TTC first baby

Hi,
I'm on cycle 5 of TTC with first child. I used clear blue advanced ovulation test for the first time last month and have purchased another one to use this month also. I'm on day 7 of this cycle and am planning on starting ovulation testing on day 12 as I ovulated on day 17 last month. I have a pretty regular 27 day cycle (no longer than 29 days).
I know it's still early days but I feel like it's never going to happen. I can't imagine actually getting a positive result. Is anyone else in a similar position and want to be on this journey with me?

I get so fed up of reading so much into every twinge etc. I'm actually fine even when AF arrives I just hate this torturous two week wait.

@May2311 yeah I never really realised the enormous amount of women that were struggling with conceiving but until your in it yourself and for me I thought it would be a much easier process. I'm always on the look out for new things to try and I don't think that helps the process at all..

@Ginfizz90 😁 it's true because I got to the stage where I was reading the same threads over again in case I'd missed something was driving myself batty.. yes this TWW is horrible just wishing it away so the next cycle can begin. I know you should be positive in the TWW but I'm more realistic with myself so I'm not so disappointed when AF shows up.

It's good to know so many women are in the same position. No one talks about the struggles TTC.
My friends all have children and all got pregnant either by accident or on the first couple of months trying so I'm like, why isn't it that easy for me.

I got so frustrated that I was doing all the right things and it still didn't happen.

All I can say is, when we all finally get that good news we're waiting for, it will be all the more special because you've waited so long for it.

My husband came home from work last night to me in floods of tears because I'm on my period. Poor man lol.

@Samantha11K your definitely not the only one and I'm sure your husband completely understands 🙂

@littlelisa34 yeah he does and he's been amazing throughout this whole process. He always says I need to just relax.
I get upset because I know how much he wants a baby too so every month I feel like I'm letting him down.
It's easy to forget how hard it is on them as well as us isn't it x

@Samantha11K I find that really difficult aswell because I feel if I'm upset he has to be strong but he's also find it difficult too and I don't want him to think I'm blaming him or something

@Samantha11K I know relaxing is a lot easier said than done but your both in it together and see each other through your bad days like yesterday, because me and my partner both work some crazy hours we try and make as much time as possible for each other which I know is impossible sometimes but I find if I can just tell him exactly how I'm feeling rather than keeping it to myself and then it all comes flooding out it makes the unsuccessful months that little bit easier on us both x

@tryingforbabyone yeah I'm the same, you feel guilty being upset because it's like you're saying it's their fault too.
Obviously I'm totally not and I'm lucky he has been so understanding and laid back about it. He helps keep me grounded!

@littlelisa34 it is so much easier said than done. I annoy myself because with anything else, I'm a really chilled person but TTC turned me into a mental woman 😂

I feel a lot better about things today and have a clearer head than yesterday. Bloody hormones 🙄

@Samantha11K 😀 I'm glad you feel better today emotions can get the better of us some times but your moving closer to your next fertile window now which is a good thing 🤪

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a nice day. I am having one of those days today where even though I am only CD 13 I feel like it isn’t going to be our month. I have no idea why I feel like this as it’s so early in the cycle( I won’t ovulate till next week I don’t think) and it isn’t like we will struggle DTD as we are both on leave from work!! Does anyone else ever feel like that before the TWW has even begun?

I'm 9dpo today and my boobs are sore so i thought take a test, not first morning see and quite diluted....

@May2311 I know exactly where your coming from Hun feeling negative comes with the territory of TTC.. as hard as it might be try and stay positive because you just never know what's round the corner x

@Ginfizz90 did you only have tender boobs? How many dpo are you?

@tryingforbabyone yes I definitely had tender boobs, but only my left one for the first few days and now both!! They almost feel fiery it's very odd.

Only 9dpo so very early days yet, I will try a digital in a few days I think to confirm.

My birthday is Wednesday so without getting my hopes up too much it would be the most magical present!

@littlelisa34 thanks! I know I just need to keep positive and try not to stress about it. I am sure all of our time will come eventually! I wouldn’t mind waiting if I knew when it was gonna happen🙈 it’s the not knowing that I struggle with!!

Has anyone tried SMEP?
