Fecking TWW limbo torture

We are currently TTC #3. DC are 7 and 4 going into Juniors and Reception this year. DP has always been on the fence about whether to have anymore until early this year and now he’s as enthusiastic as me that it’s the right thing for us.

Both DC took 12-18 months to conceive and we got our hopes up so many times each time only to feel rubbish when it wasn’t to be. We haven’t been trying half as long this time and yet I’m convinced this month is the month, not for no reason. I had what I think was possibly implantation spotting yesterday evening and I’m crampy but milder than with AF and I feel a bit sick and knackered today.

I know it will take a couple of days for HCG to build up enough for a BFP if this is the case (didn’t stop me POAS this morning and getting a BFN). The sensible part of me is trying to stop myself from getting my hopes up as I know it could just as easily be my body messing with me and the start of AF a few days early but I can’t stop convincing myself I’m pregnant. Arrrrggg

Got to say I’m really glad I started this thread, strange as it might sound given how much I talk on here, I’m too shy to jump on the ones I’ve been lurking on when they are busy and I never seem to catch them early on 😖

You lot all seem lovely, I feel so much better being able to talk about this stuff and there’s not a chance I’m opening up to people in real life about this.

Yes there's something to be said about being around people who get it and understand.

He's working nights now so we are like ships passing in the night. We get an hour or two in the evening to cook dinner together as i dont get home till gone 6 and then he leaves at 8. It's hard going but there may be a chance for him to change his working patterns soon so I am just making the best of it as he loves his job and hoping it changes soon. Not very easy to make babies when he does shifts like that. That said I've not left him alone this month. I suggested a bit tonight and he was too tired!

How is your other half coping with all of this?

He’s actually been amazing. He drives me up the bloody wall from time to time but it’s times like this I realise how good we are together. It’s weird because I’m normally the calm rational one and he stresses and overthinks but he really manages to step up with this and make me feel like I’m human again 😂

I have a question, I can't find answer anywhere on the internet.

If my test has sensitivity of 10miu and it shows half dark, does it mean that there is only 5miu in my urine? I mean if there is exactly 10miu would the lines be equally dark?

I am just asking as my tests are getting stronger but quite slowly and it got me worried! 😕

No idea how many days past ovulation I am because my (I don't think v accurate) temping told me one thing and Clue (which I've been using for 2+ years and is always pretty much right) told me another. 🤷‍♀️ Either way hopefully I'll know by next week - trying to hold off on testing until Monday or Tuesday.

@AlmostLondoner those lines look amazing!!! I doubt the strength of the line is that accurate in terms of measurement. Be happy and try not to worry xxx

@littledinosaurs welcome to the thread. My AF isn't due for another week. I feel like the wait is making me nuts and inevitably like every other month I will get a BFN. gosh I'm such a positive joy

Well, I did an extra-sensitive test this morning (thanks for the info @Secretsquirrelisfedup), and my second bog-standard one for good measure and... BFP!! It looks as though cycle 8 was our lucky one.

AF is due in 6 days and I just want to know one way or another.
I keep googling stuff but so much of the advice and information out there contradicts one another that I'm not sure what to believe. Don't seem to have much in the way of cm but my cervix is high and very soft and wet.
I nearly caved this morning and did a test but dp gets a bit so I didn't.

It’s horrible being so close and yet so far from knowing one way or the other isn’t it. X
