First flashing smiley on clear blue advanced

Hi this is going to sound really daft but this is our 2nd cycle of TTC and thought this month we would try the Clearblue advanced OPK as heard good reviews and one of our friends used it and got pregnant so I started testing yesterday and got a blank smiley but today I got a flashing smiley don't know why but I'm quite excited about this. Anybody else had the same feeling when using them or just me? 🤣🤣

I had a feeling something was happening as this morning I started feeling bloated and been like it all day but according to my app tracker this happens 4 or 5 days before I ovulate and my CM has changed slightly tonight which I've been keeping a close eye on the last few months so fingers crossed this month x

@Bumpingalong84 I started testing on CD 10 and was low until CD 14 then CD 15 16 and 17 were high then back to low again!🤷🏼‍♀️
I’ve bought an Ava expensive layout but I figure the amount I’m spending on CB sticks it will work out cheaper!
It’s so confusing

Ahh how frustrating 😩 I wonder if your surge is just really short and you miss it. If you have any left I’d be tempted to test twice a day once you get your flashing. I’ve heard of the Ava bracelet, let us know how you get on.

@Bumpingalong84 we’ve been DTD every other day anyway and I’ve ordered some cheapy sticks, I’ll do them all next month until I run out of CB ones 😂 I’ve only worn abs for 3 nights and I think it has to get used to your body and data for a month but it’s very clever and interesting seeing all the info in the morning.

Hi ladies AF was due today but nothing. So done a first response and got my BFP!!! Can't stop crying at the minute as didn't think we had done enough this month and was already planning what we would do different next month!

My boobs are really sore worse than previous months and my nipples tingle on and off last Friday I felt really light headed and sickly. Yesterday was the big one for me I started with a really watery mouth and dry retching and I usually start spotting day before AF which was yesterday but nothing. Saturday I had really bad AF cramps on and off so thought it was on her way and last night through the night they were really intense. Apart from sore boobs, feeling light headed and a watery mouth I've had nothing else at the minute. I woke up this morning expecting AF cause of the bad cramping x

@FearnRJ wow sounds like lots of symptoms I've just been really thirsty so not feeling too hopeful x

@mrssunshinexxx I wasn't very hopeful this month didn't seem to be having symptoms until I've actually thought about it.

It's our 2nd month trying and was symptom spotting like crazy last month so said I wasn't doing that this month so I didn't

I started using the clear blue advanced test this month (only started testing around my fertile window, as I wanted to see if my app was actually accurate!) I kept getting a circle the first few days, so got really worried and upset and thought maybe I don’t ovulate!? Then I went from a circle straight to a solid smiley face the next day!!!!

Going through this long 2 weeks wait now!!!

Yes I've told him he cried a little bit which set me off again too. It still hasn't really properly sunk in yet, sounds weird when it was planned. And I still keep expecting AF to show up we've done another test together tonight and still BFP! X

Aww it’s so amazing and you’ll walk round all week with a grin on your face. I remember that feeling well with my first pregnancy, even tho it was planned it was a huge shock and we expected it to take months. Enjoy every minute.

I had a sharp temp drop today so fully expecting AF to come today! I'm fine though as I've been on holiday and drinking during the 2ww so wasn't expecting much, I'm going to go full steam ahead for September 😄

It’s so so hard keeping it quiet with our first pregnancy, luckily all went went 😊 it’s just a super exciting time and kinda nice keeping it quiet.

@SunStruck I’m with you, all engines go for September. We have a wedding on the 14th so feel a little more relaxed this month, if it happens amazing, if it doesn’t at least I can drink at the wedding as I’d know by then one way or another! It’s DD birthday at the end of October, i’d Love to be pregnant by then.

Morning everyone,
So with the frustration of not having a static smiley and it driving me crazy I bulk bought cheaply ones from amazon for next month and some Pregancy tests too (as I’m sure I’m addicted to peeing on sticks and it’s a rather expensive addiction).
How reliable are they? My AF is due next Thursday. Thoughts please? Xx

Ohh @Lf803 that’s so frustrating. How many flashing have you had? What day of your cycle are you?

I've been nervous about never getting the static face (6 days in a roll of blinking smiley), and thought something was wrong as I had egg white cervical mucus already (2 days ago) and always thought ovulation would occur close to this discharge. Today I tested around noon and the static face was there - so girls try not to stress too much if you see many days of blinking smiley and if it does not match your predictions. I came here to contribute as this forum helped me a lot to manage expectations. As per clear blue, I am ovulating later than I always thought it'd normally come.

I had my flashing smiley yesterday and my steady smiley this morning :)
