumpy, on edge and sick of it already (please know I do NOT want to feel this way, would love to be chilled about it etc). My husband is very relaxed about it, when it happens, it happens. I’ve told 2 friends we’re ttc and been told I will stop pregnancy happening if I want it too much 🙈 and that I shouldn’t feel this way 😑

Sorry for the waffling on, my head isn’t in the most positive place but I’m working on it. Good luck to everyone! 🌱

whatsthecraic91 · 26/11/2019 08:31

Morning all!! A lot to catch up on so congrats to any BFPs I’ve missed!!

8DPO today and having random sharp shooting pains in my boobs but that’s the only real symptom I have. Had a major hangover there on Sunday/yesterday but I doubt it was anything! Trying to make it to Saturday to test at 12DPO - AF due Sunday 😓

AtouchofFrenchy · 26/11/2019 10:01

Hello Ladies,

Sorry been a bit quiet recently. @oliwc12 and @Shuckle sounds very promising! Exactly same symptoms I got for my first pregnancy at 4 / 5DPO. I keep fingers crossed for you to get BFP soon! :)

@HugeAgeGap, How do you feel? I know we are same DPO and wonder if you got anything? So far for me nothing at 7DPO... I believe I am out again for this month and expect my AF due on the 4th December.Hope you have more chance!

@croissantmonster I understand exactly how you feel as I have same issue.. Can't keep thinking about it and analysing any symptoms, and massively disappointed every month when AF comes. I am trying to keep busy to not think too much about it, also this month I have decided to write pro and cons if I become pregnant now. To be honest this help a lot (for example might start a new job very soon so probably not good idea to be pregnant right now.. also great to be able to enjoy the Christmas food :) ). Last but not least, my OH is doing a semen analysis today. Since it is almost a year we are TTC I want to make sure everything ok on both sides and if something wrong, then we can try to fix it! :)

Wish you all lot of good luck xxx

LoveRainbow02 · 26/11/2019 10:05

@Shuckle your symptoms sound really promising 🤞. How have you resisted the urge to test lol.

I've gave up on testing as I keep getting evaps 😔
