Hello all
I'm 36, my OH(other half)is 34 and we are going to be TTC(trying to conceive)this year. We waited until we were settled in our own home, no debt and actually had the space to have a baby - probably a bad move, but OH(other half)well here we are.
I've stopped taking my pill (cerazette) as of today.
Can anyone advise things I need to do/take/get to help the journey?
I'm an only child and my mum had me at 43, and family members have had babies in their late 30s so I am surrounded by positive stories, just hoping that we can have a positive story too.

AF showed yesterday 😢 but by then I knew anyway.

I have a plan for next few months and will try to get OH on board.

Going to take a break and try again properly in April. I’ve been really stressed and I doubt that’s going to help.

My doctor suggested we came in for tests so if April hasn’t been successful then we will do.

It’s hard to find a balance with ‘habit a break’

Do I drink alcohol, do I keep caffeine low, do I keep taking folic acid? Where is the line between having a break from all the work but still not wanting to ruin any chance...either way..

@Blackbelt as a woman who also suffers from mental health issues, I know exactly how you feel. We have been struggling and it can often make our issues worsen. Might I suggest making the intimate time during your fertile time a fun affair? Ever since my hubby has made it more fun We're not as stressed. I can be an ear if you need🙂. This journey can be hard and having others in your same fight to help vent those feelings.

It's honestly so nice to see other people like me and that I'm not as crazy as I thought 😂
Dtd has always been fun once we get in the swing of it, it's the making the effort part...but I've given my tracking app to my partner and deleted it from my phone and said it was his job now lol!
Basically I said this month is off but next month we try properly. As long as be tells me when af may show up then if it doesn't work in April, off to docs and he is happy with all that. Feel a lot better having a plan of sorts.

@Blackbelt I'm doing oky😒. I think I had my peak yesterday but it didn't register and I'm almost out of my fertile days. We didn't DTD yesterday but maybes today. I think I may be out this month. Plus my cm has gotten think so I'm not really sure what's happening. But at least the trying is fun😆

I booked HCG for today and wanted to test prior to that. I was 11dp5dt yesterday and it’s BFP! HCG came back at 1226! And progesterone is greater than 115.1! I’m not surprised about HCG levels as was feeling queasy on Sunday afternoon and Monday. Repeating HCG and progesterone on Friday. 🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 early scan booked in 3 weeks or so. It's very early days of course and I'm taking one day at a time!

So I'm ttc cycle 11. I'm so discouraged! I'm 39 as of January and I'm beginning to think my cm is killing my Husband's sperm and I will never be a mother😒. I'm with giving up or gonna keep trying till it's over. Y mind is garbled and I'm having mixed feelings. In reality I know I don't have much time so I'm thinking...is it worth the sad feeling after every TWW? Long story short. My af came today so I'm out😔.

Time has flown, and I'm supposed to be getting married on Saturday (all being well, and hoping the government doesn't ban it) typical... I wait 17 years for a proposal just to have the carpet pulled from under me at the last second!! Compares well to my ttc journey too sadly. But fingers crossed all will go ahead.

Well I’ve just had my lap and dye. Endometriosis was found on the back of my womb and some either side. It’s moderate and he didn’t remove it, I don’t know why!
I’m heartbroken and so disheartened with shitty news after shitty news. I fee like we haven’t been given a break since we started having investigations. I’m so lost with it all and didn’t get to speak to anyone so completely oblivious as to why it wasn’t removed l, what it means, what I can do to help and a million other things. I’m guessing I won’t find out anytime soon either which just makes me feel like curling up under a rock and sleeping the world away.

Any positive information or stories would be so appreciated ❤️

Hi @Carley321 I was just going to post something similar - been wondering how everyone is doing as the world feels pretty bonkers right now. Feels like I should be able to go to sleep and wake up to normality again! Unfortunately that’s not likely to happen anytime soon 😕 Sorry to hear about your lap and dye. Hope you get an opportunity to ask why the endometriosis wasn’t removed - surely you should get some feedback after??

Is your wedding still going ahead @CNizzle ? It sounds like you’ve waited a long time for it - this virus has a lot to answer for!

How are you doing @BambiOnIce80 ? When is your 12 week scan? Hope you’re managing to stay calm amongst all the worry 💕 I finished work on Wednesday to self isolate and finding it really weird not being able to meet up with friends and family. I’d be going completely stir crazy if it wasn’t for my hubby, social media and trying to get out for a walk most days. I’ve been feeling baby moving a bit more now which is lovely and reassuring 🥰

Oh @Carley321 lovely I'm so, so sorry that they didn't remove what they found and didn't give you a proper consultation about what's happening next! 😢 And this horrid Covid19 craziness turning all the NHS services on their head definitely isn't helping, I know 😣 Is there any chance your private clinic would still see you and give you some guidance about options going forward from what they did tell you about the lap results? Sending you massive hugs - I absolutely know that feeling about the futility of it all 🤗❤️🤗❤️

I hope your keeping yourself and your bump safe @PixieN in these strange times? It must be helping that the schools have (mostly) closed now. Is that you off now until EDD? 🤞🏻

@CNizzle the unfairness of potentially having your wedding cancelled is unreal 😟 How the hell could anyone plan for something like this to happen?! Have you got any update?

I'm really sorry I haven't been keeping you updated ladies, but I was hoping I could get to next Friday's 12+3 scan before I updated you all. As things turned out, I was driving myself mental worrying about the Downs risk and felt I couldn't wait for next Friday (especially as I was worried my appointment would be postponed with all the Covid19 craziness going on 🦠). So, we booked private NIPT bloods for last Sunday (when I was 10+5) and toddled off to the clinic to get them done. They had to do a scan first to make sure I was past 10 weeks (the results wouldn't have been valid otherwise). When the embie popped up on the screen I could see something was very wrong - it was completely limp and there wasn't any little flickering heartbeat like there was at our 7 week scan. The sonographer confirmed it'd stopped developing at 8+5 weeks and had no heartbeat 😔 It's called a missed miscarriage, apparently. Missed because my body still very much thought it was pregnant and I'd had no sign of bleeding at all. We're beyond heartbroken 💔 So, I had to wait until Thursday to get a sideroom at the hospital to go for medical management (pills to induce abortion, basically 😢), which usually work within 24 hours. My body wasn't up for that, however, and was one of the unlucky few who takes 2 courses of tablets over 2 days and they just don't bloody work 😔 Ended up going to theatre late yesterday afternoon for 'surgical management', which was mercifully done under general anaesthetic was over in 20 minutes 😪 We're home now and trying to move on and deal with the mental/emotional side of things now that the physical part is out of the way.

I'm really sorry that this is such a heavy update and not the positivity that is much needed in these horrible times. I'm thinking of you all often, even if I'm not posting. Anyone of you please PM me if you want a really good moan/shoulder to cry on. I've got a sick note for 2 weeks and I'd love some company/a chat if any of you are about.x

@Carley321 feeling a little out back in sorts. I'm in a new cycle(cd7). Because of state closings I missed two doses of my med to induce ovulation so I'm LH testing early 😕. Who knows though we haven't gone out much so😊.

Oh @bambionice80 Words can't express how sad I am for you. sending all my love.
Last week was possibly the most stressful week of my life. Guests went from 80 to 60 between Saturday and Monday. I got totally freaked out, celebrant advised us to postpone everything. On Wednesday we came to the decision to try and have a private ceremony. Our venue agreed let us postpone the celebration and let us have access to do the legal bit. then the venue shut officially on Friday afternoon. They still agreed to let us marry, so we just that.
Hair & makeup came, we had flowers & a photographer, a smaller cake & 9 guests: Parents, siblings and a best man.
Got a Chinese takeaway delivered.
Do you know what? It was perfect. Casual, no drama. Possibly the last wedding before the lockdown.
Hope this is a little glimmer of good news in a rather bleak news week

@Positivegal21 I'm not sure how the Letrozole works, but I'm to take it on the 3rd day of my period and for five total days. And it somehow triggers the egg to release. I had to take it on the 5th day but no worries I got my LH Peak today 😁.

So some of you may know my ttc drama. For those of you who don't...39, 2 ectopics, 1 tube, 1 early miscarriage and 1 non viable 😒. Also never had Egg White CM so I think my CM is murdering hubby's sperm😞. That being said I was gonna to spend money on Preseed and other helpers as well as speak to my OBGYN. But due to the darn virus 🦠, I just changed my diet more and started upping my vitamin C, along with back to taking prenatal vitamins and vitamin E vaginally. I'm also taking Zinc, Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Fish Oil, and Flaxseed Oil. All Along with the Letorozle given to induce ovulation.

So I changed my LH Testing time to 12 in the afternoon thinking the earlier the better (I was testing at 2pm) not a good idea because I haven't been catching my peak for the last 2 cycles 😞. Tip: don't change what's not broken!

So I tested at 12 and it was super low. Around 6pm I go pee and when I wipe, I see it...this clear gel looking stuff and I'm immediately excited 😆! I check inside and YEP, sure enough it's The Illusive EGG WHITE CM🤗😁😆!! Of course we immediately did the BD. And then I say hmmm, let's test that LH and low and behold I'm in Peak!

Just when I was sure this would never be my dream met, it's small things like this that give me hope.
