Hey @ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling rough at the minute. You've definitely come to the right place as I can imagine a lot of us are feeling the same things you are.

I do think with all the info and research we do into ov and opks and cycle lengths and lute phases, it's so easy for it to become a mechanical routine and all you can think about, honestly I can say I feel the same way as you. Every time I pick up my phone I'm looking at stuff online to do with getting pregnant and baby name threads and all sorts. It takes over!

You've still had sex in your fertile window this month so you're not out - keeping my fingers crossed. It only takes once 🧡 If your DP is feeling under pressure, then try and use your TWW now as some time to focus on just the two of you, without the pressure of ovulation.

It will happen for you eventually 🧡 how long have you been trying? X

MeganMama28 · 22/10/2019 08:58

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia sorry you're going through a rough time at the minute. TTC is such an emotional roller-coaster.

I got into an argument with my OH over the weekend as he feels like I'm just focussed on ttc and not our relationship since our MMC a few months ago.

I've started to try to 'set the mood' more rather than tell him I'm about to ovulate and DTD every other day. This has helped for us as he feels I want to as opposed to need to. Maybe try this a bit this evening but don't feel disheartened if he's still not up for it. As @CooperLooper said, you've done it in your fertile window so you're certainly not out!

I'm so scared of trying this month as it's the first cycle since MMC. Scared that it wont happen, scared that it will and I won't be able to relax. Its nice we all have each other on here to vent.

Sending lots of hugs 💕 x

@Peachyx2505 hey girl! Yeah my one is super excited for the prospect of having a baby bro or sis! So hopefully we both get preggo soon lol xx

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia I am so so sorry you feel like this. Its really hard not to feel like this I know because I go through ups and downs in trying to conceive too we all do and its super hard when you feel alone! It really takes over and then you feel like you cant talk about your symptoms because it's a bloody monthly routine! I'm here for you I know you dont know me but vent away! 🤗❤🥰

GreatestShowUnicorn · 22/10/2019 12:41

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia my dd was conceived through donor insemination on a Thursday & I ovulated Sunday night so try & keep positive.

GreatestShowUnicorn · 22/10/2019 12:42

@Ellsbells112 & @Peachyx2505 My dd is 8, 9 in April so I'd be looking at a 9y gap 😲 must be mad!!

Izzychar2927 · 22/10/2019 13:08

Here to the tww

Nic555 · 22/10/2019 13:28

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia so sorry to hear you are feeling so down. It's completely normal and natural this TTC business is just a constant stress. I wish I'd never Googled it and just used OPKs. from CM to position of cervix to symptom spotting there's always something to worry about.

What I would say is how our OH feel as well is also completely normal. Luckily my husband wants a baby even more than me but he is very open and has discussed the pressure with his mates and brother and they have said they felt the pressure as well to perform. Luckily he will perservere and make sure we manage to DTD even if it seems to take forever 🙈 we struggle with thinking let's leave tonight so that it's easier the next day and then something happens the next day and we don't get chance.

The fact he managed three times the week before is fantastic though. Now you know your body more it'll be easier to time it right. If I was you I wouldn't tell him you're ovulating it may make it easier. I can't do that as my husband asks me daily if I'm ovulating.

Sending you lots of love and hoping you feel better ❤️ xx

ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia · 22/10/2019 13:29

Oh guys!! Thank you so so much for your responses. I am genuinely floored. It has cheered me up so much. I was just expecting to vent and everyone just to carry on as normal but it was just lovely to get some replies of encouragement from people who understand. We are stronger together, right? ❤️❤️
I will try and keep positive, you guys have certainly helped xx

@ItsAlwaysSunnyinPhiladelphia

Hope you are feeling better. It’s so hard to not obsess. Here for you, I’m hoping it’s your lucky month!Smile

I feel so negative about it at times and I am only starting this journey. Trying to live in the moment and not stress about whether AF is gonna arrive or not. Easier said than done!

@ I can really relate to what you are saying, I never tried for my son, we just weren’t using protection so I’ve never had all this checking when ovulation is gonna happen etc but I just don’t want to waste time not actively trying!

One more day of the 2ww down anyway!

Plaw · 22/10/2019 18:56

My message above meant to include you @Nic555 Blush instead of just @

sojo44 · 22/10/2019 19:18

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia sending you lots of hugs! I feel you, it can get so hard sometimes especially when you hear people around you with their success stories. I've definitely had my ups and downs so please don't feel like you're alone, I'm here if you need to vent 💖
And you're not out yet!

3DPO, a very long shot for a positive but I'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed for some good news. I feel a bit more relaxed today but I'm sure that'll change come 7-8 DPO 🙈

Sophieb15 · 22/10/2019 19:21

@omikron I came off the pill at 23 and we said we would just let it happen I didn't use OPKs and OH worked evenings so not that much DTD prob once a week I had no idea when I was ovulating and my cycles were a bit all over the place 28-34 days. I got pregnant at 25 it took over 2 years. I didn't have the PMS symptoms I do now then though I only got cramps day before and day off and sore boobs. Now my cycle is very regular I O CD 15,16 or 17 and always get AF 13 days after O but my cramping and backache is very bad and can start 6/7 days before AF. Sorry for essay x

omikron · 22/10/2019 19:29

@Sophieb15 interesting how much your cycle has changed!

Omg ladies I am soooooo tired. I'm assuming it's because I am having a crazy busy week with DS and also completely mentally drained and not because I am pg. I can't wait for this week to be over :(

Nic555 · 22/10/2019 20:04

@plaw 😂 I was confused who you were messaging. You're right the window is so small you definitely need to put some effort into it. I just wish I'd maybe started when I wasn't that bothered either way and more of a see how it goes thing but I really wanted to be married first so left it for longer. Knowing me as soon as I started I'd probably have obsessed anyway. It's funny how every month you feel different and worry about something else. Don't think the 2WW will bother me as much this month. We are booked to go away next July so a BFP would not be ideal and ovulation feels so different to last month I am thinking I have no chance and didn't ovulate but getting AF is still always depressing x

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia glad you're feeling a bit better tonight. Xx

Viscount · 22/10/2019 20:13

Hi ladies,

Ok if I join you all?

I'm 37
TTC #3 (son is 9 & daughter is 6).
Cycle no.1
Due af/bfp 7th Nov.

I've caught up on all the posts. Sending you all lots of baby dust.

I had baby #1 a decade ago, and it was after 3 miscarriages and way too much stress.

Then baby #2 was on first month trying and we only dtd once!!

Cant believe we're going back to this madness but I just cant shake the desire for one last baby.

GBC1 · 22/10/2019 21:15

Hi ladies, I’m going to jump in too!
TTC #1 I’m 35
OV on 18th and we did SMEP this month! Due to test in 10days 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mycrazylife85 · 22/10/2019 22:10

Hi everyone, can I join too.

  1. No1, PCOS came off pill January. Period due 3rd. 2dpo. Using OPK. Positive Saturday, dtd Saturday ovulation Sunday. Closest we've got so far. Husband has had issues also.

Feeling chilled and happy its the tww. Bizarrely I find it full of nonsense hope. Despite having progesterone problems that I'm waiting on the doctor to discuss (Keep getting old discharge before period). Would love a miracle but feel it's out if our hands. Good luck all

Tamalama · 22/10/2019 22:51

Hey @Mycrazylife85 I'm 2dpo too! I got my positive opk on Saturday too, we dtd that morning and I ovulated that night (I think) but Saturday was the only time we dtd and we didn't do it leading up to getting a positive opk or afterwards, so dtd on Saturday was literally our one shot for this month. Fingers crossed for us both...

Tamalama · 22/10/2019 22:52

@Mycrazylife85 Af is also due on 3rd nov for me too..

Mycrazylife85 · 22/10/2019 23:03

@Tamalama you are my sister from another mother. Same. We dtd on the Tuesday before so it doesn't count. Not feeling optimistic. But we've not managed to get down to it the day of ovulation before so I'll take that. Have also used the Flo app and noticed I usually have sore boobs by now. Not for me. In fact... nothing. Ah well. I usually get brown discharge a few days before AF so we'll see. 😏

Gee1235 · 23/10/2019 06:05

Any one have any advice..

According to two apps I was due to ovulate yesterday and I have had ovulation type pains or what I assume to be usually get them around the same time every cycle about two weeks before AF due but my opks haven't show a positive result at all.

This is my first month doing the opks properly and I'm just worried I'm not actually ovulating at all 😣!!

CooperLooper · 23/10/2019 07:27

Hey @Gee1235 which opks are you using? If it's the one step/ dip test ones they only identify LH surge then it's possible you could be missing your surge, depending how many times a day you test? LH will only show up late afternoon, and it can be quite a short window for you to catch it. What time(s) are you testing? Any changes to CM? X
