It’s time for a new thread for a lovely bunch of ladies supporting each other through our TTC efforts, possible IVF plans, possible alternative life journeys and adventures with or without babies after the age of 35. Think that about sums it up Grin

@BambiOnIce80 @79andnotout @CNizzle @VenusStarr @QuantumGirl @Carley321 @Wannabemum38 @Russkispy @Kescilly @Laney79 @Weathergirl1 @Pinkywoo @birdbybird

I’ve included everyone who has posted on the last four pages of the previous thread. Hope that’s o.k as I know some of you have graduated to another thread, but still like to check in and apologies if i’ve missed anyone.

Lots of luck to everyone at whatever stage we’re at 💕

Ps @VenusStarr that is definitely the right attitude, going to take each day as it comes. I hope that in time your anxiety eases. I never saw a heartbeat during my first pregnancy as by the time we went to the EPU it had stopped, so I'm thinking that if we get to the stage of seeing one that will make me slightly more relaxed x

BambiOnIce80 · 12/08/2019 07:44

@Russkispy your strength is second to none ❤️ Good luck with the next steps of your DE plan 🍀

Oooh, best of luck with the SMEP @Carley321!! 🍀😁 You've all got far more stamina than me! 😄

I hope you're first official TWW goes quickly @wannabemum38 🤞🏻

Another vote for get that wedding planned @CNizzle 💒 Full steam ahead, I would say! 💍 🤩

I think you've got exactly the right attitude @VenusStarr 💖 It's beyond your control (che sera, sera and all that 🔮) and today you are pregnant.x

Not much to report at my end - just waiting for AF to rock up on Thursday or Friday. Made myself sit down with the IVF clinic paperwork yesterday (it's been sat there for months untouched 🙄) and started to try and tentatively come up with plans A, B & C... basically everything hinges on the AMH result/follicle scan, so it's very difficult to get beyond plan A!! It's not sitting well at all with my scientific/strategically planning brain! 😩 Might give the nurse coordinator a ring this week to ask a few questions to help quash the rising anxiety 🙄

wannabemum38 · 15/08/2019 19:47

Hi ladies how.is everyone?
Anxiety has subsided had a good day today in sunshine despite an interview being waste of my time.
Has cramps for last two or three days in lower pelvis and backache but I do get that near AF time which isn't due for a week yet. Funny taste in mouth as well. But am thinking it's just all in my head at the moment.

MrsMc2019 · 15/08/2019 23:26

Hi, I hope it's ok to join this thread.

I'm 39 (40 in April) and TTC after our loss in Feb/Mar (blighted ovum discovered 20th Feb; surgery 8th Mar and retained tissue lost 17th Mar) I have a high BMI (just over 40 ☹️) but I am lighter than I was when I fell pregnant with our angel.

My GP has advised that they believe I have no fertility issues as I had fertility testing last March and I snapped straight back into a regular 28 day (4 day long bleed) cycle afterwards. My GP believes that stress is the biggest issue in preventing me from conceiving just now as I'm getting married next month.

I'm starting to loose my positive outlook on TTC and I'm convinced my BMI is a factor despite my GP advising in their opinion it's not.

A good friend let me know tonight that she'd fallen pregnant and although I'm delighted for her I'm also sad too as my angel's due date is six weeks today.

Lf803 · 17/08/2019 14:24

Does anyone else only ever get flashing smileys?? It’s doing my head in! 🤦🏼‍♀️

BambiOnIce80 · 18/08/2019 09:19

Only one more week of the TWW to go for you @wannabemum38! I hope it doesn't drag 🤞🏻🍀

So sorry to hear what you've been through @MrsMc2019 💐 I'm surrounded by pregnant people at the moment and, like you say, I'm delighted for them and sad for myself at the same time.x

What CD are you on @Lf803? If you started the OPK's early, you might be in for a lot of flashing smileys! 🤞🏻you'll be getting your static soon.x

wannabemum38 · 18/08/2019 10:12

@BambiOnIce80 week yes lots to do before our trip
Got really achy boobs last night and this morning which I got last month a week before AF so I'm not too hopeful really

MrsMc2019 · 18/08/2019 17:25

Thank you @BambiOnIce80 it’s not been easy and at times I feel alone but I’m taking one day at a time, I get married next month so I’m trying my best to concentrate on that xx

Lilimum7 · 19/08/2019 23:31

So I got my results back from rmc not great tbh and I have been told to keep trying and if I mc again that they will test the products for problems.

I’m so sorry to hear your update @Russkispy 😢💕

Sorry for not being in touch ladies and hope everyone is o.k. I’ve been taking a bit of a break from the site and social media - mainly visiting family, friends, reading and trying to be a bit healthier. I started couch to 5k last week. I’m really enjoying it with the added bonus of losing a few lbs 😊 I also ended up having a telephone assessment for counselling and my scores came out that i’m on the borderline for depression/anxiety. I’ve been given a couple of options for counselling/CBT including an online course or telephone sessions. I’m hoping it will help. I also called the clinic again to get the ball rolling for Ivf and they offer 3 free counselling sessions too so think i’m also going to take advantage of that. I’ve always been a bit of a worrier, but my anxiety has definitely got worse since ttc......

Welcome to all the newbies x

BambiOnIce80 · 23/08/2019 18:07

So sorry to hear you've been going through it @PixieN 💙💐 Couch to 5k sounds like an excellent plan (I greatly dislike running, but I always feel much better once I've forced myself out 👟 💪). Counselling also sounds like an excellent idea. My clinic does 3 free sessions too (I wonder if it's a standard thing 🤔) and I'll certainly be taking them up on it. Please keep us updated about when your treatment is due to start.x

Oooh, not long now to wait for your wedding @MrsMc2019!! Very exciting!! 🤩 How are your stress levels doing?

It's really good that your thrombophilia screen is nice and normal @Lilimum7 👍🏻

How's things going at your end @wannabemum38? Any sign of a BFP yet? Still keeping everything crossed for first time lucky for you 🤞🏻🍀

Not much to update on at my end - just had the invoice for our consultant appointment in September, so I guess that's a mini milestone to getting this show on the road... 💸😏

Lilimum7 · 23/08/2019 18:32

Well ladies even with nothing wrong I'm on to loss number 8. I'm at rock bottom and not sure how to get back this time . I was so confident when I saw my bfp, then it disappeared again and now waiting for the mc to complete.

Carley321 · 23/08/2019 18:36

Evening ladies. Just dropping in to say hello 😊.

Good luck to everyone trying their first cycle.

So sorry you’ve been a little down @PixieN. I hate exercise but I do think once it’s done it completely changes your state of mind in a positive way.

@Lf803 I had 13 of the bloody things. Which is why I changed back to the smiley or no smiley ones this cycle. I could have strangled this flashing little faces.

@BambiOnIce80 it’s all becoming very real now. Very exciting and anxious time I bet. Hope your holding up through it all and kitty is still a delightful distraction.

Good luck @wannabemum38 keeping my 🤞 for you.

I also have an aching tummy and legs (which are clear af symptoms) but just feeling a little disheartened that I have them already, when af isn’t due for at least a week.

Carley321 · 23/08/2019 18:37

I’m so sorry @Lilimum7 ❤️

Carley321 · 23/08/2019 18:41

I just realised I never replied @VenusStarr I’m so sorry lol. I am now CD25 about 5/6 dpo I think. Followed smep to a T. But pretty sure I’m out. Hope you are good?

VenusStarr · 23/08/2019 19:22

Hi @Carley321, thanks for asking. I'm not great to be honest.

Had an early scan, too early for a heartbeat, only gestational sac and yolk visible, so slightly behind on my dates. But more worryingly there is a mass near my left ovary which they are concerned is another pregnancy. It's known as a heterotopic pregnancy, technically a type of ectopic. I've got another scan next Friday (my 36th birthday... 😢)

Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞

@Lilimum7 I'm so sorry to hear that 💜 be kind to yourself xxx

Hope everyone else is. X

Lf803 · 23/08/2019 20:31

@BambiOnIce80
Hey! I had 3 flashing smiley days then on to the solid circles. I’m on Cd 23 now guess that’s it again for this month! X I’ve bought an Ava bracket so I’m going to be doing everything next month x

BambiOnIce80 · 24/08/2019 09:23

I thought you'd been very quiet my lovely @Carley321 and now I realise it must be related to the SMEP - you have to be bloody knackered!! 😜 The aching thing might very well be a good sign at 5/6dpo, so please don't count yourself out yet 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀Have you been to Amsterdam yet? Did you have a good time?x

I'm so sorry for what you're going through @Lilimum7 💙💐 Have the clinic looking after you looked at chromosomal analysis yet?

I'm glad you got your solid smileys in the end @Lf803 🙂😉 Sounds like the ava might be a sound investment rather than blowing all your cash on the clear blues 👍🏻

And I'm so sorry to hear you're being put through the ringer again @VenusStarr 😔 If they could see a yolk and sack in your uterus but couldn't make it out by your ovary, is there a chance the mass could just be a benign incidental finding? I'm going to be keeping everything crossed for good news on your scan next Friday 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀

Carley321 · 24/08/2019 10:33

Oh @VenusStarr I’m so sorry you are going through this... a week is an absolute lifetime to wait I bet. I am keeping everything crossed for good news for you next week 🤞🤞🤞. Hope your holding up xxx

Hello @BambiOnIce80 🤣 it was rather shattering actually lol. Although being away (yes in Amsterdam) made it a little easier. We had a brill time, which was why I was so disheartening when the stomach ache and achy hips started (also my side hip thing has started which is a definite af sign for me) because if it hasn’t worked this month, when I’ve been so completely chilled and happy... it’s never going to 🙈.
But yes we loved Amsterdam, it is a brilliant city... much more awesome than we were expecting ❤️

How is the kitty doing?

BambiOnIce80 · 25/08/2019 10:30

I think it will happen for you @Carley321, either the good old fashioned way or with a little help from the NHS - but it will happen ❤️

The goblin child is doing very well, thanks for asking 😺 This is his favourite place to sit whilst I'm doing my make up in the morning - in my make up bag! 😂

Carley321 · 26/08/2019 12:53

@BambiOnIce80 I hope so ❤️ I’m just struggling with being in limbo, still not had any more intrusive tests done so still panicking all isn’t quite right. I just have such a bad feeling and it’s causing me to
Lose any kind of hope 😢.

Aww the kitty pic has cheered me up. He’s so beautiful 😍. Loving his favourite spot to 🤣🤣. Pets are just awesome aren’t they 💜 x

MrsMc2019 · 26/08/2019 13:27

@BambiOnIce80 I'm currently tackling the stress with reiki. Love your cat's wee face ❤️

Carley321 · 30/08/2019 08:25

Hello ladies.

So I wonder if anyone is able to help.
How short a luteal phase is actually something to worry about. I’m not sure when I ovulated but earliest it would have been CD18 and then I start spotting on CD29 af arrives today which made a 30 day cycle. So only an 11/12 day luteal phase. This is to short right?

BambiOnIce80 · 30/08/2019 10:16

Hi'ya @Carley321 - I believe 10 days is considered short, so you're in the normal range there 👍🏻 Sorry AF showed up 💐 Are you going to chase that NHS appointment or is it happening soon? Might help you feel a bit better about it all if you've got a date or two in the diary (it works for me, at least!).x

Thinking of you today @VenusStarr ❤️

How's the wedding prep going @MrsMc2019 and @CNizzle? 💒

Hope everyone else is well?x

We've just slogged our way through our last FW before our first IVF appointment, so now would be an awesome time to stop being infertile and save us about £5,000!💸😏😉

Carley321 · 30/08/2019 11:20

Hmm so just on the edge of normal then @BambiOnIce. I find it strange that doctors don’t even ask about this kind of thing.
I’m still waiting for an appointment. Af is such a witch, I have struggled this month. Having no control is so frustrating.

So we are thinking of booking private for a hsg if my appointment doesn’t arrive before the end of Sept, I am also going to try the Mediterranean diet 🤷‍♀️

Oh I have everything crossed for you 🤞. You never know, you always here that it happens when you least expect it. But if not I can’t believe you are starting ivf... time really does go to quick.

Hope all goes well today @VenusStarr ❤️ X
