TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@flossy12 Oh really! We can keep eachother going through each others fertile windows 🤣🤣. That's strange! Maybe you do have a bug? Do you feel unwell? Xx

Hi all!! I'm 3DPO and just trying to kill the time now, I've brought some extra FR tests so I can test a few days before AF is expected xxx

Question ladies since I'm just learning about TTC (the shame considering I am a nurse 🤭😂)

The FLO app said my most fertile day was the 18th and im guessing the 16th 17th 18th 19th and 20th was my fertile window??

Also where do I start counting my days past ovulation is at on the 20th or at the start of the fertile window??

Hi @firsttimemum1993 my most fertile day was Tuesday so I counted Wednesday as 1 day past ovulation - 1DPO! The flo app is really good it was accurate as I also used the OPK sticks xx

@Hewie30 feeling ok, it's my first month of the pill so we'll see. It's only my first month trying so can't grumble if AF comes xxx

Cycle 3 but don't feel like we properly tried the first 2.

Been tracking my cycles for a few years now and haven't been on birth control as I didn't get on with it so didn't have to worry about withdrawing.
25 day cycle and normally ovulate CD12. Been using cheapie OPKs. My period only lasts about 2 days and I get a lot of spotting so a bit worried that might cause an issue.

Nice to have other people to chat to so I don't drive my DH mental!

Welcome @Makeafamily19 and happy birthday! Hopefully the birthday festivities and the bank holiday (good timing!) will distract you from AF. Wow, two day period, that is very short, lucky! Mine are typically 6-7 days!

@Raizelrea thank you! Yes I'm lucky my birthday often coincides with the bank holiday!
I have always appreciated the short period up to now but I do spot for about 3 days before and 3 days after and I've read that could be a sign of low progesterone (I need to stop googling things).
Looking forward to cracking on with this cycle!
We live by the sea so think we are going to take the dog out today and eat fish and chips on the seafront later. Also got a christening tomorrow so hoping that will distract me even though it's about a baby!

@Hewie30 sorry for the late reply had phone troubles!! Yes we defo can! Hehe! I'm in 2nd day if fertile window and CD17! 😆

Done my OPK today and this was the result! Did it around half past 1 👏🏼 it's classed as negative but I'd say in a few hours or by tomorrow it will be a blazing positive! DTD twice today already 😂😂

@flossy12 that looks pretty dark to me! 😁. Wouldn't that be classed a positive?! Haha that's good sounds like your covering yourself 😝 xx

@Hewie30 well me and OH had a talk yesterday he said he felt pressured having to 'perform' on cue 😅 I explained it's just the same as we've always done as we've never used condoms so he shouldn't feel pressured, had a rreeaalllyy long talk, and today he's in a totally different mind set 😅 so fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

So ladies AF hasn't arrived so I did a test this morning and I got a BFP! I'm still in shock and still don't quite believe it so going to do another test tomorrow to clarify!

Is it wrong that I'm scared and don't believe it!? X

@flossy12 That's nice that you and your OH talked things through, can't help things if he's not feeling it so good that he has a fresh mindset! I asked my OH if he's feeling pressured but he said he's basically loving life with all this surge of DTD 😂 He was asking loads of questions about if there's anything we should avoid or if there's anything we can do to boost our chances, it was nice and surprising that he qas so interested!

This week leading up to AF due date I have had some nausea and heartburn and I've been a right moody cow - really snappy and irritable , but I just thought it was all because of AF being due
Other than that no symptoms x

@Lifesforlivingandloving I'm not supprised, give it a couple days to sink in 😍 I'd be the same 😅 after seeing so many BFNs I wouldn't believe it either aha!

I'm doing good ☺️☺️ had a slight melt down a couple days ago because we missed a day of DTD but I'm over it now 😂 feeling very positive about this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻went out last night but had 2 shandy's and came home due to friend getting ill so I'm taking that as a sign that Mother Nature was telling me to hold back on the alcoholic goodness 😍🤷🏼‍♀️😂

@Raizelrea yeah I want him to enjoy this process as much as me! 😁 I think because his DS was an unplanned supprise, he might be feeling a bit down and pressured that we haven't caught yet but it's nobodies fault ☺️

Haha! Bless him 😅 my OH loved it the first couple months but after a while we were getting tired 😂 our shift patterns don't help either!

Hi all!

I'm 33 and TTC (trying to conceive) #1. I came off the pill in May and fell pregnant this month. Sadly I think it was a chemical pregnancy which ended at 5 weeks. Was very disappointed and emotional. For ten days we were in full planning mode!

I was planning to give myself a bit of a break and then try again without the apps and OPKs, but I'm finding it hard to let go of the control. I was also a very early tester but I'm thinking about waiting until at least a week after period. I feel like in my case knowing so soon made the chemical pregnancy even more disappointing.

So I'm currently on CD 6, although unsure what the chemical will do to my cycle.

How are things today? Exciting to see the first BFPS!

Awwwww that was me last month x I was so down in the dumps x my boyfriend was so worried he bought me flowers and stuff to cheer me up -bless him x it gets to us women at some point or another x were only human x

I definitely believe in little signs! I've asked for them all week and got a couple of little signs - my boyfriend thought I lost my mind when I told him some of them 😂

Yeah, never though TTC would be like this tbh 😅 everyone I know just seems to get pregnant out of nowhere and I'm just here like 🙋🏼‍♀️ my turn please!!

My Best friend of 20 years knows we're trying but my other friends don't and she blurted our last night 'are you trying for a baby yet???' I just mentioned I wasn't taking my pill, but she was so drunk I hope she doesn't remember 😂 don't want the added stress

@lifesforlivingandloving Oh my god congratulations hun!! That's amazing news ❤️😍. Bet your over the moon! Didn't you get any symptoms at all? You got cramps earlier in the week, that might have been implantation 😁 xxx
