First time TTC - Coming off the pill. Anyone with me?!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to start a thread after reading through some and watching.

I came off the pill 1st september, bled 8th-12th then spotted/light bleed again 21st-25th september.

I'm using Flo which I think is pretty inaccurate right now but it's saying I'm due on tomorrow.

No symptoms really - think any I have had have been in my head!

Hoping to find someone who is also starting their journey of TTC for the first time ☺️

@Lea84TTC I've always felt like it, I used to be really rubbish at taking the pill and had a lot of scares and I just never knew how it didn't stick. We will get there! ❤️

@gegi sorry been MIA for a couple days as so busy haha! How are you?! I woke up this morning with a load of CM but all filled with dark blood?!? But then nothing else! I’m not sure what this is 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thought it could be AF but now thinking maybe ovulation/ implantation bleeding? No clue of dates so I’m not sure!

@ACMJ thats ok hun! Did you have a good weekend? Sounds like it could be implantation!! Fingers crossed.

I had the butterfly feeling on Friday and Saturday... took a 'step closer' strip test on Friday because I had some lying around and came back BFN, had basically no cm yesterday and tHis morning, no cramps but still twinges... did another step closer test this morning and nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️

If nothing by Friday I'll go buy a proper test as I know these strip tests are a bit unreliable. But I'm just waiting for AF now as I'm certain I'm out and just want to start my next cycle!!!!

Honestly it was the strangest thing I have ever seen!! Absolutely nothing else now!

That is so strange! Yeah give it till the end of the week and buy a decent test. Always unsure of what one to get as I know how reliable CB digital are (I’m a line spotter) so these are good for me but they also don’t show up till really late! Maybe FRER?
I know what you mean though the quicker AF arrives then you can start your next cycle, I’m feeling the same to be honest!

@gegi I feel so similar to you! I'm due AF on Thursday and I'm hoping she doesn't come but I do feel some cramping today which is making me think it's not the month😔 I took a test on Friday and it was BFN, I'm trying so hard not to test again because it hurts my heart a little.. I hope hope hope we all get some good news xxx

@ACMJ yeah thanks! I work Saturdays so today is my Sunday 😂 any cm changes today? Yeah think I'll get an frer one on Friday!

@kylieeee any little cramp gets me thinking! Don't worry if you've been testing before you're due!! Fingers crossed x

I'm TTC baby #1! Came off my pill a few months ago but this is the first month we have actually tried :)

@gegi still the same, blood still going but very light and is brown to very light pink, so strange! Had some cramping this morning but that has gone now!

Even though I was bleeding I gave in and decided to test with a internet cheapy and within 2 minutes a second line appeared but it’s not coloured just a greyish line which I think is an evap line to check I did another one and the exact same line came up within the time frame but not really any colour to it. Can you get two evap lines in a row?!? And within the time frame😂

@xoJellyBean welcome!! What stage are you at at the mo? Have you ovulated yet?

@ACMJ ohhh how weird! Deffo try a better test!!! I'm having more twinges and also part of me really thinks i am pg but i think its probably just my mind playing tricks on me 🙄😂

@xoJellyBean sounds like you were sensible coming off the pill and waiting before trying! I wouldn't say this month I've completely been tracking because its my first month off the pill but my withdrawal bleed was over 40 days ago and I had a few days of bleeding which were about 30 days ago now so I've got no idea whats going on! No symptoms really, weird butterfly feeling in my belly! Few cramps! And 2 negative tests so far!! According to flo im 8 days late!!!

Hi all, can I join? 30, married a year and had my implant out on 21st Aug. Decided to have 3 months to work out what my cycle does before TTC in December as I’ve not had a period for almost 3 years on the implant and was on the pill before that. Feels like I’ve been planning this my whole life and I’m so impatient to get going! 🙈 So relieved to find others in the same boat! I’ve been measuring BBT since implant came out but it’s just all over the place. Tracking in Flo and Clue which predict different dates for ovulation at the moment. I hope that by the end of 3 months they’ll have enough data to predict accurately and agree! Bought ovulation test strips (not sure of the acronym!!!) this month and EWCW today but negative test. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Loved reading your stories so far and feel a bit better! My friends have said it just happened for them or not to worry and tracking is unnecessary/ obsessive etc but I find it so interesting!!!

@gegi oh my goodness, 8 days!! When are you going to test again?
I have been tracking my periods for ages now & using OPKs too! I always ovulate a week later than my app predicts.

13 days and counting now for my period, started with a headache 10 days ago too. How is everyone else.

Hi all, I'm completely new to this but thought this looks like the thread for me as I'm finally TTC for the first time

I came off Cerazette on 5 September (after being on it for 12 years), had first period around 5 weeks later on 9 October and now tracking ovulation for the first time - excited as it's so long since I've had a natural cycle! Using Clearblue advanced monitor and so far so good, had a couple of high fertility days showing so hoping tomorrow might be my peak. Now just need to convince OH that we should try properly, i.e. a few times during the window...we originally agreed to wait a couple of months before trying 'properly' but I'm so impatient...

@Tinygiggler89 I know the feeling, I would struggle not to track it as I find it so interesting and I always like to plan things...I know it doesn't work like that with TTC but at least tracking my cycle makes me feel in control in some way!

@Jh2019 I was exactly the same. We had agreed to TTC in November and I somehow got it moved to October. I am very impatient and keep getting frustrated with myself.

@Lea84TTC sounds very similar, I know the feeling - try not to get frustrated with yourself, the urge can be really hard to ignore especially if you’ve been waiting a long time for this! Once I realised my ovulation is late in the month, late November just seemed so far away...I do feel bad for putting pressure on OH though. Got my peak smiley face on the clearblue this morning so let’s see what happens..

@gegi yeah I know what you mean! Well I gave in and rang the doctors and they are doing blood tests on me this morning for hormone levels, pregnancy and thyroid! She said the results will be back tomorrow which is good but I don’t do bloods at all

Hi girls. Hope you don't mind me joining. Think I'm in a similar situation to many of you.

I'm 25 and have just started TTC. I stopped taking the mini pill on 28th September. We started trying from 11th October. Flo predicted ovulation on same day but OPKs were negative. I had a dark OPK on 14th but technically still negative. Flo predicted period on 26th. I had some extremely light spotting on Saturday but only when wiped. Today I've started with some light bleeding which I guess could be my first period coming off pill. I had really hoped I'd be lucky first time round! 🙈 I'd love it to be implantation but don't think it is!

I've been watching a few threads but feel like support is needed especially when I'm symptom spotting! Good to be able to share and compare! Feeling very impatient for a BFP- I think because I've wanted to start trying for a loooong time!

@gegi still bleeding day 14 now, not sure what is going on with me. When are you do your AF?

@JJ1994 welcome!! Yes very similar! Hopefully if we don't get our BFP our bodies will soon return to normal after the pill!!!

Having some awful cramps so hopefully AF is here tomorrow because then I can get to grips with my cycle!!!

I’ve relented and bought a thermometer. Mainly because my cycles vary so much in length and have no idea if and when I’m ovulating. I’m just hoping I am ovulating and everything is working.

I'm not sure the Flo app is very accurate or it could be that without any knowledge of my cycles it can't accurately predict. I'll be using OPKs as soon as my period ends I think. Although didn't have a definitive positive when I used them this month.

Looking forward to trying again next cycle. Thinking positive baby thoughts for us all!

Love reading everyone's situations here! It really helps lol my hubby is asking me everyday if I have symptoms etc and I feel like I'm just gonna fall to bits if I'm not pregnant
