TTC first baby

Hi,
I'm on cycle 5 of TTC with first child. I used clear blue advanced ovulation test for the first time last month and have purchased another one to use this month also. I'm on day 7 of this cycle and am planning on starting ovulation testing on day 12 as I ovulated on day 17 last month. I have a pretty regular 27 day cycle (no longer than 29 days).
I know it's still early days but I feel like it's never going to happen. I can't imagine actually getting a positive result. Is anyone else in a similar position and want to be on this journey with me?

@tryingforbabyone no I'm the same don't usually get to be "late" apart from when I was taking pregnacare so I don't usually have to worry about testing!! Milky white CM is a good sign though 😀

@MummaR92 I would class this as your second cycle!! This is my fifth cycle and I'm 11dpo today not had much today apart from woke up with cramps but they didn't last too long..

@Ginfizz90 how you getting on? What tests did you use?

Ok so today I've had like a pinching pain on one side of my tummy. I'm currently 8dpo so I'm hoping this is a good sign!!

Hi all,
I'm a newbie.
Af due this Friday/Saturday. I had 2 bfn's today. It's my 3rd cycle TTC for our first baby.
Feeling ridiculously tired and my boobs started to ache at about 6DPO, 8-9DPO I had terrible heartburn which I never suffer from. I'm 13DPO today. Somehow do not feel very hopeful though :(

Hi @Katie1109 I'm due AF Friday/Saturday too.. I'm 12dpo today.. BFN are the worst thing to get, did you use a sensitive test?? Still early days yet 😀

@MummaR92 sounds promising! Keep us updated with any other signs!!

@Katie1109 welcome! Signs seem promising. Do you usually get any symptoms before AF or is this the first time? Still early. I would give it till Sunday or Saturday if you can’t wait and if AF hasn’t arrived try a sensitive test. 😊

I used clear blue advanced digital ovulation tests and first response pregnancy tests and a clear blue. I did have the IC too which I did first, the line was barely visible but very obvious on the first response.

Thank you everyone. I have used cheap test from amazon. My boobs are always sore before af but don’t remember ever feeling this tired. Sitting at home now and feeling some tingling and minor cramps so it will probably be my af. It may sound strange but I also feel weirdly wet down there and have no idea what that means. I had no IB at all, but not everyone gets them right? Or am I just being naive?

@Ginfizz90 I had a weird warm sensation in my tummy 5dpo and then tingling in my boobs 6dpo. This was followed by lower back ache and very mild cramps/dull ache and sore boobs. My boobs are still tender now but worse when I'm wearing a bra and today I've had really bad stomach ache but I don't think that's even a symptom so that must be due to something else I guess. I think all of this may have been me having too much time to think as I'm on summer holidays though and not feeling very positive. Due AF on Sunday so might wait until Monday/ Tuesday to test if I get that far.

BFN for me this morning with FMU. 14 DPO. According to mumsnet calendar af should arrive today, but my Flo app shows tomorrow. AF is always with me first thing when I wake up though. Boobs are still extremely sore and woke up with a bit of nusea :(

@Katie1109 what test did you use? I have heard that sometimes it takes a bit longer for BFP to show if you implant late. Not very good advice but I think all you can do is wait to see if AF arrives and if not test again in a few days 😣

Do you usually have sore boobs & sickness when your due AF?

Hi @May2311, I used a cheap test from amazon. I had no IB, but hoping I'm one of those women who doesn't get them :(. I always have sore boobs before AF, but this time they started to be sore much earlier and no I don't usually feel nauseous.
I'm not too hopeful though :(

@katie1109 from what I have googled( I research everything😂) IB isn’t that common so I wouldn’t be too concerned if you don’t get it. I suggest you see how you go and try a better test (perhaps FRER) if AF doesn’t arrive.

It’s so hard the TTC journey and really doesn’t help when our bodies decide to not act normal as it sets our minds racing!!!

Thank you @May2311! I know I researched it myself, I feel like I spent most of my time during 2WW on google. I just feel like my own body and mind works against me. I'm sitting at work now in front of my computer and getting hot flushes - menopause at the age of 29? Lol, I feel like if someone looks at me the wrong way today, they will regret it!

Hi ladies. AF due today, normally I wake up and it’s there but no sign of it, no cramps either. Boobs still very sore but I had a bfn with cheap test using FMU. Don’t really know what’s going on. Going to buy first response today and test tomorrow if it does not arrive.

@katie1109 - yes I would defo get a FRER and test in morning again if AF doesn’t arrive. Are you usually regular or can your AF differ each month?

I’m always regular @May2311. My cycles are bang on 27 days every time, but it’s day 28 today and no af x

How’s everyone doing? I have a week left before AF due and it’s starting to drag. I think I need to chill a bit more next month🙄. I started out ok but it is when I hit the TWW it just takes over!!

12 o’clock and still no af. Heartburn and sore boobs. Bought first response to test tomorrow morning if af doesn’t arrive x
