December bus - testing first week of december

Hi all,

AF arrived today so thought I would start a new thread....feel free to join.

First cycle since MMC and ERPC on 1st October, following BFP straight after implant removal.

Bit odd for me, first proper AF in a few years.

Hoping this is the month!

@Nicc555 yes my last opk was much darker than that test for sure. I'm due af between the 28th and 30th. Tested again this morning with 2nd wee and got this result.

@Nic555 you know everything! Ahh it makes sense. I’m going to stop testing then. What a waste of money if I’ve just missed the surge. DTD once on the 2nd day of flashing smiley and DH got ill. I’m out 🤷🏾‍♀️

@loverainbow02 I have just read another thread where someone tested at what they thought was 5 DPO with an OPK and it was positive they've done a pregnancy test and are 2-3 weeks pregnant. What they thought was their last period as it was 5 days like normal must have been implantation. Don't want to get your hopes up but may be worth a test even if just to rule is out.

@MrsTwentySeven it's all the Googling I do and because I had the same issue 😂 you may not be out. I'd keep DTD just in case how many flashing days did you have?

@Nicc555 My last af was deffo a proper period as it was my first after my early mc. I have no idea what's going on tbh. The tests just seem to be getting darker again. I deffs ovulated 8 days ago though as leading up to this I had all the symptoms and ewcm and really strong positive opks for nearly 2 days. My body is weird 😂

I know my test have been confusing me as well. I don't know what is happening I don't even know if I ovulated this month.. the test keeps getting dark and light but not dark enough for ovulation... but still dark.. I'm so confused and lost this month... I am still waiting to ovulate but my period is due in 14 days so.... I have no idea why my body is playing games with me this month... 😞😞😞😞

@MrsTwentySeven you might not be out yet! Only takes 1 sperm right DTD can't hurt, maybe you're having a slightly longer cycle this month?

I'm 6DPO today, the urge to symptom spot is getting really difficult! DH and I flew back from holiday and I felt really sick on the plane and as soon as I stepped foot on the plane it smelt DISGUSTING (though Ryanair planes, could be anything ha!) never normally travel sick but the smell of the food was horrible, felt nauseous all evening when we got home, my cup of tea tasted really weird, and my boobs really so heavy! Really hard not to get my hopes up! x

Hey everyone, jumping on this thread as a lot of 2ww buddies here! I'm TTC with first baby, had no idea how complicated it could be (they make it sound sooooo easy when you're a teenager!!). I'm around 5dpo I think (had a smiley opk last sat so think I ovulated Sunday, but this is my first month TTC so may not be totally right!). AF due on 4th december, and hoping I can do an initial test on 28th/29th nov although very aware that could still be a BFN that early. The wait is excruciating!

@ceebee21 yay, we can wait together! I am promising myself no tests until after AF due (1st December) - so Monday 2nd! 30 day cycle this month so pretty much a 3WW ugh!

@LoveRainbow02 hmm that's an odd one then! Are the lines properly dark or just a bit?

I'm 1st month TTC 1st baby too its mad isnt it, you spend your whole life being told "if you have sex you will get pregnant so beware waaaah!" and then when you want it, you realise its nothing like that!! Trying to research and learn everything, its so complex. I'm almost a bit ashamed that there was so much about my own body and my own cycle I didn't know before starting TTC. I thought it was literally just "bleed for a week once a month and you have eggs and if you have sex you get pregnant!" Maybe if they taught the reality at school rather than just "you must not do this" and throwing sanitary towels at us, we'd be much better off in later life!

4th December is a while, do you have a long cycle? You're in good hands on this thread x

@Shuckle They arent all the way positive but considerably darker. My opks in the days after ovulation went back to stark white and only the last couple of days they have been getting much darker.

@Shuckle you’re patient! My luteal phase was 11 days last month, so that would make AF due Wednesday! May test Monday/Tuesday xx

@LoveRainbow02 I've randomly done some OPK's in my cycle before and found I can get fairly dark ones even though I've ovulated. I don't think they're positive until you get that super dark/darker than control line result, and our bodies have LH all the time so I think it could be this

. Just wanted to say that if u have this again I really recommend the body temping. I this month had an ultra long phase before ov, which I haven't had for a year, and thought OPK: must be wrong, but I eventually got a dark result and then it tied completely in with body temp raising so that does help to have that there to compare together, then you'll know if u deffo have/haven't ov yet xx

@Shuckle I know what you mean, I felt clueless when I actually researched how it all actually works! My cycle is 29days but (I think, if I used opk right! ) I ovulated a good few days before I expected to so it's a 2.5 week wait for me!

I'm on cycle 13 and still no clue what's going on with my cycle. Ranging from 25 to 31 days

@HugeAgeGap I cant really temp at the minute as I have a toddler who has became unsettled at night so I would be having frequent wake ups and wouldnt get an accurate reading.

@HugeAgeGap can you use any thermometer for temping or does it have to be a specific one?

Hey so I'm 1DPO and bored already!! Deciding when I should test maybe Sunday 1/12 as I'll be 10dpo then xx

@Shuckle you need to get a thermometer that does temp to 2 decimal places, rather than 1 decimal place. I got a cheap one on Amazon.

I don't always manage to get totally accurate readings based on OH waking me up in the morning, lie ins at weekend and going to the loo etc, but generally the rise after ov is so obvious that if ur a bit out here n there u can still see that u have ov so I still find it useful.

Shot in the dark here but can anyone see anything or am I being a crazy lady 😂. Most likely the latter lol!

Just tagging along for the ride. 1st cycle, TTC no 2. I'm 2dpo and AF due 5th December.
My last baby is now 18, and all these tests just weren't a thing (or I didn't know about them) last time. It's both exciting and massively anxiety-inducing! Trying not to get too obsessed, but already finding the waiting really hard.

Hi @AliSxo Me too. Trying to avoid complete insanity! Think I might also test on the Sunday and get it out of the way. I'm 39 so I'm not really expecting to get lucky first time, and I really want to be able to relax for at least a couple of weeks each cycle. I know slight obsession is probably inevitable! Fingers crossed for you!
