First flashing smiley on clear blue advanced

Hi this is going to sound really daft but this is our 2nd cycle of TTC and thought this month we would try the Clearblue advanced OPK as heard good reviews and one of our friends used it and got pregnant so I started testing yesterday and got a blank smiley but today I got a flashing smiley don't know why but I'm quite excited about this. Anybody else had the same feeling when using them or just me? 🤣🤣

I had a feeling something was happening as this morning I started feeling bloated and been like it all day but according to my app tracker this happens 4 or 5 days before I ovulate and my CM has changed slightly tonight which I've been keeping a close eye on the last few months so fingers crossed this month x

Ohh @SunStruck I got 7 before my static so feel your pain. 🤞for tomorrow. Have you looked at the sticks when you eject them? Are they getting any darker?

SunStruck · 06/08/2019 08:43

@Bumpingalong84 didn't even know you could do that haha! So I have just been for a scan to check what's happening, and we saw a 1.3mm follicle developing, probably ready in 2 days! So should be ovulating then. And my lining looked really good they said, happy now!

At least I'm back in the game 😎

FearnRJ · 06/08/2019 09:27

Think I'm out this month ladies yesterday tea time I had strong ovulation pains so did a test a cheapy one as the line was really dark so did a Clearblue and it was static so think I'll ovulate later today but we haven't DTD since Friday we tried to DTD last night but DH is starting to feel the pressure so couldn't finish the same happened Sunday night too, feeling a little bit sad TBH as we were on track. But I do understand cause there's a lot of pressure with baby making and romance is out of the window! This is our 2nd month of trying so still early days but think I want a break from it for a few months and just see what happens cause I very much doubt just DTD Friday will do it this month x

@SunStruck sounds promising then! Good luck ❤️ x

For some reason it won’t let me see the last two posts. Are you using the purple clear blue sticks?

SunStruck · 06/08/2019 10:05

@Bumpingalong84 yes the digital one!

Bumpingalong84 · 06/08/2019 10:07

Ohh @FearnRJ I feel for you, it’s so hard when you get so many flashing too as I know we did it a lot then but after 7 days of it you get pretty exhausted. I’m hoping we still have a chance but who knows till AF shows. You never know Friday night still might have some swimmers up there ready to meet the egg!

FearnRJ · 06/08/2019 11:24

@Bumpingalong84 I had 3 days of flashing and then a static.

Maybe but I'm not getting my hopes up and really we've only DTD once during my fertile days so don't think that's enough.

We will see what happens, not sure if next month just to take a more relaxed approach and not use OPKs and just DTD whenever we feel like it. I know roughly when I ovulate and I have fertile CM around that time so I know when it's coming and always get sore boobs when it's happening. Not sure whether that will help or not but it's worth a go I suppose. Like I say I'm tempted to just take a break from it and just see what happens.

Try to conceive is so stressful and there is so much pressure and some people don't even try and fall pregnant like one of our friends did, I know every couple is different.

I just have to keep thinking it will happen when the time is right and everything happens for a reason ❤️ x

Exactly, you know your rough fertile window so enjoy the rest of summer and see what happens. It’s so hard, I had some close people pregnant around me at the beginning of the year before our mmc and it’s been hard but I’m trying to stay relaxed about things. Like you, if it doesn’t happen this month I think I’ll just see how it goes next cycle without testing.

FearnRJ · 06/08/2019 11:47

@Bumpingalong84 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Be nice to stay in touch and see how we all get on. Nobody actually tells you how hard it can be to be honest for some reason I didn't think it would be difficult but it feels like it is at the minute x

@FearnRJ I know it can be really stressful :( and the poor DH's, it's stressful for them too which we are forgetting at times. But it is so frustrating about the tiny fertile window, to get it right.

Maybe try SMEP next month? Every other day is probably a bit less stressful than trying to do it everyday (we have done and I'm over it ha-ha!)

FearnRJ · 06/08/2019 15:00

@SunStruck we were doing SMEP but missed a few days x

@SunStruck @Bumpingalong84 we have managed to DTD tonight I ovulated some time this afternoon. My boobs have gone really sore and heavy which they always do around ovulation and I did a cheap OPK at tea time and it's gone really faint. So fingers crossed we caught it! X

SunStruck · 07/08/2019 02:59

@FearnRJ oh well done!!! :) in TWW now, how exciting!

I know I'll ovulate in 3-6 days pending on how quickly the follicle grows (I've aggressively googled haha!). Hoping to be joining you soon 😄

Bumpingalong84 · 07/08/2019 08:33

Ahhh @FearnRJ welcome to the tww it’s sooooo long 😂 really hope we get a good result this month.

I’m 6dpo I’ll be testing at the weekend if no sign of AF. I’t hard to think I still should be pregnant and I want to be again.

FearnRJ · 07/08/2019 11:26

@Bumpingalong84 @SunStruck don't think it will have happened this month as only DTD twice during my fertile days but who knows!

I wasn't looking forward to the TTW as it was hell last month! 🤣🤣

Have either of you heard of pre seed or used it? I've been looking at reviews and it seems to look really good! Tempted to give it a try next month if unsuccessful this month.

Fingers crossed for us all ladies 🤞x

OP posts:
Yakadee · 07/08/2019 15:20

@FearnRJ - it only takes once! 🤞

I know you didn't ask me specifically, however I did use preseed. The first month I used it I got my bfp! I would certainly use it again if ttc x

FearnRJ · 07/08/2019 15:27

@Yakadee where did you get it from... boots? This is cycle 2 of ttc so if don't happen this month think I'll try it next month as heard good things about it x

OP posts:
Yakadee · 07/08/2019 17:11

@FearnRJ - Yeah it was boots. It's quite pricey but it was certainly worth it for me. I now have a 6mo x

SunStruck · 07/08/2019 17:31

@FearnRJ oh I'm using it this cycle! First time. Let's see how it goes when I actually ovulate haha, I have wasted 2 little packs already!

FearnRJ · 07/08/2019 17:38

@Yakadee @SunStruck how many uses do you get out of it? X

OP posts:
FearnRJ · 07/08/2019 17:42

I'm already planning next month and I don't know if we've been successful this month yet 🤣🤣 x

OP posts:
SunStruck · 07/08/2019 19:01

@FearnRJ I buy Conceive plus pre-filled applicators - 8 in one pack :) it is same as preseed.
