It’s time for a new thread for a lovely bunch of ladies supporting each other through our TTC efforts, possible IVF plans, possible alternative life journeys and adventures with or without babies after the age of 35. Think that about sums it up Grin

@BambiOnIce80 @79andnotout @CNizzle @VenusStarr @QuantumGirl @Carley321 @Wannabemum38 @Russkispy @Kescilly @Laney79 @Weathergirl1 @Pinkywoo @birdbybird

I’ve included everyone who has posted on the last four pages of the previous thread. Hope that’s o.k as I know some of you have graduated to another thread, but still like to check in and apologies if i’ve missed anyone.

Lots of luck to everyone at whatever stage we’re at 💕

UPDATE: I spoke with my OBGYN this morning. My Progesterone level is 24(she said it's in normal range and that if it was lower than 20 it would be a problem). I just read the my range is also normal if I just ovulate which would make since according to my crazy OPKS(it gave me two peaks).
According to the blood test, I'm not pregnant 😕.
All my other levels are good. She still wants me to take 400mg if Progesterone daily and to up my vitamin D3 from 10,000 to 15,000 for 3 months.
My pain is most likely Endometriosis pain. I have a sonogram tomorrow to look for any issues. Still must schedule a colonoscopy 😒.
Praying everyone else has good news 🤞🏽

Gupster · 14/01/2020 16:56

Good afternoon ladies.
I have just started TTC, I'm in the first month and thought it might help to join a forum to chat to women going through the same things.
I am 37 and currently on CD13.
Good luck to everyone x

Swife · 14/01/2020 17:20

Hello @Gupster much baby dust your way🧚🏽‍♀️ and welcome!

Gupster · 14/01/2020 17:35

@swife thank you, you too x

Gupster · 15/01/2020 18:57

I'm so confused about ovulation, I think I had ovulation symptoms on Sunday but I would of only been CD10 is this possible?
I started using opks on Monday but they are getting fainter not darker 🤔

Any advice is massively appreciated on this.

Emma x

Swife · 15/01/2020 19:00

Got some good news today. I had my sonogram done and, hooray!, my uterus is PERFECT! And I am, in fact, ovulating. I still need to schedule the colonoscopy but I'm good and just waiting for my AF to arrive so we can start again.
My doc feels like I went wonky because, in my depression from the last loss, I went off track with keeping my Endometriosis diet so this is a flare. I'm getting back on track TODAY!

I hope everyone one else is doing well in their journey as well.

Carley321 · 15/01/2020 19:14

That’s good news @Swife glad your feeling positive. Is there an endo diet? I’m intrigued.

@Gupster I think everyone is different. But I wouldn’t say that CD10 is to early. So may have been ovulation. What were your symptoms?
Also opks can be so weird. I’ve had cycles where they gradually get darker and cycles where they’ve got light to almost nothing and the same day I’ve had a blazing bfp. But I’ve always had some sort of line. It’s all very confusing and we are all so different.

I’m having a weird one myself. I had a very dark ppl on CD8 and since then I’ve literally had nothing, not even a hint of a second line? I’ve never ever had only the 1 line showing. There’s not even a faint of a second. It’s very bizarre. I’m so confused. Help anyone?

Thinking of you @BambiOnIce80 💐.

Swife · 15/01/2020 19:17

@Gupster I just started this month with OPKs as well. Two apps that are great at helping pinpoint when you ovulate are PREMOM & FEMOMETER.
My cycles have been off and I was confused when I got 2 positives on my OPKs, but it was right and the second surge was my real ovulation as confirmed by my OBGYN. They're worth it to try them.
Hope this helps 😊

Gupster · 15/01/2020 19:20

@carley321 thanks, that's reassuring. I had really bad aching pains in my pelvis and felt nauseous and then the following morning felt fine.
It's a mind field this baby making 😂 x

Gupster · 15/01/2020 19:22

@Swife thank you, that does help, I think I just need to go with the flow 😁 x

Swife · 15/01/2020 19:27

@Carley321 thanks😁. There is an Endo diet!😁. It's really just a list of foods that will cause flares and food that help keep them at bay. I posted mine that my OBGYN has me on.

I don't think it's too unusual to to not have a second line at all @Carley321 - it happened to me all the time on the run up to my LH surge (but then we both know that I'm probably not normal! 😜). So sorry that you're not getting a straight answer from the NHS yet 😔 All I can say is that once you're actually into the ACU and the system kicks in it goes from being frustratingly slow to head-spinningly fast! 🤯 Have you called them up to make sure you're on the waiting list for the lap or to say you'd be happy to take a cancellation on short notice (only if you are, of course 😉)?

I've had a bit of a ropey 24 hours (epic stomach pain), but my eggs are out 🥚👍 14 in total, so we were able to do the split cycle we wanted! 🥳 Out of the 7 subjected to ICSI, 2 didn't make it past being 'peeled', one fertilised abnormally (so no good ❌) and 4 fertilised normally 👌🏻Out of the 7 subjected to IVF, 1 wasn't quite mature enough, 2 fertilised abnormally and 4 fertilised normally... so there goes my slutty/hard-boiled egg theory! 🤷‍♀️😄

Swife · 15/01/2020 19:46

@BambiOnIce80 so does that mean you have 4 eggs 🥚 to implant! 🎉😁🥳

BambiOnIce80 · 15/01/2020 20:01

8 normally fertilised embryos at the moment @Swife , but it's still early days and we need to get to day 3 or 5 to see if they're still going to be viable to transfer... it's going to be a loooooong 2 to 4 days! 😏

Swife · 15/01/2020 20:07

@BambiOnIce80 lol my math always sucked 😂 That's great! Good luck and LOADs if baby 👶🏻 dust🧚🏽‍♀️!!!

Pinkywoo · 15/01/2020 20:19

That sounds really promising @BambiOnIce80, hopefully you'll have some good news soon! 😘

CNizzle · 16/01/2020 01:58

Ooh @BambiOnIce80 lovely to hear how your getting on. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you, hopefully sounds promising x
Hi @Swife & @gupster, welcome back @clare19821
Hope everyone's well.

I've desperately trying to lose weight, (for the wedding, which is now only 8 weeks away!!) And for ivf referral, but still got a stone to go. It's not coming off easy. I'm definitely not gonna get the referral before my 40th, so probably only entitled to 1 NHS round. Still, better than nothing. Other half went away this weekend I was due to OV on Monday, so I think we probably missed it. Only managed to dtd last weds pm & monday pm. Another month gone. Meh.

Carley321 · 16/01/2020 10:05

@Gupster I usually have the lower down dull ache and bloating - I think this is the day I ovulate, because its usually the morning or day after a bfp opk. it certainly is, it's a very hard game.

@Swife oh wow, that is a lot of things isn't it. So do you suffer with quite a lot of pain throughout your cycle?

@BambiOnIce80 that sounds very promising. So pleased you have something positive going on. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Yes I have rung before Xmas it's looking like end of Feb March for the lap. Its been so frustrating I receive a letter and am asked to ring, then I'm fobbed off and told to ring some one else. I've give up ringing now. it causes me such frustration and anxiety. I may actually ring again today to see if there is any new news. wish me luck.

Swife · 16/01/2020 15:39

@Carley321 Good luck. I hope you get what you need soon🤞🏽.

As for my Endo: The pain was unbearable especially during sex😫. Almost sent me to the hospital once. But once my OBGYN find what was wrong( after like a 5 min exam). She put me on Norethindrone to completely stop my cycles and once I became 90% clear she said I could go off and start TTC. Now that I'm off there is pain but now it's almost on par with normal cycle pains.

Gupster · 16/01/2020 21:56

So I've had 2 faint lines on opk and today no second line at all, I must of ovulates already, might stop testing until after af and then start a fresh to track my cycle, on CD15 so got a while before af arrives. Keeping everything crossed for some BFP in the forum this month 🧚 spreading the dust xx

Gupster · 17/01/2020 19:25

I'm having weird day today, CD16, feeling really sick, no appetite, really bad headache and feel like I might have a temperature, not sure if I'm coming down with something or if it symptoms of hormones, anyone got any advice please?

PixieN · 18/01/2020 15:15

Good luck @BambiOnIce80 that all sounds really exciting 🤞💕 Everything is crossed for you. Keep us posted x

Welcome back to the thread @Clare19821and hello @Swife and @Gupster 👋 Sorry you’re feeling poorly @Gupster hope you feel better soon.

Wow @CNizzle can’t believe it’s only 8 weeks until your wedding 💕 That’s gone so fast! Sounds like you’re really close with the weight loss too!

Sorry to hear about delays with your investigations @Carley321 It’s really frustrating. There’s so many steps and hurdles to jump through. Bambi’s right though - once the system properly kicks in it can all end up being really fast, scarily so!

I’m waiting for the 20 week scan now and trying not to worry that they’ll find something wrong - 4 more weeks to wait! I’m really tempted to book a private scan, but not really got the spare money and I don’t get paid again until the end of the month. January is hideously long!

Thanks @Pinkywoo! 🤗 How's your LO coming along? Is the sleeping through the night continuing?x

OMG @CNizzle , only 8 weeks to go?! 💒🤩 Massive well done on on the weight loss (slow and steady wins the race and all that 👍). Are you going on honeymoon after the big day?

I know it's super frustrating @Carley321 , but if you've got the patience to (calmly and politely 😉) keep on at them, then if there's a cancellation you'll be on their mind 🤞🏻

16 weeks already @PixieN ?! 😍 There's always some milestone/step to get to in all this, isn't there?! 😏 I hear you on the payday pain too! 🙄 Luckily I get paid at the end of the week to make January a little less painful 💸

Little update from me: it was day 3 for the embies yesterday and there are 7 still going and looking 'good' quality, so transfer should be tomorrow 🤞🏻🔮 Between day 3 & 5 are when the big changes take place to take the embies from a collection of cells to a blastocyst, so there's quite a lot that can go wrong before tomorrow. The clinic have been great and have said they'll ring me in the morning if everything's gone tits-up and there's nothing to transfer, so at least we won't get a nasty surprise once we're at the clinic 😪 @PixieN , did you do anything in particular on ET day post transfer? Carry on as normal? Chill out? Do house work? Eat pineapple cores?! 🍍😬 Any tips would be gratefully received 😘

PixieN · 18/01/2020 17:31

Best of luck for your embies @BambiOnIce80 🤞 It all sounds really promising. 7 is a great number and the fact that they’re good quality is amazing! We were down to two on day three before egg transfer and neither were the best quality, but one looked better than the other and had improved to the next grade up (which I’m guessing is currently my 16 weeker 😁) Hopefully you’ll be able to freeze some. Did you make a decision on whether to implant one or two? I can’t really remember what I did to be honest, but think I just took it easy that day (I had to book the day off work) and it was back to normal the next day, so back to a full day teaching! 😳 It was a Friday though and I only work part time now which has massively reduced my stress levels! I do think it helped to keep busy and take my mind off things the day after - I definitely didn’t do any housework though (or eat pineapple lol) and avoided doing anything strenuous. I was expecting it to be painful afterwards, but it was fine. The two week wait is tough though! X
