First time TTC - Coming off the pill. Anyone with me?!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to start a thread after reading through some and watching.

I came off the pill 1st september, bled 8th-12th then spotted/light bleed again 21st-25th september.

I'm using Flo which I think is pretty inaccurate right now but it's saying I'm due on tomorrow.

No symptoms really - think any I have had have been in my head!

Hoping to find someone who is also starting their journey of TTC for the first time ☺️

@Izzie94 awh thank you lovely, I hope baby luck is with you too! As for the google history, long gone are the clothes websites, now it's 'early pregnancy symptoms' 'raised bumps on nipples?' 'Is thrush linked to pregnancy?' 😂😂 xx

@Izzie94 i do that too 😂 Ive wanted a baby since forever. I get so broody 😫

I tried to send a pic of my flo chart but it won't let me because im too new 🙄

Basically it thinks my ovulation was 1st-5th October and it thinks I was due my period on 13th.

If it was right on my ovulation then I think I'm out to be honest because my DP was away with work that week 🙄 but my cm suggested otherwise hmmmmm

@kylieeee I've literally just googled early pregnancy symptoms 😂😂😂😂 so glad i found this though

@gegi I'm SO broody!!! Have been ever since I can remember 👶🏻 do you get any other symptoms of Ov? Little twinges? EWCM? Don't worry if you don't because it's completely normal not too! But some do, and some check internally for cm to see whether they've ovulated as often aps can place you earlier / later than it really is!! Sperm can survive a while, so you might be fine 🙊 fingers crossed for you!! Xxx

@gegi yeah it is so hard to not symptom spot as you never know what you are imagining and what is actually there! Yeah the butterflies feeling is strange and could be a sign! I would wait to see if AF arrives and take it from there. When did you say you were due on?? I think I’m going to book a doctors appt next week as I am SO bloated, you know just like before AF arrives but being 15 days late now it’s not going and just feel uncomfortable! Did another test this morning again came up with a weird shadow line in the time frame but no big changes still. Thing that’s annoying me is my doctors know that my periods are weird and I was investigated before I started the pill 4/5 years ago and they said that when I want to TTC to come back and they would support me with hormone pills. Went last week, same doctor, and she was like let’s just see if it happens naturally!! Wasting my time! Why is TTC and seeing doctors so challenging 🤷🏼‍♀️🤯

@Izzie94 because it's my first month I've not really been tracking it but I will next month if this isn't my month deffo!!!

@ACMJ its a bit tricky to say how late I am because of coming off the pill but flo is saying 7 days late... my withdrawal bleed was 41 days ago! And I had a few days of spotting that started about 29 days ago... so I'm still reluctant to test as I'm worried about being disappointed 😂

I'm not sure if I'm confusing the butterflies for nausea because I do feel a bit sick too? It's like a feeling I get when I'm nervous so maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me 🙈😫

@ACMJ oh god the dr thing is annoying! I have to say I love the NHS but there are some drs that just make me want to cry!!! It's like they don't listen or read their notes... ever!!!

Ooh just slightly behind be then! Feels like such a long wait haha! But it’s nice that someone else is in the same boat as me and is still waiting for their first real AF. Honestly so do I, I have so much respect for the NHS but when it gets personal it’s like cmon just help me speed the process up 😂😂

@ACMJ whats your cm like? When are you going to test again? Ahhhh I love being able to talk on here because DP just thinks its going to happen like magic!

@gegi CM has been really strange. When I first came off my pill I had lots of watery CM. Then during what was supposed to be my fertile window it was pretty much non existent so I ended up getting sore so stopped for a couple days! (sorry if tmi 😂) The last couple of weeks it has been up and down but I certainly have lots of it it’s just watery though not stretchy so I have no idea if I even ovulated this month as it was never stretchy! What about yours? Oh my god me too. My OH is getting annoyed with the amount I’m spending on tests and keeps asking why it’s not happened first time, they don’t understand 😂 I mentioned my fertile window the other day and he just went ‘ what on earth is that, are you not fertile all month’ 😂 bless!! Helps having an outlet though

I've spoken to my friend and shes forcing me to test 😫 to be fair she is probably right i have no sign of AF coming still ... but then she does pop out of nowhere 😂

@gegi 😂😂😂 I know what it must be the have the male mind eh! Yeah so strange it has been for a while. It’s hard symptom spotting for me at the minute as I am sure I have a kidney infection! 😩 yeah I would test if I were you, when was the last time you did one?

@ACMJ oh no why do you think that 😫 and I tested 9 days ago I think. But I can't remember. Tbh I only tested because my mood swings were insane and I thought I was going to kill someone 😂

@gegi well I have been having the worst back aches and peeing constantly which at first I thought oo I’m pregnant but now my urine is really cloudy. Although so went to the doctors about it about a week ago and they did a test for a UTI which came back negative 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 but that’s all I can find on google for cloudy urine so 😂 wow I need to have some of your restraint, 9 days ago!! I’ve been an every couple days tester 🤐 so have pretty much used up all of my pay this month on the things!! No more now. Honestly I would do one, you have nothing to lose after 9 days! X

@ACMJ I think I'm a little bit nervous 😂😂 I'm too scared to know if its negative and to be honest although it's what I really want I'm slightly nervous about it being positive too. Is that weird? 😂😫

Hi, hope it's ok that I join, trying for baby #3, have two kids aged 13 and 10.
Was on pill for 10 years, came off 12th July started AF on 9th Oct (87 days later) and on day 12 and counting. It started of light brown and got heavy red now. (Sorry tmi).
Hoping it will finish soon and can start testing for ovulation.

@gegi hope you're OK hun, I always think a bfn is harder to take than AF. You kind of get your hopes up don't you? 😩 When was your last period/bleed? One thing I did notice about coming off the pill was that my periods were a lot lighter than they ever used to be!! X

@yellowpurple85 Hey!! Never tmi on here! Glad AF came for you so you can start tracking where you are, it's horrible waiting for withe AF or bfp 😪 x

Is it normal to have a 12 day period after waiting so long for one, sorry silly question but not had a period in over 10 years and I was a regular 28 day / 5 days bleed.

@yellowpurple85 what's the flow like hun? It's usual for your periods to take a while after the pill to settle back into a regular cycle, it may just be your hormones getting back to the norm and as you didn't bleed for a few months, getting everything out! See how it goes 😊 I'm sure you next one will be shorter x

@izzie94 first few days it was very light flow and brown, then 6 days ago it got very heavy and red and hasn't stopped.

@Izzie94 I'm okay... not out yet as AF isn't here still... I'm going to test again tomorrow morning x

Hi everyone, I hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m 35 and just started TTC (trying to conceive) for baby number one last month. I’m trying not to get myself stressed out but I’ve become obsessed with it. My boyfriend is very much like it will happen when it happens and tells me not to stress but I can’t seem to help it. After a month of trying I had a very very light period that lasted slightly longer than normal. I had none of my normal monthly symptoms and have been left with an achy back currently using a hot water bottle. I spend a lot of time looking at information on the internet and it’s become an obsession. I don’t know whether to get an monitor or thermometer or just keep trying and wait and see. My cycles are irregular which don’t help and also as a child a family member said I’d never have children and this is always in the back of my head. I hope I don’t sound crazy I’m just desperate for things to work for us 🙏

I've had horrendous mood swings today making me think AF is on her way 🙄

@gegi it really does mess with your head and I can’t seem to shake it off. Thank you for giving me some positivity 💖
