AF/BFP due 17th July

Hello ladies,
I know there are already couple of threads open for aug, but thought would be nice to share the experience with anyone who's due similar time to myself.

AF due 17th Aug
I'm 30 years old
TTC cycle 2
CD 14 (of a average 25/26 day cycles)
I got positive OPK CD 11 through to CD13
We BD CD11 & CD 13
Been taking preconception vitamins & preseed

Convinced myself last cycle was the one by taking every twinge and symptoms as a positive.
This 2ww can drive you crazyHoping not to look into symptoms too much this time.
Anyone else out there just starting their TWW?
Hope to keep each other sane during this time.

Thanks so much all. I have just heard that I've got a job interview today as well... so yeah. Big day for me! No idea what I'm going to do. Will have to take the weekend to get my thoughts in order. So so glad we haven't planned to do anything.

Now 12do and just did this with afternoon wee (probably 5hrs hold) and it's telling me I had a miraculous conception before even DTD started! I did Google about high HCG and it's associated with some not so good outcomes so I think I need to put down Google and live in the moment I think.

yeah although we love it google is not always a very good friend! I've seen some people say the date on those aren't that great..where they've been further ahead but marks them lower so maybe its the same.. or maybe higher HCG is twins!

Such good news... so happy for you guys

I caved in and tested this evening... bfn with a clear blue test. But then read it's hcg detection level is 25
Got feeling AF will show her face tomorrow... I always start on my predicted day....not sure if I should use a first response tomorrow morning or hold off and only test now if AF doesn't show tomorrow

@Mezza610 thanks! If I was you I would hold off until sunday to take the other test if you think AF always comes on the right day!

I've taken 3 diff tests today cause I just cant believe it! Haven't even told OH yet lol I ordered him a wee card to come in the post tomorrow so he can find out that way so its killing me not telling anyone!!

Morning all, I did a test this morning although my period is in full flow and I saw a line. It is still not very bright but definitely clearer than yesterday's. It is either chemical or real but not very strong. I'm going to do my blood test. Gutted that this is happening again.

I'm sorry @NavyBerry this must be so confusing for you :( didn't you say you had implantation during your period last time? Could this be similar?x

@SunnySunshine1990 my last one was a total surprise for me as the period started on time. I kept bleeding for over two weeks and then finally took a test, it was positive. A week after I was diagnosed a blighted ovum My hcg was over 4000 when I had to have a surgery. Sorry for dragging this positive thread down. I'm waiting for my hcg and progesterone levels. Should be ready by the evening. We are due to travel next week so this is not a great timing for having a miscarriage

That must have been awful 😢 such a rollercoaster of emotions. No need to apologise at all, this is what the threads are for, the highs and the lows x

@NavyBerry I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. It sounds so incredibly tough. But you are strong, and can make it through this for sure. I'm so glad you have been able to get bloods today at least to get some answers hopefully. I can definetely see a line on that test. Fingers crossed for some good news. Sending you virtual hugs and support.

@Greenwhale has your DP come home yet? Must've been hard without him there. Hope you've been able to have a hug by now. :) I took a cb this morning and it said 3+ weeks(!) which would not be possible either haha.

I'm okay, did another test this morning and was bfn, hopefully AF will just come tomorow or Monday so we can move on to next cycle!

Considering speaking to the doctor as my cycles are stupidly irregular, I've looked into Clomid but I presume they don't just prescribe it willy nilly and tests may need to be done.
I had blood work taken a year ago which came back "normal" the doctor said it was probably due to coming off my pill but it's been two years now so surely should have settled down by now?!x

@Greenwhale @littledinosaurs omg it was SOOO hard keeping it to myself for almost a day!! His card arrived and I 'tricked' him into opening it.. and he didn't get it straight away lol! Then caught on but he cant believe it.. me either! I've taken about 5/6 tests and a FRER today. && now ive told my mum, dad and sister couldn't help myself lol!

I guess I just need to phone the doctors on monday to see what goes on next! And do I buy a clear blue for the date test or naa? Haha

Hoping I can join this thread.

I'm 30 TTC second child. I had a Minerva coil removed in April and have had 33-34 day cycles since.

AF was due on Tuesday but no signs of it arriving, although have had mild cramps and backache for a week. I've had two BFN but hoping that I either get a BFP within the next week or AF arrives as I'm currently on day 38! And worried my cycle is completely off. I do have mild PCOS but was hoping it wouldn't affect me as my periods have been so regular! Any advice would be so welcome!

@littledinosaurs unfortunately he's not back for another two weeks and only for two days before he goes again for five weeks but then very minimal travelling from then on! All I want is a cuddle from him right now but regular chats are helping. We've agreed I can tell a friend who lives nearby so I have someone incase anything happens whilst he is away but I'm going to leave off telling her for a week to so. Your CB result makes me feel like they are just a bit rubbish at dating - @Nova324 I don't think they're any point a digital from our experiences! Sounds like such a lovely way to break the news to OH[smile

@SunnySunshine1990 sorry about your BFN. Surely your GP should do something if it's been 2 years. Maybe see another doctor in the surgery as they might take a different stance and do some further investigations/referral?

@NavyBerry I hope you've had some good news. Been thinking of you lots.

@Tdmama welcome! I think the coil can mess up your cycles a bit. Have you tracked your ovulation as perhaps you have ovulated late this month so would expect BFP or AF a bit later? I haven't got PCOS but from other threads it sounds as though it can effect things but the fact you have DC1 and regular cycles would suggest it doesn't for you so fx for a BFP in the next few days!

Thank you, everyone, for your tremendous support! It really helps to come to terms with what's happening. My tests are back. My hcg is 19 and my progesterone is 6. If the first can be so low as it is just early, the second is far too low to support a pregnancy. I'm seeing a doctor at 9am tomorrow. Hopefully, I will get some treatment. I don't mind if it's chemical. I just don't want another miscarriage later. I'm still having cramps and period like bleeding. Told DH, he is gutted as well

@Greenwhale thank you!! I have been tracking my cycles via an App. But haven't done ovulation tests etc, just assumed the app was correct! Fingers crossed for a bfp or for AF to arrive so at least I know where I am!!

@SunnySunshine1990 My last cycles have been 27, 41, 40, 34, 28, 31, 32, 36, 40... you get the idea. I've been worried about being irregular/not ovulating. Clue app told me to see a GP. I came off the pill two years ago as well after taking it for 8+ years mostly consistently. So definitely worth getting it checked again for peace of mind but just wanted you to know everything might be fine if you're similar?

Oh @Greenwhale that sucks but glad he's back soonish and mostly for good after that. You've got this. Is the friend close by a good one? We haven't told anyone else yet either so it's helping so much chatting to you guys. @Nova324 to be fair to cb it could be 3 weeks (but not 3+). Didn't think that was at all likely but given how heavy/sore my boobs are feeling right now I'm starting to wonder!! How're you guys feeling?

Thank you so much, everyone! Xxx I'm still bleeding. My tests are not any brighter so fingers crossed it's just a chemical and I will be back on track soon. On the positive side, now I know how my body feels when I'm pregnant so next time I'll be more aware of what's going on. I will go and see a doctor before we try again.

Just a quick update, I went to the doctors to discuss irregular cycle and struggling to conceive, also still haven't had my period.
I am in a brand new surgery and explained that my bloods last year came back normal so what does she advise? She looked at my notes and told me that I have PCOS and that my bloods were not normal!!!!! I couldn't believe it, I was so mad!!

This doctor was amazing though and has referred me to a fertility clinic, my appointment is in 2 weeks time which I didn't expect to happen so soon. She also thinks this cycle has been anovulatory, my LH surge lasted a good few days and I didn't get the usual ovulation pain either so kinda makes sense.

I knew something wasn't right and I am feeling positive that we can finally get some help now xx

@SunnySunshine1990 that is unbelievable! How neglectful of your previous GP. I'm sorry to hear all this. But at least your new GP sounds proactive and on the ball. 2 weeks to be seen is also brilliant!

@NavyBerry I hope you can get back on the TTC bandwagon in the next few days. Is there any plan for follow up bloods or is it now just a case of waiting for a neg pregnancy test?

I've managed to blab to two friends now but just felt that I needed some real life face to face support and OH being away couldn't do that and was happy for me to share with some close friends. Fx this bean sticks. Got through my midwife and 12 week scan appt today which is very scary! We go for a 6 week private scan in 2 weeks time to hopefully put my stressy mind at rest for a bit until then anyway.
