TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@flossy12 eeeeek I'm hoping I follow your footsteps. It's sort of stopped a bit now and AF is 3-4 days away 😬😬😬

@Gigi318 How strange were getting the same symptoms! Hopefully that means we'll get our BFPs together too 😍. Yeah! Still getting the flutters and odd cramp feelings on and off. My nipples are sore too I just had a shower and they were agony 😂.

@flossy12 Haha yeah that's a good mentality to have I think!! Enjoy being pregnant first 😊🤪. Oh wow that's not long!! So frigging exciting!!

@Gigi318 @Hewie30 I so hope you girls get your BFPs! You've been the most supportive people I've had on any thread 😅 even the pregnancy ones!!

@GalaxyGirl24 I think it can take a while sometimes for the body to get back to normal after the pill anyway so I definitely wouldn't count the first month. We pressure ourselves too much on cycle numbers I think.
The doctor said period length didn't matter at all and not to worry about it so that's a relief. I think being regular is more important. He changed my b12 injections to be more regular and prescribed me folic acid 5mg as I'm also deficient in that apparently which is obviously important. I have been taking 400mcg but that's not enough. Fingers crossed this all helps for this cycle!

@makeafamily19 Thanks hun! Ah are you low in b12 and Folate? Have they given you the 5mg folate? That kicks it up pretty good and also can bring up the b12 too so the injections and the folate tablets should hopefully bring your b12 up

@Makeafamily19 yeah that's true, we always stress over every detail. Today I got pins and needles in my foot, Googled if it was a PG symptom and then had to tell myself to get a grip 😂👌🏾 I hope your testing goes well this weekend....glad the doctor has said short periods are ok..if you don't mind me asking what do B12 injections do? (If they're nothing to do with pregnancy and are private just ignore me 🤦🏾‍♀️ never know what's too nosy to ask on here) x

@Hewie30 yeah I've been having the b12 injections for about 4 years but I get low a few weeks before it's due to the point I can hardly function. Dr said tests last year showed I'm low in folate too but they never told me so he said it's now even more important if TTC so gave me a prescription for 5mg for 4 months. Hopefully now I won't feel exhausted as much and relieved I don't have to worry when I do get pregnant.

Hey there! Thought I'd join the convo as I'm also TTC baby no. 1 :) had my Mirena coil removed end of May and no luck still as of yet! However my period is now 2 days late which never normally happens so kinda keeping everything crossed at the moment! Love having this forum to get advice from people and just for the support knowing there's others out there going through it too as it can be quite emotional! Good luck on your journey ☺️☺️ xx

@GalaxyGirl24 you only need b12 injections if you are deficient and not absorbing it. For example if you have pernicious anaemia then you don't have the enzyme that allows you to absorb it from food. I think this is what I have but they aren't sure. It causes a form of anaemia which means you can't transport oxygen around your body, causing lots of symptoms but mainly extreme fatigue, however it can also cause infertility. B12 and folate are needed to develop a baby's spine so they are particularly important in pregnancy.
I'm not testing this weekend, AF came yesterday but don't worry I get so confused on here as to where everyone is in their cycle 🤣

@Hewie30 I know 😬🤞🏻 and similar to Flossy and she got her BFP 😍 I want to say I have a good feeling, but also don't want to jinx us 🙊 my nipples are mainly pointy and sore on and off (not sore boobs though) and they were agony last week, better this! It's more the enormity of them that's freaking me out 🤞🏻

My brain is not working today at all, been working from home and my rate of work has been slow as anything 🤦🏾‍♀️ sorry to hear about AF, it can be so discouraging I hope you're okay. ....also thanks for all that info I didn't know that! It's really interesting! X

@Hewie30 me too 🙊🙈 and I want to be hopeful, but also just a bit nervous. Not worried because what is, is - but wouldn't it just be nice 🤞🏻💖💙 Ahhh I'm scared that they will get bigger and puffier and take over my whole boob. Or hopefully they will get bigger too 😏🤣

@flossy12 wow yes - only 6-7 weeks left woohoo! It's crazy that you kind of miss two weeks when you're not even pregnant, but classed as weeks 1 and 2 🤣 I know two more sleeps (and just one morning wee 😱) to go now! Eeeeek! @flossy12 Wow that's far less blob-like than I thought! Though still not quite human looking, it's amazing how much and how quickly they change and evolve in these stages! Fascinating!

Morning all x how are you doing? My Af seems a bit odd, very little blood, literally tip of the tampax overnight (sorry tmi). I have no cramps but my boobs are not sore anymore which is normal for me when I get AF, so I am pretty sure it is an actual AF. @Hewie30 are you testing today? @Gigi318 what about you?

@Katie1109 How odd! Maybe it's taking its time to fully kick in? Or it's an unusually light one meaning you can get down to business soon again! I suppose there's still a chance of it being IB but I've been there with getting my hopes up over AF so I feel like it's best to try not to!

@Gigi318 Thank you ☺️ CD 15 of me, still on high fertility but haven't had peak yet, both according to the CB OPKs and general feeling - no EWCM or even watery one in sight so far, just loads of lotion-like CM (sorry for the early morning TMI haha). Would be good if peak comes over the weekend, plenty of time to DTD then!

@Raizelrea woohoo, we're in the fun part then. Yay. Have you still been dtd as before peak is always best. Yay!! Hope you peak on Saturday in that case - then we all know what your weekend plans will be hehehe!!! How long are your cycles normally??

I start to wonder whether the mc has done some damage to my system. I took tampax out over 2 hours ago and not a spot of blood on my liner, just pink on whipping. My whole body is aching, the sort of aches you get when you have a flu, but no other flu symptoms, just the muscle pains :( I'm feeling absolutely shattered although I slept really well at night.

@Katie1109 oh no! Definitely doesn't sound right. Are you able to rest much today? I hope you can take it easy. May be worth speaking to gp or gyno??
