Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

@Itsemily sorry you're not feeling well 😔 hopefully a good rest today will have you feeling much better. Hope you had a lovely time celebrating your birthday yesterday!

lou1904 · 13/10/2019 22:54

Sorry for the silence girls, been a busy couple of days! Good luck @Konbanwa keep us posted. @han2291 I was in the same position, but have tried to take it as a positive that I know more about my cycle and I think even so we will miss it this month too with my husband being away, but that will then be my second cycle since coming off the pill so all helps settle it down and get into a pattern. @Itsemily I hope you had a nice birthday! @notalwaysalondoner good luck with house viewings, I read the same about alcohol. I'm not a big drinker at all, but had a few friends birthdays so had just a couple. I was reading that even if you are a couple of weeks pregnant and have a binge night because you haven't realised, that the doctors advise is to stop obviously but that they don't think alcohol affects the baby that early as the umbilical cord hasn't formed. Hope everyone has had a good weekend! Xxx

han2291 · 14/10/2019 00:49

@lou1904 kind of hard to be positive when you want it so much though 😔 we're the same these next few months, husband has a lot of work travel so that'll be interesting! Hope you had a lovely weekend.

GaaaaarlicBread · 14/10/2019 07:54

I’ve woken up with a bloody UTI and it’s my first day back at work today I can’t bloody believe it !! Why do these things happen ?!
Not slept a wink!
I hope you all had a good weekend and I hope you have a good Monday xx

@Itsemily oh crap no! You poor thing 😔 I hope you feel better ASAP x

Konbanwa · 14/10/2019 12:14

@Itsemily Oh no! Hope that you manage to get into the docs to help sort out the UTI. They are so painful!

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm still feeling mild period-like cramps today and I felt really nauseous yesterday. I'm trying to not get my hopes up because I'm convinced we missed it this month.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how this week goes but if AF doesn't arrive I'm scheduled to test at the weekend...🤞🤞

han2291 · 14/10/2019 13:56

@Konbanwa welcome to the longest week of your life!! When is AF due? Keeping everything crossed for you!

GaaaaarlicBread · 14/10/2019 14:10

@Konbanwa @han2291 thanks girls , I’m just sat in the surgery now waiting patiently . Thank goodness I’m on an early finish today . Never cried so much going for a wee in my whole life 😂😂

Eeeek I can’t wait for you to test I’m really hoping it’s positive !! I keep getting excited when I think about testing in two weeks but equally don’t want to get my hopes up either 😩
I’m so excited for you though 💕💕

Konbanwa · 14/10/2019 15:05

@Itsemily @han2291 Thanks guys! AF is due next Monday so we'll see 🤞 I'm not confident though! Definitely going to test at the weekend though if AF isn't early! 😂

Hope that you managed to get sorted out at the doctors @Itsemily.

UTIs are awful! The last water infection I had ended up with me awake all night in pain and I was terrified to go to the loo! It makes you desperate to go but bricking it at the same time! 😬

Konbanwa · 14/10/2019 15:44

Also I have no idea what happened with the formatting of my last message!

How has everyone's Monday going?

GaaaaarlicBread · 14/10/2019 17:05

@Konbanwa got everything crossed for you my end!
It's horrible isn't it?! Now I just feel so so sick from the first antibiotic ! Or is it the infection making me sick? Thank goodness I'm off tomorrow!
My day has been ok though, done a lot of running around-food shopping, visiting in-laws etc. It's also peeing it down here! Have you got rain? x

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 14/10/2019 18:42

@Itsemily Yes we seem to be having never ending rain here. It feels like it's been raining constantly for weeks!

I've got my fingers crossed too but I'm sure we have missed it this month and that these symptoms are just my body continuing to recover from the pill 😓

So hard not to symptom spot on every twinge though!

I'm making a roast chicken dinner tonight which should at least warm and cheer me up! What's everyone else having for tea?

GaaaaarlicBread · 14/10/2019 19:49

@Konbanwa 💚💚💚

Funny you should say that, I made a roast as well and my husband was very happy . He now has some leftovers for work tomorrow and if he gets called out to work! So very happy Hubby haha. I hope yours went down well x

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 14/10/2019 20:36

@Itsemily OMG I am stuffed! 😂 Was going to do leftovers for lunch tomorrow but there was way too much left so we are having it for tea again tomorrow. Should make a nice easy meal after the gym 👍

Glad yours went down well! Roast dinner is the best!

han2291 · 15/10/2019 14:18

@Konbanwa my husband is away on business for the next few days (yes I persuaded him to plan it while AF was here 😂) and tonight I wasn't particularly hungry so I had 1/4 tub of ben&jerrys.. I realise that's totally unhealthy but I've been having period cramps from hell and have allowed myself an evening to mope about the fact that last month wasn't our month, which had to involve ice cream!
How are you feeling today?

@Itsemily how are you feeling? Are the antibiotics still making you feel worse? Hope you're on the mend!

Konbanwa · 15/10/2019 14:52

@han2291 I am impressed with your restraint! At least half of that tub would have gone if I'd been having it 😂 Especially if it was due to AF cramps from hell!

I'm feeling ok today. Just normal which is throwing me off a little. Still trying to be good and not symptom spot too much!

Hope that you start feeling better soon and that AF eases off 🤞

notalwaysalondoner · 15/10/2019 14:52

@han2291 sorry that this month wasn’t your month, I think it’s really important to be kind to yourself and allow yourself to feel disappointment to then be able to move on. If you suppress it, it won’t be good for anyone in the long term. Enjoy the ice cream!
My temps are still low but previous temping suggested there’ll be a spike tomorrow or Thursday so planning to DTD today and tomorrow. Had to work late last night (didn’t get home until 2230...) so neither of us was in the mood. Then it will be on to the TWW...

GaaaaarlicBread · 15/10/2019 15:22

@han2291 You have good self control, I would have eaten the whole lot haha! I hope your AF eases soon.
I am feeling quite sick but apparently UTI's can make you feel sick sometimes, but the UTI symptoms have gone today so the antibiotics have kicked in nicely. They're making me feel tired but generally I feel OK. I just can't stop thinking about testing next week! Literally on day what...4dpo??? And I am already dying lol!

@notalwaysalondoner fingers crossed!!

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 15/10/2019 18:54

@notalwaysalondoner Fingers crossed that you manage to catch this month! 🤞

I'm still having off and on cramping, and it's making me feel like AF might come early this month ☹️

GaaaaarlicBread · 15/10/2019 21:28

@Konbanwa I hope you’re wrong and that it’s good cramping :(

OP posts:
han2291 · 16/10/2019 01:22

@Konbanwa @Itsemily thanks ladies ☺️ pains have stopped now.. since coming off the pill I seem to have 3 day periods which is quite nice, so it should be easing up today.

@Itsemily the urge to test will only get stronger haha resist!!! Really hope it's good news for you when the time comes though 🤞🏼

@Konbanwa from what I've read though it's totally normal to feel like AF is coming but it just never does.. I hope it doesn't!

@notalwaysalondoner that's true, thanks for the pep talk I needed that ☺️ fingers crossed for you starting the 2WW too!

han2291 · 16/10/2019 01:24

I just remembered I had a question I wanted to ask.. when AF started on Sunday it was around 5pm but I was hesitant to mark it as CD1. I did some reading online and apparently it you start after 4pm you can consider the NEXT day as 1, but what would you girls do?

notalwaysalondoner · 16/10/2019 09:59

Mine is always super light when it starts (don’t even need a pad) so I never count that day and start on the first proper flow day. I think if you’re consistent it’s fine.

GaaaaarlicBread · 16/10/2019 10:09

@han2291 mine always comes in the morning, when I was younger it would literally flow out Of me 😂😂 it was horrible . And when I had my coil out last month, it started in the morning again but fairly light. So I can’t help sorry , like Londoner said , I’m sure as long as you’re consistent with noting it every month then I’m sure it doesn’t really matter xx

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 16/10/2019 20:35

@Itsemily Mine used to be exactly the same but now seem to be much lighter. I don't know if it's because I'm older or just a side effect of the pill.

@han2291 I really hope that these symptoms mean something but I'm not sure that they will.

Hope that you all have had a good week so far! This TWW is an absolute killer!
