TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@flossy12 Eeeek hopefully they'll continue to get darker for you 😍. Hopefully not!! Hopefully this month is both of our months then we can do a due date one too for us all! 🤞xx

@Alisxo Sounds like you've covered yourself through your fertile period hun!! You must be knackered 😂😂. Did it feel like a chore dtd days in a row? I'm currently doing every other day but thinking to do 3 days in a row over ovulation xx

Firsttimemum1993 Welcome!! I'm so sorry to hear about your MC, that must have been devestating 😔. Amazing though that it was when you first came off the pill, you must be very fertile! Hopefully that means you'll catch soon again😍. Haha!! That's hailarious 😂😂, he probably does, our OH are probably making the most of this baby dancing milarki! Google is like my best friend at the moment but at the same time gets my hopes up sometimes 😂 xx

@perminantlyexhaustedpigeon welcome! It sounds like you went through a lot with your first born in so sorry to hear about that 😔. Your ex clearly wasn't worth neither your time or your daughter's if he can walk away while your pregnant and you need him the most! I'm so happy for you that you've found someone your happy with 😍. Time shouldn't matter, the fact you both feel ready and have a strong relationship is the main thing ❤️.
It's soul destroying when you got all the symptoms and it turns out your not pregnant isn't it, you get that lite bit excited to think this is it. Then that negative comes and it's a kick to the stomach!! Don't listen to anyone or let them stress you out, focus on yourself, they can't wait to find out what's going on and hopefully soon you'll go to them yes I am pregnant!🙂🤞. Lots of baby dust to you hun xx

@Hewie30 hope so!! And yes fingers crossed! We have just been to see a mortgage advisor and I've been offered way more than I expected so could be buying a house too before the year is out!! This is so exciting! 💕 that would be amazing! Have little bubba journeys to share

Raizelrea · 22/08/2019 13:15

@Hewie30 Thank you lovely! Hopefully it's an exciting year ahead for all of us! 😀

@flossy12 Amazing news, bet you're chuffed, would be lovely to start your family in a new home you own - and with new neighbours haha!

flossy12 · 22/08/2019 13:23

@Raizelrea yes! 😂😂 the new neighbours would be a treat! It's an end terrace too so we would only have the old couple living next door 👏🏼 bliss!

It's all very exciting, atleast if we aren't lucky this month we have something to keep us busy x

AliSxo · 22/08/2019 13:38

@flossy12 yes mine has become fainter now than it was on Tuesday, also without being gross your discharge may become more like an "egg-whites" consistency.

@Hewie30 DTD bloody twice on Tuesday as Rhys was my day of predicted ovulation according to Flo and the OPKS also confirmed this! Yes everyday has been a lot but we'll probably do it again tonight then not tomorrow, I think my partners knackered!! Xx

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 13:40

@flossy12 Oh wow!! That's amazing hun that's so exciting 😁. Bet your so excited, with a house and fingers crossed little bubba what an amazing year you'll have 😍😍. Sharing a bubba journey would be amazing!!!! I've given into temptation and ordered some ovulation strips, I know I was going to wait until cycle 6 but my apps have bee stressing me out and telling me different ovulation dates and different luteal phase times and my cycles have been different every month 🙊🤷 xx

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 13:42

@raizelea Fingers crossed 🤞😊. Would be amazing if we all got our positives together too, then we can also moan to eachother about our symptoms 😂😉.

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 13:43

@Alisxo oh wow!! You go girl 😂😂. Haha! Bet he has knackered, I'm knackered just reading how often your dtd 😂😂. That's good that your app is the same ovulation and the opks 🤞😁 xxx

@AliSxo yeah the EWCM is how I pin pointed OV before last cycle ☺️

@Hewie30 I know can you imagine! 😍👏🏼 yeah there's no harm in using the strips atleast then you can try and pin point things better ☺️ I know, me and my sister always loved the thought of being pregnant together but she's only been with her OH for a couple of months so that's off the cards 😅

ireneadler101 · 22/08/2019 16:12

I'm also TTC, am 34, came off of the implant in January and have been temping since then. Only started actively trying last month and am already stressing about when it will happen 😂

Have discovered through temping that I have a short luteal phase (8-9 days) so am taking vitamin b6 to try and increase it.

Can also highly recommend Tempdrop for those who want to temp but have irregular sleep patterns / like a lie in. I love mine, think it's great.

ireneadler101 · 22/08/2019 16:16

Ps hope you don't mind me joining in!

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 16:22

@flossy12 It would be amazing 😍❤️. When's your next AF due? Yeah this is exactly it, hopefully it'll pinpoint which app has been more accurate for me and takes the stress out of trying to figure it out with symptoms and CF 😂. Hahaha! Yeah that would be a bit soon for them in their relationship bless them 😂. I'm afraid that does sound like it's off the cards lol! You got us lot though 😝 xx

OP posts:
Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 16:25

@irenealder101 Welcome! Of course we don't mind 😁. More the merrier! Ah we all know that feeling don't worry, hopefully it won't be long before we all get our positives 🤞. How are you finding temping? That sounds great about the lie in part 😂. It always confused me for some reason xx

Do you ladies thing fertility runs in the family/parents' fertility affects their children's fertility? Been pondering about this as it took my parents 5 years TTC to conceive me (shortly after stillbirth no less 🙁) while my OH is a product of a one night stand so clearly no fertility issues on that end... I figured with those stats we'll balance out at average but not sure if it's something that passes on like that in the first place?

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 17:59

@raizelrea It depends the reason as to why it took them a while hun, my mum and dad had IVF for me but I've been told I shouldn't have an issue xx

Im joining in here, just joined today, Im 40, partner 39, been together 4 years, trying for our first. Ive been on Noriday for almost 4 years and have been very very regular on it (28 day cycles with only a few cycles that were odd), came off it last week after a bit of a last minute decision to start trying, was mid cycle so we were a bit busy the last week Wink. had a withdrawal bleed saturday / sunday so will see what happens.
Started taking temps daily and have just ordered some ovulation and pregnancy strips on the off chance

flossy12 · 22/08/2019 18:41

@Hewie30 due the 9th of Sept ☺️ hopefully it'll be a BFP!! Haha yeah I'm not sure if I have symtoms or a bug or what 😅😂 haha yes it will definitely be off the cards!! 😄 glad I have all you girlies to keep me sane 😆

Raizelrea · 22/08/2019 20:26

@Hewie30 That would make sense. I don't really know the exact ins and outs of it as it's obviously a bit of a delicate subject for my parents, all I really know is that they'd supposedly been told they would both be able to conceive with relative ease with a different partner (must have been helpful to hear I'm sure...)

@claireb707 Hi, hope things go well for you and welcome aboard 😊

AliSxo · 22/08/2019 21:17

Hi everyone!! Nearly the weekend! I'm 2DPO so 12 days before I can test... trying to pass the time 😂

@Hewie30 think I'll DTD tonight and have tomorrow night off! 😂 hope this 12 day wait now before I can test comes round quick xx

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 21:48

@flossy12 Hopefully that'll come around quick 🤞🤞. That's during my fertile window 😁. I think I'm due around 22nd! Haha really 😂😂, what symptoms are you getting? It's so hard not to play extra attention isn't it xx

OP posts:
Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 21:50

@raizelea Wow that's pretty harsh... What a horrible thing to hear 😨. It's hard to know what they find it hard to discuss, mine were the same it was a very touchy subject and when I asked my mum she was a bit touchy about it and said it shouldn't effect me. All you can do is try as much as you can and if it gets to a year (which hopefully it won't do) mention it to your doctor's and see if they can run tests to put your mind at ease xx

OP posts:
Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 21:52

@Alisxo Haha! Spoil yourself with the night off 😂😂. Fingers crossed it'll come round quick, it's a horrible wait but I definitely find the wait to your fertile time worse for some reason! Xx

Hewie30 · 22/08/2019 21:54

@claireb707 Hiya! Welcome to the thread 😁. That's great you've got your withdrawal, don't be alarmed if your first period comes a bit later, stopping mid packet can do that sometimes ☺️. Lots of luck to you! I ordered some ovulation strips today too hopefully we find them useful 🤞🤞 xx

OP posts:
flossy12 · 22/08/2019 23:57

Ooohh exciting! My fertile window is due on the 23rd according to apps 🤞🏻

well think I might have a bug tbh, had back ache, headache, loose stools (sorry tmi, normally only get this before AF is due) and a breakout also been SUPER tired but think my thyroid levels may be contributing to that (I'm due a check again in Oct)

None of these are pre OV symptoms so no idea what's going on with me 🤔
