Hi ladies . I’ve just finished my period today and my husband and I are now going to start ttc our first baby after having my Mirena removed last week.
Is anyone else TTC this month ? I’ve ordered some ovulation tests after I said I wouldn’t because I’ve read so many success stories on them so I thought I might as well just so I have some in case !

I’d love for people to share their journey with me ! I’m 24, 25 in two weeks . So excited for our journey . I’m trying to figure out this whole lingo on here and stuff sorry! X

@Itsemily fully controlled for nearly 15 years and on a v low dose of meds, so I can't do any more on that front. I'm taking folic acid, so I'll just stop taking my daily multivitamin.

I had started with a PT in the summer to lose weight and was lifting weights. I'm back from honeymoon now and am not sure if the weights are a good idea. I've got a sore shoulder anyway, so I can't do anything with that.

Obvs trying not to be obsessed... But I've been broody for ages now and had to wait until I was on the safest low dose of my meds. I'm in a hurry now for my happy ever after Blush

GaaaaarlicBread · 21/10/2019 18:12

@xoJellyBean ah no! I had a UTI the other week, worst feeling ever ! I hope it doesn’t turn into a full on infection for you .

I’m 10DPO , started to bleed today but not due til Friday and it’s stopped now so I’m hoping it was a slightly heavier implantation but I have no idea whatsoever anymore . I’m gonna test Wednesday anyway and then test again Friday to see . Awful lower back pain and terribly sore boobs today and hot flushes all over the place !! So I’m clueless now lol

@curbsideprophet I’m glad you are controlled that’s great! :) we will get our positives !

@Itsemily Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that Emily! I hope that you are ok and that you can have a cuddle with your DH tonight.

Maybe have a warm bath, something nice for tea and at least half a tub of ice cream!

CurbsideProphet · 21/10/2019 19:20

I'm sorry to read that @Itsemily
Hope you're feeling ok. Have a cuddle on the sofa and a little treat Cake Flowers

xoJellyBean · 21/10/2019 19:32

@Itsemily I know! It's so uncomfortable. My friend thinks it might be implantation cramping because I don't have the burning sensation, but I assumed it felt like period pains?!

Do you think yours might be implantation bleeding?? I can't cope with the not knowing! I wish we could tell straight after conception lol

GaaaaarlicBread · 21/10/2019 19:46

@xoJellyBean no this is definitely period now . It’s flowing out , clots and everything . Better luck for me next month hopefully . I hope you’re is implantation x

@Itsemily Awww so sorry. Fingers crossed for next month! What cycle are you on?

Lea84TTC · 21/10/2019 20:04

Thank you everyone for your positivity, it really helps.
@Itsemily I’m so sorry x

GaaaaarlicBread · 21/10/2019 20:05

@xoJellyBean only cycle one so I can’t complain . Hubby being very good bless him. He said at least we know my periods are proper and my body is back into the flow of things after my coil removal . Which is very true . I didn’t have a proper proper period after my coil was removed so in a way next month will probably be better ! Fingers crossed for you ladies though ! Our bodies are crazy lol x

Lea84TTC · 21/10/2019 22:24

Our bodies seem to be a mystery to us all at times. I seem to have no idea what mine is doing most the time.

han2291 · 22/10/2019 00:46

@Itsemily oww I'm sorry hun, your body took you on a rollercoaster these last few days! But you're right it's good to know your body is getting back into its natural rhythm at least. I hope you took @Konbanwa advice and ate at LEAST half a tub of ice cream for dinner ❤️

Konbanwa · 22/10/2019 07:29

Morning everyone! AF still hasn't arrived here but I'm continuing to have period pains. Took another test this morning just in case but it was a BFN.

I think my body is still settling down after coming off the pill and my cycles aren't back to normal. My cycle last month was 27 days but I'm on cd29 at the moment and AF is still to show up...🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm so confused but want AF to hurry up so I can start again!

@Itsemily I hope that you are feeling better today and that you got a good nights sleep!

han2291 · 22/10/2019 07:40

@Konbanwa aah I've been looking forward to hearing from you to see how you're doing! That's so confusing.. how many DPO are you now? Hoping you either get that BFP or AF comes soon so you know what's going on, either way.

It's ridiculous how invested I feel in each one of your TTC journeys now haha I know that sounds crazy because obviously we're just strangers on the internet but I genuinely wish the best for all of you ladies and want to get excited with you/support you ☺️ we've got a lovely little community going on in this thread!

Konbanwa · 22/10/2019 07:47

@han2291 I'm currently 16dpo and cd29 but no AF and still getting BFN. I really do think it's just because my body isn't back in it's rhythm after the pill. Sigh!

I know what you mean about this group though! It's so supportive and I love being able to chat with you all about TTC and hearing about your journeys. I hope that we all get BFPs soon! 🤞

GaaaaarlicBread · 22/10/2019 07:47

@Konbanwa eeee I wonder what's going on?!
I know what you mean about wanting to just crack on with it! It's hard not knowing what you're doing.

@han2291 omg Han this is awful. I am back to my old periods. I stood up this morning when I got out of bed and this gush just came and went straight through what was an empty pad! Not bled in the night at all, just upon waking! I am going to start a thread to ask people for advise on how to deal with heavy periods when TTC because the coil solved my period issues but I can't exactly have that now!

I ate two ice lollies and loads of chocolates left over from my birthday. My DH annoyed me this morn-for saying he is a nurse, he asked if I was OK I told him I have soaked through two pads already and it wasn't even 7am at this point. He replied "Ew thanks for that". I told him he has cheesed me off and he goes "I was joking, You know I am a bit funny in the mornings I am not a morning person" but by this point I am already pissed off and frustrated anyway lol. So petty but it really bothered me. I am glad I can moan to you ladies.

I hope you are all OK. I am in love with this autumn weather. SO crisp in the mornings!

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 22/10/2019 07:56

@Itsemily That sounds like a super heavy flow! Maybe look at getting some maternity pads that you can use for the first few days. They are supposed to be more absorbent than the night pads.

Would it be possible for you to double up and use tampons and pads together? But I know some people just don't get along with tampons. I'm definitely one of them as I seem to be always able to feel them inside and they hurt!

The weather lately has been glorious! I love autumn! I made beef stew for tea last night to warm us up and have leftovers for lunch today. I'm cracking out all my cold weather recipes already and it's great!

GaaaaarlicBread · 22/10/2019 08:01

@Konbanwa unfortunately I have never got on with tampons. As a teen I initially thought it was because at the time (15) I was a virgin, so I assumed it was just because I wasn't used to anything...ya know...
But I tried again when I met DH and I could feel them and it was so painful and they just came out, even when they were definitely in properly. Not sure how else to cope it's awful. I feel so lucky that I work in an office and can go to the loo whenever but I don't want to be leaking and taking the mick going to the toilet all the time. Also feel lucky that I am part time only 3 hours a day at the moment so not got a whole shift to worry about. But I am now going onto another pad. It's horrific !!
Please nay other advise?!? I will try the maternity pads thank you!

I love it! Beef stew as well omg! To die for. I might get my slow cooker out today!

OP posts:
Konbanwa · 22/10/2019 08:22

@Itsemily Tampons never agreed with me either. I can always feel them and they really hurt me! Have always had to use pads instead.

Have a try with the maternity pads and see how they go. Might also be worth looking into taking some iron tablets as well to prevent you getting slightly anaemic and run down during your periods. But I'm not sure if they would be ok with your epilepsy medication.

Hope it eases up soon!

For the beef stew I used my instant pot so i had braising steak cooked and soft within 30mins! I love it because it is so convenient and is also an amazing rice cooker!

xoJellyBean · 22/10/2019 10:07

7dpo & I tested this morning... BFN lol now wondering why I tested so early :(

han2291 · 22/10/2019 12:03

@Itsemily oh nooo I'm sorry 😞 it's not nice to go back to that after so long without having to deal with it! I really wish I had some suggestions for you. Just be easy on yourself.. I'm sure nobody would think you're taking the mick if you pop to the loo every so often, nobody can tell you off for that! Aww sounds like DH put his foot in it a little there haha I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it but don't say stuff like that to a PMS'ing woman!!!

@Konbanwa a beef stew sounds amazing! This is my favourite season so I always feel sad to be missing it while I'm not living in the UK. The only comparison I have is that it's finally getting cooler in HK but it's still around 24 degrees so no jumpers yet. I've never had an instant pot! Would you recommend them?

@xoJellyBean don't stress hun, you're definitely not the first to test early and you won't be the last! When is AF due?

CurbsideProphet · 22/10/2019 15:51

I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm only on my first cycle of ttc and the sensible part of my brain knows it could take 12+ months, but the other part of my brain wants to conceive straight away.

I'm now searching my freezer to check if we have any beef casserole left!

Lea84TTC · 22/10/2019 18:45

Just being on here has stopped me obsessing so much and I’ve been able to concentrate on my class when I am at school. Thank you 😊

LeaBri · 22/10/2019 20:46

@itsemily I’m so sorry about your AF coming hun! And to hear it’s a heavy one! I don’t understand our bodies, we have all these symptoms and then boom AF turns up! Onwards and upwards for next month
though and like you say at least your cycle has settled down!

Still no AF for me but got very weird cramp in pretty much where my pelvis is tonight, very odd and nipples are still tender which just before my AF they usually aren’t. AF is due tomorrow and I’ll be 14 DPO going to test first thing tomorrow and if BFN, then I’m out this month. I’ll let you guys know! X

xoJellyBean · 22/10/2019 23:48

@han2291 I am due in Saturday!Smile
