TTC Baby number 1 - Looking for buddies

Hi Ladies 🙋,

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd look for some TTC buddies.
I'm 30 and TTC baby number 1, I came off the pill beginning of May and had a withdrawal bleed a few days later then got my first AF 4 weeks after that. Last month I sadly had a chemical it was gutting seeing the faint line go but I guess it wasn't my time!
AF arrived on time Sunday so looks like my cycle ranges from 34-35 days.
I'm currently taking pregnacare and using the Ovia app for ovulation, I'm thinking if I don't concieve by month 6 I'll try ovulation sticks. Onward to month 4 I go 🤣

@Gigi318 it's on my left side below my ribs, I'd say it is level with my belly button x fingers crossed for you :) sorry about your backache, must be annoying. Maybe try some light stretching exercises?

@Katie1109 that is a strange one. Could be body doing it's thing and preparing? Or just a random thing? Thank you - that could help, I was trying to rub it last night but so glad I found a hot water bottle!

@Katie1109 I'm 11DPO and had that sort of pain yesterday, actually had to hold my side at one point. I would love to think it's implantation but I think it's just wind/ AF preparing for me 🤣 I've been getting so many twinges I think I'm driving myself insane!

@Makeafamily19 yes that's exactly what I felt! and I did have to hold my side for a bit! I've been getting twinges too, when is your AF due?

@Katie1109 AF due Monday or Tuesday but I've been spotting since yesterday which is normal for me before AF. How about you?

Same here Mon/Tues @Makeafamily19. No spotting for me, but I never have it. Don't know whether to test over the weekend or not. I had BFN on a cheapie today x When are you testing?

@Makeafamily19 @Katie1109 yay, glad to know you've both had it! And to be honest I think we all think we're going mad sometimes, but then we've got those ladies getting their BFPs to show us something could be happening 🤞🏻

@Gigi318 @Katie1109 I know, you don't notice any of these things until you're TTC 🤣 I'm just waiting for AF to arrive. If she doesn't by Tuesday then I'll test but I'm very confident she's on her way! Disappointed but I guess it's only cycle 3. Doesn't help that my mum and aunts keep telling me the women of our family all conceive straight away! Clearly not!

@Hewie30 hey sweetie! I'm fine 😚 it's mostly just exhaustion! Lack of symptoms is slightly worrying but I'm just trying to keep calm until my reassurance scan on the 28th x

@Makeafamily19 oh goodness no that's not helpful! But we only do get a tiny window each month, so it's not always so simple 🙈 Yes it's crazy, but I really can't say I've had such intense backache before. Lord knows what it is if not! I never lift anything or do manual labour (aside from cleaning, love to clean) so it's very odd! Hot bath for me this evening 👌🏻

@Hewie30 also starting to notice my boobs feeling slightly heavier and nipples are definitely more sensitive, I'm contemplating getting another digital to see if it says more than 1-2 weeks just to reassure myself 😅😅

@Gigi318 Yeah I am trying to think positive, fingers crossed for cycle 4!
Hope the pain eases, I find yoga helps back pain (I get it a fair bit from desk working), a hot bath sounds good, might have one myself tonight!

@flossy12 lots of women get no symptoms for the first 8 weeks. My friend had pretty much no symptoms for her whole pregnancy and had a healthy little boy, so I wouldn't worry yourself. It must be great seeing the digitals though so I don't blame you wanting to get another one to see it change!

@Makeafamily19 and you're still in the game right now - it could be cycle 3 🤞🏻 it's driving me nuts but the hot water bottle is helping. I run and do pilates, so I'm hoping it'll ease off by now. I'm sure a morning sun salutation might help me if its still horrific tomorrow!

That's true about the symptoms. My mother just very much got on with it, said pregnancy was a breeze. So that's reassuring. I'd like to hope I will follow her, but who knows 🤷‍♀️

@flossy12 Awh don't worry hun, not having many symptoms can have for some ladies 😘, it's perfectly normal. Like the others said you can sometimes not get any symptoms until 8 weeks, I say make the most of them while you don't have them 😀🤣. A friend of mine is 8 weeks and she's suffering really badly with morning sickness bless her!

@Hewie30 @flossy12 it's a catch 22, isn't it? Frustrating if there are symptoms but then also when you hear of other having symptoms you think 'should I be having them? Is everything okay? We're damned if we do, damned if we don't!

@Gigi318 Definatly!! I think no matter what we'll always worry or think something 😊.

That's why it's a good thing that we're all supporting eachother, hopefully we'll help eachother through it!

@Hewie30 yes absolutely. And before I started this 'journey', I always thought I'd get pregnant and just get on with it. Little did I know that when you actually get to this stage you're constantly thinking about everything and analysing your body. It's just nuts. I'm a woman possessed 🙈

I so agree. Everyone is so lovely and we're all in this together. Who knew such a lovely community existed!

@Gigi318 haha yes I guess I'm still in till AF shows, I just hate getting my hopes up.

It's so nice to have other people to chat to with this whole process. I hope we all get our BFPs soon so we can hope over to the pregnancy threads and symptom spot there instead 🤣

@Gigi318 oh my god definatly!!! When I came off the pill I was all for the 'relaxed approach' and 'seeing how it went' but after a few months I definitely thought more into symptoms and my body 😂. You always think it'll be easier then it actually is, and why is it when you want to get pregnant EVERYONE is with no hassle but you 🤷

@makeafamily19 Ahhh yesss!! Come on our BFP's 😍😍😍. Literally can't wait until we're all over there together

@Makeafamily19 very true - but if AF not here then you're still in the game. So many women say they get BFNs up until a few days or weeks after AF was due! Hahaha so funny yes, we're literally going to symptom spot right through to labour, aren't we 🙈

@Hewie30 crazy, isn't it? And those that accidentally get pregnant too. And we're over here like 👀 I'm only cycle one, but where I know my body so well, I'm like what is going on. All so new 🤣 Yay can't wait till we're over there!!!

@flossy12 yay always handy for a bit of reassurance. And I can imagine it's amazing seeing that BFP written out. I'd want to do it every day just to see. Mind you, at the kind of cost it would be to do that, it'd be cheaper to invest in an ultrasound machine 🙊

@gigi318 Yeah exactly 😂, we're over here like why aren't we getting pregnant are you are so quickly or by accident 🤣🤷. Some on eggs and sperm 🤣

@Hewie30 exactly! The bodies are magical things, aren't they! I'm feeling really poorly this morning, OH saying I have a bug 😂🙈 who bloody knows. I feel like I'm going mad! How are you today??
